En este trabajo se presentan los resultados e interpretaciones de las excavaciones del Recinto 2 ... more En este trabajo se presentan los resultados e interpretaciones de las excavaciones del Recinto 2 del sitio arqueológico Pajchela Núcleo, ubicado en la localidad de Cusi Cusi (Puna de Jujuy, Argentina). La excavación de este recinto presentó un contexto complejo, con el hallazgo de más de diez mil huesos de camélidos junto con una gran cantidad de rocas de variados tamaños y, por debajo, el techo quemado de la estructura. Se ha interpretado como un evento de clausura mediante un incendio y el arrojado de los restos de una comida colectiva al interior de la estructura. El sitio Pajchela Núcleo se caracteriza por la presencia de un gran montículo plataforma escalonado con cámaras, estructuras chullparias y espacios de producción agrícola, y ha sido interpretado como un lugar de memoria. El hallazgo de este evento de clausura signado por la comensalidad colectiva, refuerza esta interpretación y permite pensar a Pajchela Núcleo como un espacio de encuentro y reunión.
RESUMEN En este artículo compartimos la experiencia de investigar una colección de objetos sin co... more RESUMEN En este artículo compartimos la experiencia de investigar una colección de objetos sin contexto, perteneciente al Museo Nacional Terry (Tilcara, Jujuy, Argentina). Se trata de objetos y fragmentos cerámicos que hemos podido distinguir como arqueológicos, históricos o actuales, pero de los que no se sabía con precisión cómo han llegado a conformar el acervo patrimonial del museo. Amparándonos en los aportes realizados desde la arqueología y la antropología en torno a la relación dialéctica entre humanos y objetos, partimos de la premisa de que la ausencia de contexto arqueológico no es un impedimento para la investigación. Es por ello que este texto plantea la posibilidad de generar nuevos contextos a partir de relevar narrativas del presente, las cuales se pueden rearticular en historias que añaden capas de significados a los objetos del pasado. Con esto en mente, elaboramos preguntas orientadas a profundizar en la relación entre objetos arqueológicos y contextos de hallazgo en la arqueología en general y en su desarrollo específico en Tilcara, así como en distintas instancias de la práctica arqueológica, como los rescates y el estudio de colecciones.

En este artículo exploramos el entramado de relaciones sociales que se activan a partir de la rel... more En este artículo exploramos el entramado de relaciones sociales que se activan a partir de la relación entre comida y fiesta comunitaria durante la celebración del 3 de mayo, fiesta patronal y de aniversario fundacional de una localidad andina (Cusi Cusi, puna de Jujuy, Argentina). Desde una perspectiva versada en el ritmoanálisis y la etnografía, mediante observaciones participantes realizadas en el año 2022, analizamos los múltiples ritmos que caracterizan tanto a la planificación como al preparado y servido de platos tradicionales a centenares de comensales. Estos ritmos son marcados por materialidades, actores y simbologías propios de un contexto extraordinario. Una polirritmia en la cual el carácter cívico, por un lado, y el religioso o de celebración tradicional andina, por el otro, cohabitan entre protocolos, expectativas, reciprocidades y resolución de imprevistos.

