The communication patterns of a madrasa principal can be done in various ways to influence or motivate subordinates to achieve the organizational goals. This qualitative research aims to describe and analyze the communication pattern done by principal of State Madrasa of Eelementary 1 Banyumas. Observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation are data collection methods carried out to madrasa principal, teachers, and students. The results indicated that the communication patterns used by madrasa principal include communication, interactional, social-psychological, persuasive, and newcomb. In addition, he also uses written and oral communication on matters considered urgent and important. The conducive madrasa culture and the commitment of all madrasa members play a significant role in the implementation of communication model.

Research on social capital in non-educational areas has been carried out by many experts, such as Bhandari & Yasunobu, Putnam, Coleman, and Paxton, etc. And, researches on social capital focused on educational institutions among others, carried out by Stoddart, Ju'subaidi, and Behtoui and Strömberg. They concluded that social capital is a determining factor in developing educational institutions. However, not all educational institutions are aware of this. This study aimed to analyze the social capital used by SMP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah and SMP Putra Harapan Boarding School in Purwokerto which have succeeded in building their schools. In the context of nation-state, a group of society who embrance Islam can be called as a minority, for they are little in number. They sometimes meet some unintended problems like politically marginalized, difficult to integrate, backward education, economy, a place for praying, permitted food and so on. The problem usually come from prejudice feeling or negative thinking from in the majority. But, the condition does not happen in Australia, even women are free to choose their proffesion. Interestingly, women have a better destiny than men. This study aims to describe and analyze the managerial supervision activities carried out by madrasah supervisors towards madrasah principals in the Banyumas district. This type of research is qualitative case studies, data collection administrative supervision using indepth interviews, observation and documentation. The data sources used as informants were the head of the supervisory group, the supervisors of the madrasah tsanawiyah, the leaders of madrasahs and staff. Then, the data collected is analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusions as in Miles and Huberman's theory. Based on the research results, it is known that managerial supervision activities are in a good position with a score range between 80-90. These activities include monitoring, assessment and evaluation, coaching, and follow-up. It is difficult to say that the diversity in using a language by men and women is just caused by their sexual difference. The fact show that the factor of social and culture plays more important role and determines how men and women should speak. There are, at least, three factors that influence in transforming the difference of language expression, that is, the domination or power, the different way of treating men or women, and socialization. Because of these factors, we find out some expressions, in English language, which represent gender inequalities; e.g., asymmetric marked and unmarked term, and semantical derogation.

Even though there is no representative data reporting the profile of Indonesian students’ proficiency in English, it seems that English teaching program has been largely unsuccessful. Factually, most of high school graduates just had average reading vocabulary of 1000 words, a number considered too small. This phenomenon needs an appropriate solution. Extensive Reading Program (ERP) may be the answer. Why? Because it can, with “easy and interesting” strategy, motivate students’ interest in reading, increase their language acquisition, and eliminate their negative predisposition on English as either difficult language or bored lesson.

The developent of madrasa should not depend on financial capital, like infrastructure and media. There is another variabel which has an important role, that is social capital. If the two variables are maximally used by the headmaster, madrasah will increase rapidly, moreover that madrasa has geneologically the big mass basis. The value education plays an important role to form children’s attitude. But it will be fruitless if it is just taught to the children by speech methode. Some experts claim that the appearing of negative conducts performed by teenagers is caused by the failure of using methode in the education of value. Moral is something practiced in our life, and not just be memorized, because it belongs to affective domain. Therefore, our schools just allocate a little and limited time to internalize it. The result is that the education of value turns to cognitive domain. So, we can see that there are many students with good remark but they act bad deed. Internal ization is regaded as the best way to plant that value.

Materi dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di Indonesia pada umumnya tidak terlalu memperhatikan perbedaan antara bahasa Inggris model British dan America, bahkan ia merupakan campuran antara keduanya. Memang kedua bahasa tersebut pada umumnya hampir sama, namun beberapa hal yang agak prinsip, perbedaan yang ada antara lain terletak pada sedikit tata bahasa, ucapan, dan yang paling banyak pada kosa kata. Dengan adanya perbedaan tersebut diharapkan bagi para pengajar di perguruan tinggi (STAIN) dapat memberikan penjelasan secukupnya kepada mahasiswa terhadap perbedaan tersebut sehingga dapat mengurangi kebingungan mereka.
