Breaking down comprehension tasks

Read the text first and then read the questions carefully to understand what is being asked.

El Museo Del Prado

El edificio que hoy sirve de sede al Museo Nacional del Prado en Madrid fue diseñado por el arquitecto Juan de
Villanueva en 1785, como Gabinete de Ciencias Naturales, por orden del rey Carlos III.
El museo fue inaugurado en 1819 – hace casi doscientos años - y desde esa fecha a lo largo de su historia, ha
cumplido con la alta misión de conservar, exponer y enriquecer el conjunto de las colecciones y obras de arte que,
estrechamente vinculadas a la historia de España, constituyen una de las más elevadas manifestaciones de
expresión artística de reconocido valor universal.
El Museo del Prado ha recibido en su sede 2.696.666 visitantes en 2015, un 6,30% más que el año anterior. La
media diaria de visitantes en los 362 días de apertura ha sido de 7.449 visitantes.