de normalidad y los imaginarios de futuro durante la
pandemia de COVID-19 en Tilcara (Jujuy, Argentina). Nos concentramos en el análisis de tres momentos etnográ" cos, que se desprenden del trabajo de campo desarrollado
durante 2020 y 2021. Nuestro objetivo fue registrar los cambios que se han producido en los regímenes corporales y materiales impuestos por las características epidemiológicas de la pandemia, reunidos en los protocolos de bioseguridad.
Para ello, nos centramos en ciertos antecedentes producidos por la antropología en cuanto al estudio de situaciones de incertidumbre y esperanza, por un lado, y de los desastres, por el otro. Así, damos cuenta de las repercusiones que estos
novedosos regímenes tuvieron en las formas de concebir la normalidad y de imaginar el futuro en este contexto de profunda incertidumbre entre vecinos y vecinas de Tilcara,
principalmente en función de la dependencia económica del pueblo en cuanto a la actividad turística, que fue la que más sufrió el impacto por la interrupción global de la movilidad en 2020 y 2021. Distinguimos, así, cuatro instancias vinculadas con la construcción social de la normalidad, que no se suceden como etapas sino que corresponden a procesos superpuestos: una normalidad pre-pandémica, un
estado de anormalidad, la necesidad de normalización, y la construcción paulatina de una nueva normalidad. En este sentido, la pandemia de COVID-19 nos impulsó al desarrollo de herramientas de investigación orientadas a sostener el
extrañamiento, en el marco de una constante normalización. Nuestro trabajo de campo se vio interpelado por los cambios en los protocolos de bioseguridad, debiendo adaptarnos a este campo urgente, dinámico y emergente sin poner en riesgo nuestra salud o la de otras y otros.
La pandemia de COVID-19 produjo una profunda transformación de la vida cotidiana en sus múltiples... more La pandemia de COVID-19 produjo una profunda transformación de la vida cotidiana en sus múltiples dimensiones. En este artículo analizamos la aparición, incorporación y deterioro de las materialidades pandémicas en Tilcara (Jujuy, Argentina), aquellas que fueron implementadas en el espacio público como parte de los protocolos de bioseguridad: cartelería, demarcadores de distancia, barbijos y dispensadores de alcohol en gel. En términos teóricos, triangulamos aportes de tres tradiciones diferentes: los estudios antropológicos y arqueológicos sobre las materialidades, las cronotopías culturales y la antropología de la experiencia. A partir de estas corrientes y del registro fotográfico y etnográfico que produjimos en Tilcara durante los dos años de pandemia, planteamos cómo este contexto impuso un régimen material heterogéneo que ha dejado un margen para la creatividad social y la apropiación y resignificación local de estas materialidades, con un impacto en la configuración de diversas alteridades. Situados en el fin de los protocolos, donde las materialidades están sobreviviendo a las prácticas pandémicas, abordamos finalmente algunas claves interpretativas para pensar en estos objetos como el registro material de un pasado reciente.
En este trabajo presentamos las interpretaciones de los materiales recuperados en las excavacione... more En este trabajo presentamos las interpretaciones de los materiales recuperados en las excavaciones del Recinto 1 de Casas Quemadas, Cusi Cusi, Jujuy. Este recinto posee fechados que sitúan sus ocupaciones entre los siglos XV y XVII. Proponemos un enfoque micro basado en las prácticas sociales de sus habitantes para caracterizar los cambios y continuidades entre el periodo Tardío/Inka (1430 – 1535 DC) y el periodo Colonial temprano (1535-1660 DC). Nuestro argumento es que, en las etapas iniciales de la conquista española, el modo de vida de los habitantes no varío significativamente. Para ello, comparamos los conjuntos materiales provenientes de las ocupaciones Tardía/Inka y Colonial temprana. Los resultados muestran que la estructura de las actividades realizadas en el Recinto 1 fue prácticamente similar en ambos momentos, aunque algunos bienes españoles como clavos y restos de Bos taurus fueron incorporados a las actividades. Vinculamos esta situación con la ausencia de sectores de producción minera en nuestra área de estudios que interesaran a los españoles. Esta situación habría cambiado después del siglo XVII, cuando el recinto es abandonado y utilizado como paradero de arrieros de vacas, práctica que también relacionamos con el caravaneo prehispánico y con una continuidad en el uso del paisaje.

En 2021 cumplimos cinco años de actividad. En este tiempo hemos desarrollado distintas propuestas didácticas y participado en múltiples y diversos espacios del ámbito público y privado relativos a la educación y la comunicación de la ciencia, en Jujuy y Buenos Aires. En este trabajo, a modo de primera objetivación colectiva, presentamos nuestros lineamientos pedagógicos y las diferentes propuestas de taller que diseñamos. A su vez, a partir de cuatro experiencias transformadoras, planteamos una serie de reflexiones y balances respecto de la divulgación de nuestra disciplina.

Y no solo sobre los animales que aparecen capítulo a capítulo, sino también con muchas más ideas sobre nosotros mismos, en tanto humanos. O mejor, sobre ese guion que nos separa –y une– a los unos y a los otros en el campo de la antropología de las relaciones humanos-animales.

Para ello, me centraré en un acercamiento teórico al carácter multidimensional de la comida. La propuesta consiste en entender el comer y el beber desde una visión holística, buscando dar cuenta de su carácter cotidiano, identitario, situado, sensorial, pero sobre todo, político y como práctica de memoria. Este enfoque busca indagar, también, acerca de las relaciones de la comida con las formas de producción y obtención de los alimentos. Es por eso que propongo, además, explorar las concepciones de animal que solemos utilizar desde las miradas zooarqueológicas con el objetivo de comenzar a delinear las bases para una zooarqueología de la comida donde se encuentre situado el acto de comer y nuestras interpretaciones sobre las relaciones entre humanos y animales del pasado.

