El Laboratorio de Idiomas de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires evalú... more El Laboratorio de Idiomas de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires evalúa y certifica desde 2010 a los alumnos de un programa de intercambio provenientes de universidades estadounidenses. Para aprobar el curso de español, los estudiantes deben presentar oralmente ante los evaluadores del Laboratorio una monografía que han escrito con la supervisión de sus profesores del programa. De esta forma, se evalúa una presentación oral académica, cuyos rasgos han sido definidos en base a las descripciones de estos géneros en español como lengua extranjera (Vázquez, 2001; 2005), y a los objetivos específicos de los cursos del programa referido. Este capítulo busca que los estudiantes de carreras de humanidades puedan apropiarse de un conjun... more Este capítulo busca que los estudiantes de carreras de humanidades puedan apropiarse de un conjunto acotado de conceptos fundamentales para reflexionar críticamente sobre sus propias prácticas letradas, para desarrollar un metalenguaje operativo en el intercambio en clase, y para llevar a cabo el trabajo posterior con géneros académicos de formación. Concretamente, se abordan las nociones de género discursivo en la unidad 1, de cultura disciplinar en la unidad 2, de discurso académico en la unidad 3, y de alfabetización académica en la unidad 4. Además de invitar a la reflexión y discusión a partir de estos conceptos, se ofrecen diversas ejercitaciones: se analizan pautas de escritura de congresos y revistas académicas, correcciones y devoluciones docentes en textos estudiantiles, rasgos léxicogramaticales en distintos géneros de formación, y consignas y pautas en materiales didácticos. Cada unidad concluye con ejercicios de recapitulación y síntesis.

En primer lugar, se trata de examenes de alta relevancia (Scaramucci, 2002) ya que son determinantes en las vidas de los sujetos que los rinden. Por otro lado, cada vez mas universidades federales brasilenas incorporan examenes de espanol en su ingreso, especialmente despues de la entrada en vigencia de la ley de obligatoriedad de la oferta de espanol en la escuela, en 2010. Entre los estudios que han tomado como objeto estos examenes, algunos han asumido la perspectiva del analisis de su constructo (Bachman y Palmer, 1996), a partir del analisis del discurso (Rocha Fraga, 2001) y desde el analisis textual, en examenes de ingles (Lopes, 2009). El CELU (Certificado de Español, Lengua y Uso) es la certificación oficial de español lengua segu... more El CELU (Certificado de Español, Lengua y Uso) es la certificación oficial de español lengua segunda o extranjera de la República Argentina, avalada por el Ministerio de Educación y la Cancillería y administrada por un Consorcio de treinta y cinco universidades nacionales. Desde el año 2004 constituye un instrumento de lingüística aplicada para la implementación de una política lingüística nacional. En estos doce años, ha generado un considerable impacto (Watanabe, 2004) en la formación docente y en la visión de lengua, tanto de candidatos como de profesores. El CELU es un examen de dominio (Alderson, 1998) con una visión social del uso de la lengua (Bajtin, 1982), colocando al candidato en situaciones de uso concreto de la lengua y convirtiéndolo en un sujeto activo frente a la lengua que intenta certificar. En los últimos años, se han publicado numerosos trabajos sobre el CELU. Furlán (2014) analiza la validez y la fiabilidad, Schlatter et al (2008) estudian la relación con el examen CELPE-Bras, y Pacagnini (2015) se ocupa de la evaluación de la interlengua fónica. En este trabajo, nos proponemos caracterizar el examen dentro del marco de la evaluación crítica (Shohamy, 1996, 2006) y de la visión social de la evaluación de la lengua (Mc Namara, 1996). Nuestro objetivo es analizar de qué maneras concretas el candidato del CELU se constituye un sujeto activo en la lengua que certifica. Para ello, relevaremos un corpus de exámenes de los dos últimos años con el objeto de analizar la visión de lengua que surge de las consignas. Los resultados se analizarán a la luz de los postulados teóricos de las teorías críticas de la evaluación.

Cuenta con prólogos de Charles Bazerman y Liliana Cubo de Severino. Se organiza a partir de los géneros discursivos de formación, disciplinarmente situados, que los estudiantes de grado deben efectivamente elaborar en carreras de grado de humanidades.
¿Cuáles son las secciones de una monografía? ¿Es distinto leer en historia y en filosofía? ¿Cómo se prepara un examen final oral? ¿En qué se parece una reseña estudiantil a una experta? ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre describir, comparar y justificar? ¿Cómo se discute con las fuentes? ¿Qué enseñan, solicitan y corrigen los docentes? ¿Cómo se planifica la respuesta a un parcial?
Estas son algunas de las preguntas que el “Manual” intenta abordar. Para ello, brinda definiciones, testimonios, ejercicios, instructivos, ejemplares y bibliografía actualizada. No solo se enseña cómo se comunica en la universidad, sino que se proporcionan herramientas para identificar, negociar y adecuarse a las prácticas letradas de cada situación, cada género, cada materia y cada disciplina de humanidades. También se busca, en sentido más amplio, hacer aportes al desarrollo de la didáctica de la escritura en educación superior.
La utilización de materiales y testimonios auténticos, recolectados durante la investigación y probados en talleres de escritura, garantiza un vínculo fluido entre el “Manual” y las prácticas efectivas que busca enseñar. Está destinado a docentes de escritura, docentes de las asignaturas, estudiantes de grado, formadores docentes, y escritores que quieran mejorar sus competencias letradas.

Para ello comparamos un corpus de presentaciones orales grabadas previamente analizado (Brown y Trincheri, en prensa), con la perspectiva de los evaluadores, a partir de las anotaciones vertidas en las planillas de evaluación. También tuvimos en cuenta las especificaciones del examen. Como resultado obtuvimos una serie de descriptores que nos permitirán ajustar la grilla existente y que pueden adaptarse a otras situaciones de evaluación.
