Selfie, has become one of the most commonly heard and said word in this era. Whenever people visit any place or go anywhere the first thing that pop-ups is to take selfies. This latest trend is now becoming an addiction among the society. Clicking selfies again and again can create addiction towards the mental disorder called as selfitis. In this paper, the recent trend in the selfie taking behaviour of people is briefly overviewed. The association between socio demographic factors such as age, profession, gender with the behaviour of respondents having mental disorder Selfitis is studied. We analyze 2 3 factorial design to study the impact on behaviour of respondents which takes them to mental disorder Selfitis. Further, Correspondence Analysis (CA) is performed to study the association between socio-demographic factors among age-group and gender.

This paper considers estimation of a finite population mean under two-phase sampling procedure involving two auxiliary variables with the assumption that population mean of the first (main) auxiliary variable is unknown whereas population mean of the second (additional) auxiliary variable is known accurately. This issue has been addressed by bringing out two generalized ratio-type estimators constituting two separate families/classes of estimators of course not necessarily disjoint. Some optimum properties of the proposed generalized estimators have been investigated and sufficient conditions for their superiority over the classical two-phase ratio estimator have been reported. After identifying some ratio/ratio-type estimators as specific cases of the said generalized estimators, both analytical and empirical comparisons among various estimators have been undertaken to show the effectiveness of the proposed estimation technique.

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is one of the most widely used techniques when welding is carried out to obtain extreme levels of strength. Welded Aluminium alloy structures form the major part of leading industrial technologies used in manufacturing. These friction-stir welded alloys are used in numerous applications like aerospace, military, automobile and related technologies. It is therefore, important to analyse this welded material for all kinds of processing defects. Porosity is one such type of defect which can affect the strength of a welded joint. This paper presents the porosity analysis of Al 6061 Aluminium alloys welded using FSW.

In this work, we report a combined experimental viscosity, UV and FTIR of ternary mixtures of 6, 8-dichloro-3formylchromone (DCFC)+ dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) + tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) and 6, 8-dichloro-3formylchromone (DCFC)+ dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) + ethyl alcohol (ET) at 303.15 K as well as synthesis and characterization of DCFC. Viscosity data over the entire composition range have been used to compute percentage (%) of alkanols. For DCFC + TBA + DMSO, minimum viscosity is about 90 % while maximum at 0 % and for DCFC + ET + DMSO; minimum viscosity is observed at 20 % while maximum at 100 %. FTIR study implies that υOH and υS=O for both mixtures are minimum at 90 % and maximum at 10 % indicating interaction becomes strong as the % of alkanols increases.

This study examined the subsurface layers, structures and possible source of heat of Ikogosi warm spring employing Vertical electrical sounding technique and Spontaneous Potential (SP) measurement of the surface natural potentials resulting from electrochemical reactions in the subsurface. Vertical Electrical Soundings using Schlumberger array were carried out at three (3) locations along a profile parallel to the flow of the warm spring. Dipole-dipole configuration was also employed to obtain the pseudo section of the subsurface. Along the same profile, Self-potential measurements were taken at every 5m interval along the traverse. The VES survey revealed KH (67 % representation) and HK (33 %) curve types with four subsurface geoelectric sections (the topsoil, fresh Basement, fractured basement and the fresh basement). The 2-D model apparent resistivity structure however, revealed five geoelectric layers including open fractured zone, fractured zone, highly weathered zone, partly weathered zone and fresh basement. The fractured zone houses the groundwater accumulation which moves gradually to where the fracture is open at the surface. The SP revealed existence of deep fracture housing large volume of water as indicated by the + and-sigh of the SP potential (1197 volt that subsequently dropped to-1785volt) at the warm spring site. The anomaly also signifies abnormal heat been generated at the bottom of the fracture which may arise from geologic processes that took place within the earth crust. This research needs further work employing Geophysical Radiation Technique to really unravel the source of the heat responsible for Ikogosi warm spring.