En este trabajo nos proponemos dar cuenta de algunas transformaciones ocurridas en la dinámica y ... more En este trabajo nos proponemos dar cuenta de algunas transformaciones ocurridas en la dinámica y la fisonomía de Tilcara (Jujuy, Argentina) durante la pandemia del COVID-19 y el aislamiento. En el texto, dialogamos con otros y otras habitantes del pueblo, a quienes hemos entrevistado para esta ocasión. Nos concentramos, así, en dejar un registro etnográfico sobre los cambios en los modos de habitar Tilcara en cuanto a ciertas problemáticas que se han evidenciado en este contexto, relacionadas con la movilidad, la economía, las prácticas culturales y el sector sanitario. Con este horizonte, presentamos, en primer lugar, algunas características de la Tilcara pre-pandémica, luego ofrecemos un contexto general de la provincia, para finalmente analizar las transformaciones producidas en Tilcara durante la pandemia.

conjunt... more Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar los resultados preliminares del análisis del conjunto zooarqueológico proveniente del recinto 1 del sitio Pajchela Núcleo, ubicado en la cuenca superior del río Grande de San Juan en la Puna jujeña, Argentina. Propongo las primeras interpretaciones acerca de las prácticas domésticas relacionadas con la preparación de alimentos, focalizadas en el manejo y el consumo de animales entre los siglos XIV y XV, durante el periodo de Desarrollos Regionales Tardío en el sitio. La muestra está compuesta por un total de 1.590 especímenes óseos, de los que pudieron ser identificados un total de 662 (42%), mientras que los 928 fragmentos restantes permanecen como no identificados (58%). El conjunto general presenta una baja diversidad taxonómica. El taxón más abundante es Artiodactyla, seguido por Camelidae. Aunque se encuentra emplazado en un contexto agrícola, el recinto presenta una lógica de manejo de los rebaños y las prácticas vinculadas con la obtención y consumo de animales que responde a una estrategia pastoril, en la que la producción secundaria, posiblemente de fibra y la capacidad de transporte, jugaron roles importantes. Considero, entonces, que la formación del registro arqueofaunístico responde a una lógica propia de un sistema agro-pastoril complejo.
En este trabajo presentamos los resultados de las excavaciones llevadas a cabo en el Recinto 1 de... more En este trabajo presentamos los resultados de las excavaciones llevadas a cabo en el Recinto 1 de Pajchela Núcleo, Cusi Cusi, cuenca superior del Río Grande de San Juan y los interpretamos en términos de los diferentes modos de habitar que se sucedieron en el tiempo. A partir del análisis de la estratigrafía y los materiales recuperados proponemos que en el recinto hubo tres ocupaciones: la fundacional, con fechados en el Periodo de Desarrollos Regionales Tardío (1200-1450 d.C.) vinculada con poblaciones de la esfera Doncellas-Casabindo; una segunda, en momentos Inkaicos y Coloniales Tempranos (1450-1660 d.C.) y finalmente, una tercera, que se inicia con la institucionalización de los cambios producidos por la conquista española y continúa hasta nuestros días. Interpretamos estas ocupaciones en términos de un paisaje multitemporal, buscando generar una interpretación actual de los diferentes agentes relacionados con la materialidad (comuneros/as; arqueólogos/as; turistas).

Se trata de una comida cuya preparación varía de una región a otra y de una comunidad a otra. A partir de un trabajo de campo llevado a cabo durante su preparación en la comunidad de Cusi Cusi (Puna de Jujuy, Argentina), buscamos rastrear los sentidos y las prácticas que se encuentran envueltos en esta comida tradicional que suelen cocinar las mujeres cuseñas en momentos festivos. Nos proponemos observar y analizar detalladamente este plato de kalapurca, similar a algunos, pero distinto a todos. Analizaremos las prácticas culinarias locales preguntándonos de qué manera se encuentran interpeladas por los pasados construidos, las personas, los animales, los vegetales y los otros ingredientes que forman un conjunto de redes entrelazadas en esa gran olla que hierve en el fuego.

doméstica... more Este trabajo se focaliza en el estudio de las estructuras de combustión y las prácticas domésticas vinculadas a ellas, en el marco de la problemática del sistema de asentamiento pastoril en el área de Cusi Cusi (Jujuy, Argentina). El propósito es discutir desde un enfoque etnoarqueológico algunos aspectos centrales de la manera en que los pastores actuales utilizan el espacio, con el fin de interpretar prácticas relacionadas al funcionamiento de las unidades domésticas. El relevamiento de la arquitectura de los puestos y las casas de campo no solo nos permite entender la importancia de la ubicación de las estructuras de combustión y la relación con el espacio construido, sino que además permite contextualizar las prácticas domésticas asociadas, y poder interpretar parte de la historia del asentamiento.

