Handsfree for Web: A Google Chrome extension to browse the web via voice commands

Published: 13 May 2019 Publication History

Abstract

The predominance of exclusively manual interaction required when interacting with a browser and websites is presented as a restrictive condition. This limitation was the starting point and the main motivation for the development of a web navigation model and a tool that can be used to browse the web via voice commands. This tool is proposed as a hands-free solution for web navigation, it provides new interaction mechanisms and new ways of accessing web content.