Ordinary things are the blends which isolate from different typical sources like plants, animals, creatures, frightening little creatures, plant microorganisms, and endophytes and marine. These are known as assistant metabolites since they are outlined on account of the enzymatic resections of fundamental metabolites (amino acids, sugars, supplements, etc) Terpenes have a spot with the best class of discretionary metabolites and in a general sense involve five carbon isoprene units which are gathered to each other (various isoprene units) by colossal number of ways. Terpenes are essential hydrocarbons, while terpenoids are changed class of terpenes with different viable social occasions and oxidized methyl pack moved or disposed of at various positions. Terpenoids have likely adversary of Inflammation activity is a restricted real issue wherein a piece of the body gets became flushed or augmented. The justification behind aggravation is to kill the hurt cells, removal of the necrotic cells and hurt tissues. The objective of this investigation work is to detach the terpenoids from Tridax daisy or Coatbutton s and Tagetes erecta of family Compositae, on the other hand known as Asteraceae.

The concept of sustainable development is characterised by integrating the social, economic and environmental dimensions. In addressing its implementation, literature on governing for sustainable development have demonstrated little success in policy integration. The advent of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was hailed as the turning point towards better integration with the outcome document emphasising that it must be seen as an integrated package with the goals and targets indivisible from each other. Nonetheless, as an outcome of a political process, it has been criticised from a scientific perspective of achieving a low level of integration. This paper attempts to assess the promise of SDGs of moving towards integration by assessing two levels of linkages. Firstly, tools for identifying functional linkages across SDG targets are assessed. Secondly, the political linkages, and more specifically, the institutional arrangements of the identified issue linkages are then identified to determine whether there is a correlation or mismatch between the two types of linkages. A case study to identify and implement the issue linkages of the drivers and benefit of forest cover (SDG 15.1) in Malaysia was undertaken for this purpose. The results demonstrated that by using a combination of existing approaches such as scoring of interaction of the SDGs and issue mapping through network analysis clusters of strongly inter-linked issues such as the Forest-Climate-Resilience nexus can be identified. The causalities between the issue linkages are, however, difficult to infer due to unreliable data, resulting in higher uncertainties in more complex systems and requiring tools such as integrated modelling. In conclusion, the findings suggest that the SDGs, supplemented with existing tools, can be a starting point to identify issue linkages of strongly linked clusters. This lends itself to a piecemeal approach of addressing issue linkages rather than integration as a whole, which may prove to be more pragmatic in the shorter term.

Human settlements have progressed in a big way since the nomadic tribes and settlers of the river valley civilizations of about 5000 years back. Settlements in earlier times to be temporary in nature. People in those times used to settle at a place, practice hunting, gathering of food, shifting cultivation and once the resources of the area were not enough to meet their needs they moved to another area. This was known as temporary settlements. This pattern is greatly reduced in todays environment except for some tribes in the forests and hilly areas. People have now chosen to make their dwellings permanent. Human settlement refers to a collection of dwellings of various types and sizes where people live. The patterns of settlement differ from one location to the next. The smallest of settlements could be grouped together into villages, while the largest of cities could be grouped together into cities. Understanding the ancient environment, economy, and society by exploring the human-land relationship and the evolution of civilization reflected by the settlement environment is essential when studying the human settlement process. From the Palaeolithic through the Bronze Age (45 ka BP-2250 a BP), this study explores the natural and social environmental preferences of early human settlements in Xinjiang, China. The distribution of settlements may be accurately predicted to use the characteristics of settlement preferences, and the relationship between settlement preferences and the evolution of the environment and civilization could be validated.

This is not about the entire human race. It is purely about one woman and her education and her identity. This modern world is education and identity in equal shares as men in different societies of the world. Identity and education will help the people to become better civilians, and getting good pay, and at the same time they would have clarity between good and bad. It shows us the importance of hard work, and at the same time it helps an individual to grow. It helps in building of the better society to live in, to respect rights, court, and regulation.

This paper sheds light on miscarriages of justice, wrongful convictions, false confessions, police arrest and legal technicality. Whenever a person is arrested by the police, certain legal rules need to be followed. The 'suspect' should be treated as 'innocent until proven guilty'. However, in many countries, police do treat the suspect as 'guilty until proven innocent' which is highly objectionable. Moreover, there is also the issue of over-zealousness from the police which is a major contributing factor leading to miscarriages of justice. Another problem in the legal arena is that some very dangerous people prefer to act 'En Ame et Consciences' as far as the accountability of their actions and reactions is concerned, rather than as per the 'Rule of Law'.