El sitio se encuentra compuesto por recintos habitacio�nales y estructuras agrícolas y de manejo del agua conformando un sistema productivo complejo. Se ex�cavó un recinto habitacional localizado entre las estructuras productivas para interpretar su temporalidad y las actividades realizadas. En relación con la representación taxonómica, el conjunto arqueofaunístico se caracteriza por la presencia en mayor medida de camélidos. Sin embargo destacamos la aparición de especímenes de Bos Taurus, que conjuntamente con otras materialidades posicionan la ocupación del recinto hacia momentos Coloniales tempranos de fines del Siglo XVII. Esto permitió una discusión sobre las relaciones entre los habitantes del Recinto 1 con el sistema capitalista.

Fundamentalmente me focalizaré en el estudio de las estructuras de combustión y las prácticas domésticas vinculadas a ellas, en el marco de la problemática del sistema de asentamiento pastoril. Este enfoque puede ayudarnos a interpretar prácticas relacionadas al funcionamiento de las unidades domésticas. Además, a través del relevamiento de la arquitectura podemos definir e interpretar el espacio que las familias habitan cotidianamente y de qué manera organizan y utilizan tal espacio.

En este artículo analizamos la aparición, incorporación y deterioro de las materialidades pandémicas en Tilcara (Jujuy, Argentina), aquellas que fueron implementadas en el espacio público como parte de los protocolos de bioseguridad: cartelería, demarcadores de distancia, barbijos y dispensadores de alcohol en gel. En términos teóricos, triangulamos aportes de tres tradiciones diferentes: los estudios antropológicos y arqueológicos sobre las materialidades, las cronotopías culturales y la antropología de la experiencia. A partir de estas corrientes y del registro fotográfico y etnográfico que produjimos en Tilcara durante los dos años de pandemia, planteamos cómo este contexto impuso un régimen material heterogéneo que ha dejado un margen para la creatividad social y la apropiación y resignificación local de estas materialidades, con un impacto en la configuración de diversas alteridades. Situados en el fin de los protocolos, donde las materialidades están sobreviviendo a las prácticas pandémicas, abordamos finalmente algunas claves interpretativas para pensar en estos objetos como el registro material de un pasado reciente.
En este trabajo presentamos las interpretaciones de los materiales recuperados en las excavacione... more En este trabajo presentamos las interpretaciones de los materiales recuperados en las excavaciones del Recinto 1 de Casas Quemadas, Cusi Cusi, Jujuy. Este recinto posee fechados que sitúan sus ocupaciones entre los siglos XV y XVII. Proponemos un enfoque micro basado en las prácticas sociales de sus habitantes para caracterizar los cambios y continuidades entre el periodo Tardío/Inka (1430 – 1535 DC) y el periodo Colonial temprano (1535-1660 DC). Nuestro argumento es que, en las etapas iniciales de la conquista española, el modo de vida de los habitantes no varío significativamente. Para ello, comparamos los conjuntos materiales provenientes de las ocupaciones Tardía/Inka y Colonial temprana. Los resultados muestran que la estructura de las actividades realizadas en el Recinto 1 fue prácticamente similar en ambos momentos, aunque algunos bienes españoles como clavos y restos de Bos taurus fueron incorporados a las actividades. Vinculamos esta situación con la ausencia de sectores de producción minera en nuestra área de estudios que interesaran a los españoles. Esta situación habría cambiado después del siglo XVII, cuando el recinto es abandonado y utilizado como paradero de arrieros de vacas, práctica que también relacionamos con el caravaneo prehispánico y con una continuidad en el uso del paisaje.

En 2021 cumplimos cinco años de actividad. En este tiempo hemos desarrollado distintas propuestas didácticas y participado en múltiples y diversos espacios del ámbito público y privado relativos a la educación y la comunicación de la ciencia, en Jujuy y Buenos Aires. En este trabajo, a modo de primera objetivación colectiva, presentamos nuestros lineamientos pedagógicos y las diferentes propuestas de taller que diseñamos. A su vez, a partir de cuatro experiencias transformadoras, planteamos una serie de reflexiones y balances respecto de la divulgación de nuestra disciplina.

