Pretty much my reasoning for Wikiquote:Votes for deletion/Template:BlockedLTA. This one is also unused and can be replaced by {{Sockpuppet}} when actually needed. — ~~~~

I can't see how (they have the same layout too). The fact that this one is supposed to be for LTAs doesn't make it better. ~~~~

Benefit of requiring substitution. I can only see how it makes things harder, like not being able to simply user Special:Whatlinkshere, not being able to keep all uses up to date with the current layout through transclusion, and posting a huge block of code potentially not understood by newer editors onto user/user talk pages. If that is your only "improvement" then maybe it's not needed after all. ~~~~

Okay. It appears that substitution is needed for referring to {{LTADatabase}}. A "database" for LTAs is unhelpful in the same way LTA tags are. ~~~~

Well, a quick search on the substituted text shows: four GRP socks, four spambot pages at Category:Suspected sockpuppets of UlrikeEbsworth0 (no worth in tagging them either, with dozens of accounts being created and locked every day), and an IP together with its talk at Category:Suspected sockpuppets of Phatblitz1 (for a user that isn't even blocked?). That's not a lot of pages anyway, but it isn't even used meaningfully. ~~~~