Stress is a natural bodily response that protects the body from injury and danger. The body's production of stress hormones, on the other hand, may continue if the cause of the stress is not removed. Men and women are affected by stress in various ways. Biological or social factors may be to blame for the disparities in behaviour. Men and women respond to stress differently, as well as to the causes of stress and coping mechanisms for dealing with stress, according to this review research. Different people's stress levels and frequency of stress are also unique. When it comes to family and health issues, women are more likely than men to recognise them. On the other side, men are more concerned with interpersonal, financial, and work-related difficulties than women are. The fight-or-friend response is what most men take to conflict. As a result, women perceive their lives as more difficult and unpredictable than their male counterparts.

The high technological developments make English contact easier than ever. Students not only get English
contacts in the classroom but also outside the classroom like free-time activities that use English. With the exposure to
kinds of media, students get more varied and unique contacts with English. From this case, the different exposures of
English might influence students’ competencies in learning the language. Identifying these English contacts in their leisure
activities and the effects toward TOEFL scores were the objectives of this research. In other words, this research was
aimed to answer these research questions: (1) how often and what kinds of English contacts students majoring in English
had in leisure activities; and (2) the effects of English contacts to students’ TOEFL score. This research is in the form of
quantitative and descriptive statistic which includes 66 students as participants. Based on the study, the leisure activities
which students most frequently did were listening to music, reading e-mail, messages, or Internet web pages in English,
and writing social media caption, comments, or status update. It emphasized that technology had significant roles in
students’ society today. The result of this study also showed that higher exposures of English contacts had effects on the
students’ TOEFL scores. Meanwhile, instead of learning English in a classroom, students in this 21st century have more
access to gain information they want to improve four English skills.

Sacrifice is believed to be as old as the culture. Just like Hinduism, no one could trace back the origin. But it is
present everywhere; both in nature and culture. Nature has the infinite life cycle going on forever through the process of
substitution but all living species leave their progeny in this world. This progeny carries the energy of the past generation.
In this process, the most crucial point or truth that is fixed is the finiteness or death. This chain of substitution of finite
contributes to the infinite.
Sacrifice is a cultural feature of substitution as Wendy Doniger attempts to define it as, “the act of giving up
something in order to receive something of greater worth.” (207, On Hinduism). In this minimal definition, we see two
crucial elements: priority and hierarchy. Something has to be given up for the sake of something else that may or may not
be present in front of us. The desire to possess absent things is prioritized over the present or accessible possessions over
that which is present or accessible. It is the natural behavior of valuing the absent over the present that colors our priority.
The natural behavior of human beings tends to value the absent rather than the present. The whole cycle of life is a series
of giving up the present for a (probably) better future. The present comes to us a binary of the absent but the absent
presents a much more complex and incomplete study. Understanding the absent because it does not exist, it is an abstract
idea. Complex arouses the curiosity and vice-versa, thus succeeding in occupying the higher position in the binary
hierarchy.

Since Locke, empiricism has sought to deduce the knowledge of the world in one way or the other from sense
experience. The aim of this epistemology has been twofold; to justify and deduce the truth of nature from sensory evidence
and to define those truths in terms of observation and logical mathematical auxiliaries. The chief aim of which is to attain
absolute certainty in our knowledge of the world. However, Ouine observes that this attempt of normative or traditional
epistemology to provide a foundation of science has failed because all efforts of the empiricist philosophers have not been
productive. Quine concludes on this basis that traditional epistemology can never produce knowledge or criterion of
knowing. He therefore, calls for the abandonment of traditional epistemology on the basis that it cannot produce
knowledge. This paper examines his arguments for the claim that traditional epistemology is unproductive and can never
produce knowledge. The paper reveals that the call is untenable as his leap from "It has not" to ' 'it cannot" is unjustifiable.
The paper reveals further that it is the aim of traditional epistemology to justify science from sense experience and so far it
is in the business of doing this, one can say it is productive.