Una pregunta sin respuesta, o más bien, sin una respuesta. Porque si con algo nos quedamos los y las lectoras de este libro es con muchas más ideas respecto de qué es un animal que antes de tenerlo en nuestras manos. Y no solo sobre los animales que aparecen capítulo a capítulo, sino también con muchas más ideas sobre nosotros mismos, en tanto humanos. O mejor, sobre ese guion que nos separa –y une– a los unos y a los otros en el campo de la antropología de las relaciones humanos-animales.

Para ello, me centraré en un acercamiento teórico al carácter multidimensional de la comida. La propuesta consiste en entender el comer y el beber desde una visión holística, buscando dar cuenta de su carácter cotidiano, identitario, situado, sensorial, pero sobre todo, político y como práctica de memoria. Este enfoque busca indagar, también, acerca de las relaciones de la comida con las formas de producción y obtención de los alimentos. Es por eso que propongo, además, explorar las concepciones de animal que solemos utilizar desde las miradas zooarqueológicas con el objetivo de comenzar a delinear las bases para una zooarqueología de la comida donde se encuentre situado el acto de comer y nuestras interpretaciones sobre las relaciones entre humanos y animales del pasado.

En este trabajo nos proponemos dar cuenta de algunas transformaciones ocurridas en la dinámica y ... more En este trabajo nos proponemos dar cuenta de algunas transformaciones ocurridas en la dinámica y la fisonomía de Tilcara (Jujuy, Argentina) durante la pandemia del COVID-19 y el aislamiento. En el texto, dialogamos con otros y otras habitantes del pueblo, a quienes hemos entrevistado para esta ocasión. Nos concentramos, así, en dejar un registro etnográfico sobre los cambios en los modos de habitar Tilcara en cuanto a ciertas problemáticas que se han evidenciado en este contexto, relacionadas con la movilidad, la economía, las prácticas culturales y el sector sanitario. Con este horizonte, presentamos, en primer lugar, algunas características de la Tilcara pre-pandémica, luego ofrecemos un contexto general de la provincia, para finalmente analizar las transformaciones producidas en Tilcara durante la pandemia.

conjunt... more Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar los resultados preliminares del análisis del conjunto zooarqueológico proveniente del recinto 1 del sitio Pajchela Núcleo, ubicado en la cuenca superior del río Grande de San Juan en la Puna jujeña, Argentina. Propongo las primeras interpretaciones acerca de las prácticas domésticas relacionadas con la preparación de alimentos, focalizadas en el manejo y el consumo de animales entre los siglos XIV y XV, durante el periodo de Desarrollos Regionales Tardío en el sitio. La muestra está compuesta por un total de 1.590 especímenes óseos, de los que pudieron ser identificados un total de 662 (42%), mientras que los 928 fragmentos restantes permanecen como no identificados (58%). El conjunto general presenta una baja diversidad taxonómica. El taxón más abundante es Artiodactyla, seguido por Camelidae. Aunque se encuentra emplazado en un contexto agrícola, el recinto presenta una lógica de manejo de los rebaños y las prácticas vinculadas con la obtención y consumo de animales que responde a una estrategia pastoril, en la que la producción secundaria, posiblemente de fibra y la capacidad de transporte, jugaron roles importantes. Considero, entonces, que la formación del registro arqueofaunístico responde a una lógica propia de un sistema agro-pastoril complejo.
En este trabajo presentamos los resultados de las excavaciones llevadas a cabo en el Recinto 1 de... more En este trabajo presentamos los resultados de las excavaciones llevadas a cabo en el Recinto 1 de Pajchela Núcleo, Cusi Cusi, cuenca superior del Río Grande de San Juan y los interpretamos en términos de los diferentes modos de habitar que se sucedieron en el tiempo. A partir del análisis de la estratigrafía y los materiales recuperados proponemos que en el recinto hubo tres ocupaciones: la fundacional, con fechados en el Periodo de Desarrollos Regionales Tardío (1200-1450 d.C.) vinculada con poblaciones de la esfera Doncellas-Casabindo; una segunda, en momentos Inkaicos y Coloniales Tempranos (1450-1660 d.C.) y finalmente, una tercera, que se inicia con la institucionalización de los cambios producidos por la conquista española y continúa hasta nuestros días. Interpretamos estas ocupaciones en términos de un paisaje multitemporal, buscando generar una interpretación actual de los diferentes agentes relacionados con la materialidad (comuneros/as; arqueólogos/as; turistas).
La kalapurca es un plato tradicional de la cocina andina, de origen aymara y con gran difusión en... more La kalapurca es un plato tradicional de la cocina andina, de origen aymara y con gran difusión entre comunidades de Chile, Bolivia y Argentina. Se trata de una comida cuya preparación varía de una región a otra y de una comunidad a otra. A partir de un trabajo de campo llevado a cabo durante su preparación en la comunidad de Cusi Cusi (Puna de Jujuy, Argentina), buscamos rastrear los sentidos y las prácticas que se encuentran envueltos en esta comida tradicional que suelen cocinar las mujeres cuseñas en momentos festivos. Nos proponemos observar y analizar detalladamente este plato de kalapurca, similar a algunos, pero distinto a todos. Analizaremos las prácticas culinarias locales preguntándonos de qué manera se encuentran interpeladas por los pasados construidos, las personas, los animales, los vegetales y los otros ingredientes que forman un conjunto de redes entrelazadas en esa gran olla que hierve en el fuego.

