Between the Cross Canada countdown and Billboard Canadian Hot 100, who checked the Canadian music chart for the list of number-one hits? -sd-100 Sept 29 2007, 15:01 Eastern time zone

Canadian Singles Chart & Cashbox

[edit]

I forgot to add, could be possible then the Canadian Singles Chart had fit the void between RPM and Billboard Canadian Hot 100? Also Cashbox got their own list of top songs of Canada http://www.cashboxmagazine.com/dispwksing.aspx?id=104&time=58 -sd-100 Oct 9 2007, 14:50 Eastern time zone —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sd-100 (talkcontribs) 18:50, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That would be ideal, if somebody can actually find an archive from which to build the appropriate lists. Jam doesn't keep archived charts publicly accessible; only the current one is accessible from their website. Bearcat 18:53, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Internet archive have some back-up copies from December 2004 to July 2007,http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/Charts/SINGLES.html unfortunately they don't have the archives dated before December 2004 http://web.archive.org/web/20041226010450/http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/Charts/SINGLES.html Sd-100 (talk

Others Canadian charts

[edit]

I checked some sites and I founded a more longer list of sites who list Canadian charts http://www.alaskajim.com/charts/currentsingles/international/canada.asp and one of these links goes to Radio & Records http://www.radioandrecords.com/Formats/Charts/All_Charts.asp I don't know if they could count as official as well —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sd-100 (talkcontribs) 8:35, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

replaced Cross Canada Countdown by Canadian Singles Chart

[edit]

I replaced the Cross Canada Countdown by the Canadian Singles Chart because I found by luck then the Cross Canada Countdown was a chart used by CMT Canada http://www.angelfire.com/music4/top20/specials.html comment added by Sd-100 (talkcontribs) 16:01, 23 October 2007 EST

1996-2000 period

[edit]

Since the Canadian Singles Chart had been incepted in 1996, should we include a list of their list as well since they co-existed with RPM from 1996 to 2000? However, it'll be more harder to find since the Internet archive don't have any back-up copies. --Sd-100 (talk) 14:00, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CHUM chart before RPM magazine

[edit]

I also taught of this, could the CHUM chart from its inception in 1957 could be the "official" list of number-one hits of Canada before the creation of RPM-magazine in 1964?--Sd-100 (talk) 14:00, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to include the CHUM charts from 1957 to 1963 as part of the official list of number-one hits of Canada --Sd-100 (talk) 18:43, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of number-one digital songs in the Canadian Single template

[edit]

I don't know if it's a good idea or not but as a suggestion, I wonder if it could be possible to add to the Canadian Singles Template, the lists of the number-one digital songs? --Sd-100 (talk) 23:15, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I added these in february mind you i did not include a edit summary,i have found another since you brought it up which is named different to the rest List of number-one music downloads of 2010 (Canada) will add shortly DanTheMusicMan2 (talk) 01:07, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! :-) Sd-100 (talk) 14:37, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The list of number-one digital songs had been deleted but it can still be found elsewhere on a fork of Wikipedia.

I don't know if you're interested to revive the list of number-one music downloads (Canada) or not, I only inform you then the list of number-one music downloads of 2023(Canada) is still updated on Infogalactic. --Sd-100 (talk) 16:37, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Sd-100: Per WP:NAVBOX: "Finally, external links should not be included in navigation templates." Including these as external links is trying to get around the fact that the digital song number-one lists were deleted by consensus as not notable. Please do not ignore or try to circumvent that consensus. WP:DRV exists if you wish to revisit those articles' deletion. Ss112 11:05, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize for the late reply, but is it far-fetched to think then it looks like what some people thought at Wikipedia is waste, it's a treasure for Infogalactic (it's more or less based on the old saying "One man's trash is another man's treasure")? If you're a bit curious, I'll keep updating the list of number-one digital songs of 2024 (Canada) on Infogalactic. Sd-100 (talk) 19:13, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
