1. SABERES PREVIOS (EXPLORACION.

En esta lección haremos énfasis en los nombres contables e incontables.(count & non-
count nouns)
Recordemos que un sustantivo es una persona, cosas, animal o lugar.

Recordaremos el vocabulario aprendido en la guía anterior y en los videos.


2. ESTRUCTURACIÓN (PRÁCTICA)

1. PARA HOY:

Sabemos que, con una dieta


balanceada, tendremos siempre
una excelente salud, un cuerpo y
una mente sanos.

Por eso es importante conocer los


nutrientes que contienen los
alimentos que a diario
consumimos.

For today we are going to talk about a balanced diet with nutrients, proteins, vitamins and
minerals, carbohydrates, fats and fibre.
1) Read: (lea esta información no la copie).

Nutritionist say:
-Vitamins and minerals help you grow properly. Fruit and vegetables are
important because they give you vitamins.
-Protein is an important nutrient. Protein increases your body mass and it also
helps your muscles to grow big and strong. Types of food= meat, chicken, dried
beans, dairy products and nuts.
- Fibre helps your body to digest food. Types of food= cereals and whole grain.
-Carbohydrates give the energy. Types of food= bread, starches (potatoes, rice,
pasta), sweets.
Con base en la anterior lectura, responda la siguiente pregunta.
❖ What do you eat usually have for lunch?
Give a short presentation about the nutrients in your favorite dish.
Example: my favorite dish is sancocho because give me lots of energy
and has carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals.
Sancocho: meat and chicken -- nutrients = protein.
Plantain, yucca, potato – nutrients = carbohydrates.
Onion and coriander –nutrients = vitamins and minerals.
Make a poster (in your notebook) about the dish you selected.

2) Here is some information about traditional Colombian dishes.


1 It is a pig stuffed with yellow rice, pea puree and pork meat. You eat with
arepa (a corn bread). It is salty and it has a strong flavor.
2 It consists of white rice, red beans, ground beef, black pudding, fried pork
skin, arepa, avocado and fried egg.
3 It has chicken or fish. It contains yucca, corn and you eat it with rice and
banana.
• Answer these questions:
a. What are the names of the before dishes? (ajiaco, lechona and bandeja
paisa)
b. Where are these dishes from?
c. What typical dishes from other regions do you know?
d. Where do they eat them?
e. Are those traditional dishes healthy food? Why?

Colin’s habits.
During the week, I usually have cereal for a breakfast but on weekends, I have
eggs and bread for breakfast.
I eat soup every day. I never eat chicken on Saturday. I always have sancocho
on Sunday.

COUNTABLE AND UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS


(suantivos contables e incontables)

Por favor lea las explicaciónes,con mucha atención, antes de desarrollar los ejercicios.

Los sustantivos contables: como su nombre lo dice se pueden contar y tienen un plural.
Eg. Egg----eggs. Apple---apples. Orange--- oranges.

Los nombres o sustantivos incontables son aquellos que no podemos delimitar


individualmente porque forman parte de un todo y no tienen plural.
Eg. Salt,sugar, bread,rice meat, oil etc.

Con los contables en singular usamos a o an eg. an apple, an egg, an orange,


Tambien se puede utlilzar números two apples, three eggs, five oranges.
Con los incontables utilizamos medidas de cantidad en libra, litros, tonelada, botella etc.
A slice of cake, a glass of water, a pound of rice, two pounds of salt, two liters of milk,
three pounds of butter etc.

SOME / ANY = Los utilizamos con contables y no contables
