Abstract: ɛ -insensitive loss function is often employed in the twin support vector regression (TSVR). However, it can not effectively address the data with Gaussian noise. Huber loss function can suppress a variety of noise and outliers and yields great generalization performance. Motivated by this, we propose a novel twin support vector regression with Huber loss for the noise data in this paper. Experiments on nine benchmark datasets with different Gaussian noise show the validity of our proposed algorithm. Finally, we apply our method to the financial time series data that usually contain noise and outlier, and it also produces great…performance.

Abstract: The use of image fusion technology in the area of information processing is continuing to advance in depth thanks to ongoing hardware advancements and related research. An enhanced convolutional neural network approach is developed to fuse visible and infrared images, and image pre-processing is carried out utilising an image alignment method with edge detection in order to gain more accurate and trustworthy image information. The performance of the fast wavelet decomposition, convolutional neural network, and modified convolutional neural network techniques is compared and examined using four objective assessment criteria. The experimental findings demonstrated that the picture alignment was successful with…an offset error of fewer than 3 pixels in the horizontal direction and an angle error of less than 0.3∘ in both directions. The revised convolutional neural network method increased the information entropy, mean gradient, standard deviation, and edge detection information by an average of 46.13%, 39.40%, 19.91%, and 3.72%. The runtime of the modified approach was lowered by 19.42% when compared to the convolutional neural network method, which enhanced the algorithm’s performance and boosted the effectiveness of picture fusion. The image fusion accuracy reached 98.61%, indicating that the method has better fusion performance and is of practical value for improving image fusion quality.

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy pose significant risks to both maternal and fetal health, necessitating safe and effective therapeutic interventions. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the potential of an extract derived from Falcaria vulgaris (FV), loaded with exosomes to form the Exo/FV complex, as a novel therapeutic agent for the management of hypertension in pregnant mice: antioxidants, antimicrobials, and phenolic compounds present in FV lower blood pressure. METHODS: The isolation of exosomes was done by ultracentrifugation methods and the FV was loaded into the exosomes by electroporation method. RESULTS: The Exo/FV was found to be spherical with diameter ranges…from 20 to 30 nm and they were tested for biocompatibility in NHI 3T3 cell lines and found to be effective. This research investigated in vivo hypertension in mice induced by L-NAME and treated with FV and Exo/FV and found that AChE and MAO determine mice’s redox state tends to reduce blood pressure. Increased non-protein thiol (NP-SH) and decreased lipid peroxidation were also found, and PDE-5, ACE, Arginase, and MDA activity has also been tested. CONCLUSION: This analysis showed that Exo/FV effectively treated hypertension during pregnancy.

Abstract: To improve the robustness of video transmission, a layered HEVC multiple description video coding (MDVC) based on 3D dual-tree discrete wavelet transform (3D DDWT) is proposed in this paper. The base layer of the coding structure consists of bitstreams coded by an HEVC with low bitrate, and then duplicated to each description. The error frames of the reconstructed base layer and the input video sequence are coded by a 3D discrete wavelet transform encoder to produce four coefficient trees with redundancy. After noise-shaping, these four trees are partitioned into two groups, forming the enhancement layer of diverse descriptions. As the…directional selection property of 3D DDWT, the error matching problem can be solved without performing the motion estimation and motion compensation in each description, the complexity of the MDVC algorithm can also be reduced. Experimental results have shown that the proposed algorithm improves the error resiliency of HEVC while maintaining the coding efficiency.

Abstract: Diabetes-associated cognitive decline (DACD) is a brain injury induced by diabetes mellitus, with cognitive impairment as the major symptom. Growing evidence has revealed that DACD is correlated with disruptions in synapses involved in cognition. Within synapses, more specifically in areas of postsynaptic density (PSD), there is a high concentration of proteins that receive and transduce synaptic information. In the present study, to identify the differentially expressed PSD proteins among DACD mice, ZiBuPiYin recipe (ZBPYR)-treated DACD mice and control mice, we applied isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) with LC-MS/MS technology, by which three biological replicates and three technical…replicates were examined. A total of 24 and 23 differentially expressed proteins were observed in control versus DACD mice and in DACD versus ZBPYR-treated DACD mice, respectively. Notably, we found ‘Protein processing in endoplasmic reticulum’ and ‘PI3K-Akt signaling pathway’ might be impaired in DACD pathogenesis, while Growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 might be a crucial protein as a molecular target of the neuroprotective effects of ZBPYR. To our knowledge, this is the first study to provide a reference proteome map for DACD and ZBPYR-treated DACD mouse forebrain PSD to aid understanding the underlying mechanisms of DACD and ZBPYR.