Studies confirm that developing leaders is how we build a strong community of individuals that can work together
to achieve goals. Nowadays, universities develop and implement mentoring programs in line with their goals of the
professional development of staff. Mentoring provides benefits for not only the mentees, but also for the mentors and the
university as a whole. Mentors are usually leaders in their fields and mentoring enhances a more collaborative atmosphere
in higher education and is a highly effective way to help the mentees to use the full range of their abilities. Teaching staff
mentoring has been recognized as an ever more important function within the area of human resources as it helps staff to
grow, develop and learn new skills from the guidance and direction of an expert.
Community gains a wide range of benefits through their productive interaction with universities. These includes
enhanced human and social capital development, accelerated economic growth, professional and intellectual
infrastructure in communities. Universities also benefit from effective engagement with their communities, as their
reputation can be significantly improved through effective engagement.
Therefore, in this paper, we have used a comprehensive approach to reflect our experience in higher education
for more than three decades in terms of mentoring and development of others and leading community engagement. The
significance of this paper can be recognized through concentrating on the important roles of both mentoring and
community engagement in Higher Education.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of good classroom conditions on the academic
achievement of secondary school students in Edo State of Nigeria. To accomplish this objective, one research question and
one hypothesis were formulated and investigated in the study. The study employed the quasi-experimental design.
Participant from three public secondary schools in the Edo Central senatorial district comprising 450 S.S 11 students were
used for the study. 20 test items in mathematics and English language was the instrument used in the study to pre-test the
participants. All the participant were exposed to teaching in English language and Mathematics from their scheme of work
for six weeks and tested before being moved to different classroom conditions to be taught for another six weeks in the
same subjects. Participants thereafter were post- tested to know the effect of classroom conditions on each group of
participants. The result of the study revealed that good classroom conditions enhance the academic achievement of
students. Based this finding, it is recommended that students should be taught under good classroom conditions to
enhance their academic achievement.

Summary
Dirofilariasis belongs to the group of parasitic vector-borne zoo-noses. These systemic helmintiases have been
widespread distributed in the world, with over 50 million registered cases. Two main filarial species (spp.) have adapted to
canine, feline and human hosts: Dirofilaria repens and Dirofilaria immitis. Human dirofiariases caused inflammatory
changes in lymph nodes, lung, irregular and prolonged fever. Different species of infected animals and humans are
reservoirs of microfilariae, for blood-sucking arthropod (mosquitoes, flies, ticks). In the vector phase (6 – 10 days),
through the process of metamorphosis microfilariae become invasive. In the next phases, feeding arthropods are donors of
the microfilariae to sensitive individuals of the humans. The geographical distribution and infectiveness of these vectorborne
parasites undergone modifications influenced by global environment and climate changes. Mediterranean area is an
endemic region for filarial diseases. Montenegro is a small country in the Balkan region. First three cases of
autochthonous dirofilariasis were registered in 2014 / 2015. In Montenegro, there are not data of dirofilariasis in
veterinary pathology. In our cases, identification of causes based on surgical extirpation of granulomas and
morphologically identification the worms has been performed in three cases.

Summary
During the 1980s the first cases of leishmaniasis/HIV co-infection have been registered in the world. In coinfection
it is registered the negative effect of the participants: patients infected with HIV are particularly sensitive to
leishmaniasis, and leishmaniasis itself accelerates replication of HIV and its progression into AIDS. In Montenegro, coinfection
visceral leishmaniasis VL/HIV was diagnosed for the first time during 1914/15 in 5 cases (within a total
population of 640,000 inhabitants). For the purpose of examinations, there were used epidemiological, clinical,
hematological, pathological and serological methods (IIF, ELISA), PCR, Ultrasound and x-ray diagnostics.
In patients with co-infections VL / HIV, clinical characteristics were presented difficult-generalized infective
syndrome in all the patients − 100%, with enlarged spleen in 87%, with pancitopenia in 55%, icterus in 37%. Respiratory
syndrome – pneumonia in all the cases, and in 2 cases neurological syndromes were registered.
An analysis of HIV infection in patients with co-infection has shown the reduction of the number of CD4 Tlymphocytes
to the level below ˂200 mm3 in 3 cases and in 2 cases ˂90 mm3.
Analysis of the effects of classical therapy (Glucantime, Miltefosine) in combination with HART has shown its
failure because recidives VL was registered in all 5 treated cases. The further treatment of this cases with HART and
Amfotericine B (AMb), present good results. After a year of their monitoring, there were not registered recidives or disease
progression, non-resistance to the applied medicine. It is though necessary to emphasize that a long-term monitoring of
these patients is required in order to obtain valid conclusions.