El propósito es discutir desde un enfoque etnoarqueológico algunos aspectos centrales de la manera en que los pastores actuales utilizan el espacio, con el fin de interpretar prácticas relacionadas al funcionamiento de las unidades domésticas. El relevamiento de la arquitectura de los puestos y las casas de campo no solo nos permite entender la importancia de la ubicación de las estructuras de combustión y la relación con el espacio construido, sino que además permite contextualizar las prácticas domésticas asociadas, y poder interpretar parte de la historia del asentamiento.

El sitio se encuentra compuesto por recintos habitacio�nales y estructuras agrícolas y de manejo del agua conformando un sistema productivo complejo. Se ex�cavó un recinto habitacional localizado entre las estructuras productivas para interpretar su temporalidad y las actividades realizadas. En relación con la representación taxonómica, el conjunto arqueofaunístico se caracteriza por la presencia en mayor medida de camélidos. Sin embargo destacamos la aparición de especímenes de Bos Taurus, que conjuntamente con otras materialidades posicionan la ocupación del recinto hacia momentos Coloniales tempranos de fines del Siglo XVII. Esto permitió una discusión sobre las relaciones entre los habitantes del Recinto 1 con el sistema capitalista.

Fundamentalmente me focalizaré en el estudio de las estructuras de combustión y las prácticas domésticas vinculadas a ellas, en el marco de la problemática del sistema de asentamiento pastoril. Este enfoque puede ayudarnos a interpretar prácticas relacionadas al funcionamiento de las unidades domésticas. Además, a través del relevamiento de la arquitectura podemos definir e interpretar el espacio que las familias habitan cotidianamente y de qué manera organizan y utilizan tal espacio.

En relatos sin consecución que van del renglón hasta la media carilla como máximo, el autor, utilizando la imaginación poética, se posiciona en primera persona del criminal y brinda explicaciones. Razones. Se defiende pero nunca niega su accionar. Cuenta los por qué y los cómo. A pesar de no ser un libro de antropología ni de arqueología, genera la potencialidad de pensar los fundamentos universales a través de los cuales un ser mataría a un semejante.

durante 2020 y 2021. Nuestro objetivo fue registrar los cambios que se han producido en los regímenes corporales y materiales impuestos por las características epidemiológicas de la pandemia, reunidos en los protocolos de bioseguridad.
Para ello, nos centramos en ciertos antecedentes producidos por la antropología en cuanto al estudio de situaciones de incertidumbre y esperanza, por un lado, y de los desastres, por el otro. Así, damos cuenta de las repercusiones que estos
novedosos regímenes tuvieron en las formas de concebir la normalidad y de imaginar el futuro en este contexto de profunda incertidumbre entre vecinos y vecinas de Tilcara,
principalmente en función de la dependencia económica del pueblo en cuanto a la actividad turística, que fue la que más sufrió el impacto por la interrupción global de la movilidad en 2020 y 2021. Distinguimos, así, cuatro instancias vinculadas con la construcción social de la normalidad, que no se suceden como etapas sino que corresponden a procesos superpuestos: una normalidad pre-pandémica, un
estado de anormalidad, la necesidad de normalización, y la construcción paulatina de una nueva normalidad. En este sentido, la pandemia de COVID-19 nos impulsó al desarrollo de herramientas de investigación orientadas a sostener el
extrañamiento, en el marco de una constante normalización. Nuestro trabajo de campo se vio interpelado por los cambios en los protocolos de bioseguridad, debiendo adaptarnos a este campo urgente, dinámico y emergente sin poner en riesgo nuestra salud o la de otras y otros.
