Office Keys
If you are issued office space in the SDSC building, it will be your responsibility to secure your key(s). If you lose your keys, the replacement fee is $20.00 per key. You may also be held liable for the cost of rekeying efforts, with an approximate cost of $100.00.
Keys are issued by the SDSC Facilities Manager, Sandy Davey.
Office Lockouts
If you are locked out of your office, see one of the Systems Administrators in SDSC Operations, located on the 1st floor of the SDSC central building in room A-2. They are available 24 hours a day. You will need to leave an ID in exchange for a key to unlock your office.
Hotel Office Space
Hybrid and remote workers who do not have an assigned office may reserve a hotel office for days they are on campus. Make a reservation in Workplace Services. Hoteling is being rolled out across SDSC by division and group, so if you don't see space available, talk to your supervisor.
Building Access Cards
For entry into the building after business hours, and for using alternate entryways, you need a building access card. Office keys will not work on the exterior doors. If you have a UC San Diego One Card, it can be programmed for building access. Go to SDSC Operations, located on the 1st floor of the SDSC central building in room A-2, to program your One Card or to be issued a separate building access card.
Locker Room & Bike Storage
SDSC has a locker room with showers and a bike storage area for occupants of the building. They are both located on the basement level. Enter through B-02. Bikes must be tagged with identification, including your name and phone number. Do not leave any personal items behind in the lockers, on the floor, or in the shower area. SDSC staff population is too large to be able to allocate lockers to individuals, so you may use the lockers only for the duration of your workout.