Abstract: We report the case of a 19-year old man who presented to our institution with a history of pain of one week in the ulnar side of the left wrist and continuous pressing sensation in the palm. According to patient, there was no history of acute hand trauma. The conventional roentgenograms did not show the fracture and computerized tomographic (CT) scanning demonstrated a complete fracture of the hook of the hamate. The patient was given a surgical intervention and the hamate bone was reduced through a palmar skin incision. After surgery, the operated hand was immobilized in a wrist brace…and the patient was put on a rehabilitation protocol. At the last follow-up, the patient was able to return to normal living activities without any symptoms. We reviewed the latest articles of the past 18 years and compared the research studies related to the diagnosis and treatment of the hamate hook fracture. Our conclusion is that CT scan is the most effective diagnostic tool for detecting the hamate hook fracture. Three-dimensionally (3D) reconstructed images based of CT could provide more accurate and insight illustration for better evaluation in surgical planning.

Abstract: BACKGROUND: R2R3-MYB transcription factor (TF) family plays important roles in various biological processes in many plants, especially in the regulation of plant flavonoid accumulation. The fruit of Lonicera caerulea contains abundant anthocyanin. OBJECTIVE: The R2R3-MYB TF family was systematically analyzed according to the RNA-seq data, and the R2R3-MYB candidate genes that were involved in anthocyanin biosynthesis in the fruit of Lonicera caerulea were screened. METHODS: The R2R3-MYB TFs in Lonicera caerulea were identified, and the physical and chemical properties, protein conserved sequence alignment and motifs of each R2R3-MYB TFs were analyzed using bioinformatics methods. The expression levels of these genes…and anthocyanin levels in different tissues and different developmental stages of fruit were determined by RT-qPCR and pH shift method. RESULTS: A total of 59 genes encoding R2R3-MYB TFs in Lonicera caerulea were identified and clustered into 20 subgroups (C1 to C20) based on the relationship to AtR2R3-MYBs. Expression profiles showed that the expression of CL6086 and CL552 in fruit were higher than other tissues, and upregulated in the veraison fruit compared to the green ripe fruit. As the expression of the two genes was concurrent with the anthocyanin content, and showed high correlation with anthocyanin biosynthetic structural genes, they were considered as closely related to anthocyanin biosynthesis in the fruit. CONCLUSION: The results provide a systematic analysis of LcR2R3-MYBs, and the foundation for further molecular mechanisms research of anthocyanin biosynthesis regulated by R2R3-MYB in the fruit of Lonicera caerulea .

Abstract: New energy integration is thought to be one of the most potential solutions to support the power system with a sustainable energy infrastructure. However, new energy is an uncertain power generation resource, and the electricity generated by it has the characteristics of randomness, intermittency and reverse peak regulation. Its large-scale integration into the power grid makes the operation and reliability scheduling of the power system more challenging. It was important to build a wireless sensing and monitoring network to monitor the power and change trend of the new energy field (station) in real time. The energy consumption of wireless sensing…monitoring network is an important factor to improve the reliability of new energy scheduling. Based on the energy consumption of the wireless sensing monitoring network built by the new energy scheduling, the compression sensing technology was integrated and the network routing protocol (I-LEACH protocol) was optimized. The sampling data was transmitted by the cluster head node at the compression rate of 0.6, the improved OMP (Orthogonal Matching Pursuit) algorithm was reconstructed to achieve reliable data transmission, and the network energy consumption was further reduced. Compared with the I-LEACH routing protocol network, the experiments show that the network residual energy of the proposed method increased by 22% and the life cycle increased by about 30%. This method is helpful to improve the reliability of new energy power dispatching system and it can provide reference for realizing the reliability scheduling of new energy power system.

Abstract: Electric vehicle (EV) wireless charging technology has recently attracted a lot of attention and has a broad potential for commercial application development. A fundamental performance indicator of wireless charging systems is efficient transmission. Magnetic coupling mechanism design and circuit parameters have the greatest effects on the transmission efficiency of the system. In this study, the output power and efficiency of the wireless power transfer (WPT) circuit were theoretically computed based on the LCC-type resonant network. Simulation studies demonstrate that the transmission efficiency and output gain deviate significantly from the expected value when circuit parameters are changed. To improve transmission efficiency,…the optimal impedance configuration was created using a semi-controlled rectifier circuit. Based on electromagnetic field theory and equivalent magnetic circuit model, a new contactless transformer structure was optimized and created, and the new contactless transformer had a higher coupling coefficient. The coil offset had a greater impact on the transmission efficiency. The results indicate that within a certain distance, the coupling coil offset had no impact on transmission efficiency, and beyond that distance, the transmission efficiency was almost non-existent. Both the feasibility of the practical verification and the accuracy of the theoretical study were tested using a low-power wireless charging experimental setup. This paper provides design guidelines for wireless charging systems using circuit parameter sensitivity analysis and contactless transformer optimization design.