Sacred groves are the pockets of almost climax vegetation. Preserved on religious grounds. They are located in
the remote tribal areas. There are many plants grown near the temples, which are regarded as the sacred plants by
different ethnic groups of the country. Sacred groves are not only the sacred ecosystems functioning as a rich repository of
nature’s unique biodiversity but also a product of the socio- ecological philosophy that our forefathers have been
cherishing since days. In India, from time immemorial, the concept of conservation of nature has been carefully woven into
the various religious beliefs and customs. Tribal folklore is rich in Magico-religious beliefs and taboos. Sacred groves are
ancient natural sanctuaries that have supported the growth of several interesting and rare species of flora and fauna of the

coasts, which are difficult to distinguish coastal marks, and the inability to cope with the dangers caused by polar nature,
And the movement of shipping in the high latitude area is relatively small, and the main reason can be found in the lack of
population and the lack of major ports in this area, and the inability to use certain methods because of the ice covering
large areas. However, significant changes have occurred in the past few years, and these changes have resulted in a new
role in the Polar Regions in terms of the new major routes of commercial vessels, especially in the Arctic, which will save
time and expenditure.
These changes have occurred as a result of a number of reasons, including the increased exploitation of mineral
resources in Polar Regions, the development of tourism, etc., including the development of new technologies that enable us
to use them. All this encourages global warming and the accompanying melting of ice. Specifically, thawing has opened the
possibility of using new ship routes, which today represent entirely new challenges for the global shipping industry. And the
opening of the Arctic route as an alternative route for the transport of goods between the Far East and Europe. It seems
that shipping companies are very likely to use these roads because of the enormous fuel consumption, fuel cost, operating
cost, emissions and time of the cruise. This transformation will not only affect the maritime business activity in the Suez
Canal but will also affect the Egyptian economy in many respects as the number of vessels passing through the Suez Canal
and the Indian Ocean decreases.

This paper is related to the application of finite element analysis to designing a plastic product particular a rim
for unitary wheel used with Ground Service Support Equipment such as trolleys, container dollies, luggage trailers. The
workwas carried out paying special attention to the optimization of the wheel structural architecture for load bearing
capability.
Modeling and simulation work was carried out by considering thermoplastic material namely polyamide 6 filled
with 30% short glass fibers. The selection of plastic material was based on several factors, including mechanical strength
under static and dynamic load, resistance to prolonged action of elevated temperatures, cost and ability to be molded with
conventional techniques.
A plastic model of the steel rim was developed based on general plastic product design standards. The model was
simulated in order to identify areas of possible potential failure. After that model was optimized by changing and rearranging
its structural elements for further reduction of stresses in the identified potential failure areas. Final
modification of the proposed model was carried out for product mold ability to ensure its manufacture with conventional
molding technique. The finite element analysis showed that the stresses generated in the optimized model components were
well below the actual yield stress of the plastic. The destructive load ofthe plastic wheel model estimated under static
radial load condition with finite element analysis agreed well with the results obtained by physical testing the molded
prototype samples under the same loading conditions. This fact affirmed suitability of the Solidwork design and Simulation
packages for plastic part design. The application of this techniques lead to the reduction of prolonged product
implementation period and significant cost saving due to reduced reproduction number of prototypes to bemade for
evaluation of the product suitability, thereby making design successful and efficient.

