The acquisition process has more layers not only because it has 4 unique ideogram-based writing system (Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji and Romaji), but also has differences in writing procedures (e.g., orthographic rules, punctuation marks, etc.). The interaction in daily life with Japanese language and culture is extremely limited, particularly for the Japanese L2 learners who are outside of the Kanji cultural zone. Those kinds of factors make the academic misconduct issues in Japanese language learning/writing process more complicated. On the other side, academic misconduct issues (detection techniques, tools, prevention methods, etc.) in the Japanese language are mostly considered within the framework based on Western languages. However, as it is mentioned earlier, Japanese language has fundamental differences in linguistic, communic...

In order to solve these problems and create a new future for rural, many policies and projects have been carried out since then. However, most of these mainly focused on an economical development by increasing rural population with "external" sources which are totally irrelevant to daily life and future of rural community. On the other hand, people in rural such as elderly and women and their children who live urban (in this study we call them "Living-Apart Adult Children") were not given a leading role in order to sustain community and were counted as "Ghost Members" of rural community. Therefore, in this paper, we would like to consider what LAAC mean to their hometown and discuss what kind of possibilities and roles LAAC should have for creati...

However, in recent years, by changing social and economical backgrounds, macro aspects mentioned above have been switching to micro aspect, which considers and/or discusses the integration and “communality” on rural society from the viewpoint of individual relationships and/or networks. Nowadays, researches that are focusing on this micro aspect have been increasing. In this paper, we also focused on “communality” and discussed about it from the viewpoint of micro aspect through a case study on I district in Yamato City, Kumamoto Prefecture. As a result, some findings given below were elucidated. 1.“Communality” of people in rural community, is shaped by several norms and partner change that depends on the differences in the internalization of norms, 2. Meaning of “communality” differs by internalization of norms, 3.Differences given above cause some conflicts in t...

In the Sociolinguistic Competence courses graduates do not only learn the theoretical sociocultural background of Japanese society and language.
