Origin of the Name

[edit]

The source says it is from her grandaunt, not from her aunt. i changed it 84.56.162.167 (talk) 21:00, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Update February 7, 2019: she also answers that question herself in this Wired interview from January 2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsQfxb--UZo — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.169.163.72 (talk) 01:14, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Maria Hill

[edit]

See discussion at Talk:The Avengers (film project)#Maria Hill.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 19:34, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than starting another section with the same title I'll just state that in Spider-Man: Far From Home Colbie Smulders was credited with the role of "Maria Hill" and not any other name or role. Anonymous editors keep making changes to the Filmography entry. Smulders only played the role of Maria Hill. The role of Soren was played by an uncredited Sharon Blynn. -- 109.78.244.23 (talk) 21:44, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Phrasing in her intro?

[edit]

I'm sure she's great in Stumptown, but even if it's her current project, why does it deserve first mention over her most well known role from How I Met Your Mother? If anything, her current project should be the last thing brought up in her introductory paragraph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:5800:27E0:41CD:2A5E:514D:B9EA (talk) 22:13, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cobie is a Canadian-American

[edit]

Cobie has lived in the United States for 2 decades and became an American citizen in 2020. There is a user that doesn't want that fact to be featured in the intro (like every other dual citizen is on Wiki). Anyone know what's going on? https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/how-i-met-your-mother-turns-15-cobie-smulders-best-job-ever-becoming-dual-citizen-224951316.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAANvDfx8WzXXS0393sU3Dqh5rE0LEK1BMSVl9QgR7QjbA1O2gqi8nznfLYuv1ED79pfNYX44e9iCzMrl31Rv5tnMENENZNoUfTZwkj40_zMFfH-7x7cPS6vGYNPd88dvZLop6ePL8lHAd8d8Sd00WjaefakswSzoBi0JApN5wI40V JohnnyLounge21 (talk) 03:38, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@JohnnyLounge21 - Your claim that "(like every other dual citizen is on Wiki)." is false.
Many notable people that have dual or triple citizenship do not mention this in the opening sentence per WP:ETHNICITY. Unless this is deemed particularly relevant to the subject's notability and other similar factors.
The source you provided literally states that the main reason why Smulders became a dual citizen was for voting purposes:
She decided to become an American citizen primarily so she can vote [...] And honestly, I was sick of not voting.
Beyond that, she was born and raised in Canada and gained notability as a Canadian, not an American. If there are other arguments you'd like to mention I'm here for the discussion. Clear Looking Glass (talk) 13:14, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
