A recent large scale surveys used the CSPro package and SPSS for data entry fact sheet and tabulation generation for the survey. The paper will discuss the outcomes of using CSPro and data processing system methods in a large scale survey. It is suggested that the use of CSPro and SPSS has achieved a better data quality than other data processing packages would have. The use of CSPro has a number of distinguished advantages, such as improvements in data quality and turnaround times. It will critically review how the quantitative method worked in this specific situation before placing the discussion in its wider data processing system methods and research environment in Nigeria.

Primary data was collected using questionnaire method. The questionnaire was designed using Census Survey Processing (CSpro) package. A sample size(n) of 120 students each was randomly selected from the target schools; PAN and GCN. Descriptive statistics was carried out and a binary regression model was fitted. The results show that about 67% of the respondents viewed mathematics as a difficult subject and about 25.2% failed mathematics, while only about 12% of the total respondents agreed that mathematics is not a difficult subject. 67% of the respondents agreed that applying different method of solving mathematics problems will help students in understanding the subject. The result shows that students who agreed to like mathematics and viewed mathematics as not difficult subject have 38% chances of excelling in mathematics. This paper recommends that unfavorable students attitude and believe in mathematics should be curtail professionally and early enough before students utterly give up in learning mathematics and consequently their performance in mathematics being a compulsory subject at primary and secondary schools level in Nigeria.

The aim of this research work is to describe students believe in mathematics and fit a binary logistic model of student performance on students believe and some demographic variables. The method of data collection used is primary method of data collection, questionnaire was designed using census survey processing (Cspro) and sample of 120 students was randomly selected from each school. The method of data analysis used is descriptive statistics and binary logistics regression. The research shows that about 67% of the respondents’ view mathematics as a difficult subject and about 25.2% failed mathematics, while only about 12% of the total respondents disagree with the statement. 67% of the respondents agree that persistence with increase variation will help students in understanding the subject. The logistic model shows that students who like mathematics and view mathematics as difficult subject contributes significantly in the model. students who like mathematics have 38% chance of excelling in mathematics. Based on the findings the researcher recommends that unfavorable attitude and believe should be curtail professionally and early enough before students utterly give up in learning and/or performance in mathematics. Positive attitude towards learning and performing well in mathematics are necessary ingredients in secondary school mathematics education. There is need for teacher’s parents and any other educational stake holders to enhance this positive attitude.

Ordinary least square (OLS) regression technique was employed and model diagnostic test was carried out to determine the adequacy of the model. Considering the impact of time on changes in economic variables, the analysis was carried out using the multiple regression methoddata was obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical bulletin. The regression model fitted shows that the coefficient of the explanatory variablesare all significant in the model and the results of the multi-collinearity reveal that solid minerals are the most influential variables. Based on the findings the government should formulate appropriate policy measures that would motivate the firms in the industrial sector to enhance andimprovedtheir performance and contribution to the sector, this implies that the government should diversify by investing on other lucrative sectors such as agriculture, education and service industry to boost the economic growth.

The research is on the major impact of telecommunication and oil sectors on the growth and development of Nigeria income. The investigation is achieved, employing descriptive statistics, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The model fitted is adequate and reliable that can be used to predict future values of GDP growth. The outcome of the result reveals that oil sector contributes immensely than telecommunication sectors to the gross domestic growth in Nigeria. It become petinent that since oil and telecommunication are major player in economic growth and development, that they should be accorded due attention.

Recent drop in oil prices had led to calls for economic diversification away from oil. Using the service sector led growth, this research focus on modeling and forecasting the service sector of the economy using ARIMA model. Data on the contribution of the service sector to the Nigerian GDP was collected from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) between 1981 to 2018. ARIMA (1,2,4) with AIC= 13.59573 has been identified as an appropriate model for predicting the service sector of the Nigerian economy. This gives the series both stationarity and inevitability conditions for the model. The service sector has contributed an average of 2.09 trillion Naira during the period under study. As a knowledge intensive sector, enhancing service will require the possession of adequate skills and knowledge base.

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship among GDP, Education and Health Sector ... more The aim of this research is to determine the relationship among GDP, Education and Health Sector of the economy by using VAR and VECM model and to attempt to know the behavior of GDP if there is a shock in the contribution of education and health to the Nigerian economy. Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and Vector Autoregressive (VAR) are models which can be used for data series which are not stationary and have cointegration relationship (long term relationship). The model VECM can also be used to see the movement in one variable to give a response regarding the shock produce by another variable through the graph of Impulse Response Function (IRF). Based on the data on GDP, Health and Education Sector in Nigeria over the periods from 1981 to 2018, we have determine that the best VECM is (VECM(1)). Based on the graph of the Impulse Response Function (IRF) we have established that the response of GDP towards the shocks in the contribution of the education and health sector of the economy fluctuate and temporary over time. the proportion of shock towards the changed in GDP provides a negative response while proportion of shock in the change in GDP did not have a high contribution (effect) upon the education and health sector. It has become pertinent that the government should increase the rate of infrastructural development and funding of these sectors and also design effective policy implementation in order to increase the quality of services provided by these sectors.

The Auto Regressive Distribution Lag (ARDL) bounds test methodology is utilized to determine the long run relationship between unemployment and economic growth. The empirical findings using the ARDL Model confirmed that there exists an inverse relationship between economic growth and unemployment, and that unemployment leads to increasing crime rates in both short and long run.
