Indonesia as an archipelago countries demand modern boats for marine security, resulting in a sur... more Indonesia as an archipelago countries demand modern boats for marine security, resulting in a surge in the development of past patrol vessels. The investigation in this study focused on designs with and without a tunnel at the bottom to determine which design provided the least resistance. CFD offer realistic findings for comparing the problems encountered by two distinct kinds of fast patrol boats. The computation the use of no tunnel, the use of a tunnel on fast patrol boat reduced resistance by an average of 5.4%. According to the results of the CFD simulations, using a tunnel may greatly reduce the high pressure at the bottom in interactions with the flow of water. The utilization of using tunnel is a solution that may be employed more successfully for fast patrol boat operation

This paper aims to determine the correlation of power propulsion to the hull-form parametric of t... more This paper aims to determine the correlation of power propulsion to the hull-form parametric of twin-propulsion tugboats. By using the regression method, an analysis of the technical data of existing tugboats is carried out. The data is obtained by collecting data on tugboats that are registered and in operation, including as many as 381 tugboats. From the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that the relations model power propulsion to hull forms is parametric, and the model was validated by testing the existing tugboat to determine how many errors the relations model has. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, power propulsion affects the hull forms parametric, where the increase in power propulsion will increase the value of the hull forms parametric, in this case the main dimension of the tugboat (L, B, D, and T). The value of power propulsion in the main dimension of a tugboat has a different effect on each type of tugboat.

Bagaimana mengaplikasikan teori foil pada hydroplane kapal selam sebagai system penyelaman , dengan membalik foil maka lift force tersebut menjadi gaya ke bawah, dengan demikian memungkinkan kapal selam dapat menyelam, melayang dan bermanouver di bawah air, seperti halnya gerak pesawat terbang yang terbang dan melayang dengan menggunakan sayap. This research intend to use the hydroplanes as the diving plan of the submarine itself, by knowing the hydrodynamic theoretical impacts. The research process is a simulation of diving plan installation as a maneuver equipment, what are the advantages and disadvantages of the hydroplanes, what is the effect by adding hydroplanes to the submarine’s stability while operating under water and also how many forces that works on the hydroplanes and how does the forces that works on the hydroplanes affecting the submarine while maneuvering under water. The modeling process and simulation are be done by using ANSYS 14.5 program to observe the effect of adding the hydroplanes on a submarine.
