So, this paper goal was to compare the hydroxyproline concentration before and after 30RM muscle endurance training, since hydroxyproline can be used as a biomarker of connective tissue damage. For such it was necessary to compare the muscle endurance training acute effect on the hydroxyproline concentration of 8 trained men whose ages varied between 17 and 25 years. A basal urine collection and a three 30RM test were performed. After the recovery, they performed three sets of 30RM and another urine collection two hours later was taken. The statistical treatment used to compare the averages oh the hydroxyproline concentration before and after training across paired Student t-test showed no significant difference (p>0.05). So, it is not possible to infer that there was no damage through this method of analysis.

Methods: a almost experimental research was used, with no control group, using test and retest after the application of each exercise. 13 male subjects were participated in this investigation, with minimal 6 months of strength training experience, average age 23 1,85 years, from a sports club in Niteroi, RJ, with no positive answer on the PARQ (Physical activity readiness Questionnaire). The subjects made part of two groups in different periods: Group dumbbell Fly (GDF, n = 13) and Group Bench Press (GBP, n = 13) The groups performed a collection of a resting 24h period urine samples and a 1RM test afterwards. 48h later, they performed the maximum number of repetitions at 80% of 1RM, initiating the collection of urine samples immediately after the test for the period of 24h. The marker HP was analyzed by the colorimetric method in 24h expressed in mg/d. The Borg Cr10 scale was used to measure the levels of pain of the subjects. For the treatment of the scores was used the Shapiro-Wilk test for the samples analysis of homogeneity and analysis of variance (ANOVA) for repeated measures, with the LSD comparison test and a 95% significance level was adopted (p<0.05). Results: it was observed that there is significant difference between the concentrations of basal HP to 24H and levels of pain in GDF (Δ%=124,46; p=0,000)(Borg pre=1,54; pos=6,31) and GBP (Δ% = 108,52%, p = 0,000)(Borg pre=1,53; pos=6,31). It follows that the maximum number of repetitions at 80% of 1RM in both exercises are sufficiently intense to cause a lesion in the framework of connective tissue in muscle and tendon, and elevate levels of pain. The subjects were 508 students (10,35 + 2 year old) from Colégio Pedro II, separated by their previous knowledge about the theme. The control group (G0) received no instruction. The experimental groups received different teaching approaches: regular class (G1), class supported by projector based AR system (G2), augmented book (G3), digital book and a regular class (G4 and G5). Preliminary studies had to be developed to perform the experimental study: the ushiro-ukemi characterization; the 3D character modeling and animation; the AR systems; the comics about ushiro-ukemi; the digital book (VR); the augmented book (AR); the questionnaire and motor test creation and verification of their validity and reliability. Finally during the experimental study, Kuskal-Wallis ANOVA showed significant difference between groups for the questionnaire (p < 0,0001) and for the motor test (p < 0,001) results. The test of multiple comparison between the ranks mean showed that G0 differed significantly from all the other groups for questionnaire and motor test results. G2 scored 6,7 (median) and differed significantly (p < 0,05) from all the other groups for the motor test results only. All experimental groups have presented evidence of validity as auxiliary teaching tools for Physical Education and Sport classes."

The purpose of this investigation is to verify if mental training helps to increase muscular strength after four weeks of training. Twenty eight male, young adults, with experience in strength training participated in this study. After 1-RM for bench press, subjects were randomly separated in two groups, strength training (G1) and mental imagery training (G2). They trained for 4 weeks, 3 days a week, 3 sets of 4 to 5 repetitions with 90% of their maximal repetition. The G2 had mental imagery training before the strength training and during the intervals. Results demonstrated better gains for G2 (9,6%) than G1 (5,4%), what indicates that mental imagery training is a good strategy for better gains in strength training programs.