The study examines the impact of tax reforms on the living standard of Nigerians. The data used for the study
were sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria Statistical Bulletins and analyzed using the Ordinary Least Square
Multiple Regression estimation techniques, the Johansen Co-integration technique, the Granger Causality test, and the
Error Correction Model. The Error Correction Model outcome reveals that despite the reforms and the variations in all
tax receipts between 1981 and 2016, only Company income Tax, Personal Income Tax and Value Added Tax significantly
impacted on Nigerians’ standard of living level (proxied by the Per Capita Income) in the long run which shows that the
main reason for tax revenue in spurring standard of living to a reasonable extent has been achieved, while no significant
relationship exists between tax revenues and unemployment rate in Nigeria. There is a need for the reduction in tax burden
in order to raise the economic standard of living in Nigeria. There is a negative relationship between tax reforms
(using Petroleum Profit Tax) and living standard. To ensure proper communication to the general public by setting up a
separate body for the inspection and maintenance of the funds to ensure they are disbursed to the various level of
government that fails to utilize such taxes should be fully booked and charged to court. We conclude that the against
apriori expectations that more tax reforms, aimed at generating more revenue and large-scale economic growth, does not
depress living standard.

A blockchain system is a new form of data management. Its working consists in creating ”blocks” of data that
record every bitcoin activities that have been done from the launch of bitcoin. This systems ensure traceability and security
of every transaction, making any hacking attempt impossible. Calculating every new “block” requires a huge amount of
processing resources, and so it is the role of the “mining” system. The mining system is the system in charge of generating
the blockchain’s blocks, and at the same time creating (mining) new units of bitcoin. Bitcoin is limited in its amount with a
maximum of 21 million units, that are progressively released in its system through mining and estimated being all released
by 2033. The process idea is the following: some bitcoin users are also bitcoin miners: they allocated their
computers/servers to feed the processing system of block-chain that is creating the blocks. In exchange for furnishing their
personal devices’ processing capacities, the miners get a reward in bitcoin that is added to their personal bitcoin wallet.
This system provides to the Bitcoin system boththe required processing resources to aliment blockchain and the
progressive production (or release) of bitcoin units. The present paper gives an overview of cryptography enabled
financial products like crypto-currencies, Bitcoin and the Blockchain system for its accounting

Modern High Performance Computers (HPC) data centers are the key to solving some of the world’s most important
scientific and engineering challenges. NVidia Tesla V100 GPU accelerated computing platform powers these data centers,
with industry leading applications to accelerate HPC and AI workloads.[8] The features of the V100 GPU are,
· New Streaming Multiprocessor (SM) Architecture optimized for deep learning.
· NVidiaNVLink fabric.
· 150 Teraflop per second.
· 640 Tensor cores.
· Paired NVidia CUDA and Tensor cores to deliver high performance.
The main objective of this paper is to study NVidiaNVLink fabric and Tensor cores, which are used for transfer of
data from CPU and GPU, and Streaming Multiprocessors Architecture optimization for deep learning.
The rapid growth in deep learning workloads has driven the need for a faster and more scalable interconnect, as
PCIe bandwidth increasingly becomes the bottleneck at the multi-GPU system level. NVidiaNVLink technology addresses
the interconnect issues by providing higher bandwidth, more links and improvises stability for multi- GPU and multi GPUCPU
system configurations. A single NVidia tesla V100 GPU supports up to 6 NVLink connections with a total bandwidth
of 300GB/sec, which is 10x the bandwidth of PCIe gen 3.[11]

This project is designed to guide a visually impaired person to walk and avoid bumping into obstacles. Low-cost
ultrasonic rangefinders along with a microcontroller are used to measure the distance to obstacles and if they are close
enough to provide feedback to the user in form of beeps or vibrations.
The project is made on a small single layer PCB. It is a portable project which is mounted on a metal plate such
that it can be fixed on any belt type structure. The sensors are not mounted on the PCB but they are mounted in the front
of the plate and connected to the main board using wires. It’s designed exactly like a mobile carrying case used on belts.

Height limitations are not uncommon in multi-storey buildings due to economic requirements and
esthetical considerations. Substantial spaces are normally required to enable the passage of large pipes and
ducts beneath RC beams leading to uneconomic floor heights. The most adopted solution for this issue is the
use of RC beam with openings to provide the required space for services. These openings could lead to a
significant decrease in the beam load carrying capacity depending on the adopted openings shape, and
location. These aspects motivated the present study based on FE simulations calibrated against numerical
results. In this study, a solid RC beam, beam with a circular hole and beam with a square hole, totally 3 beams
were considered. The modeling & analysis is carried by using ANSYS software. The models are compared for
their flexural strength to find out the best suitable shape of the opening and also the optimum position of the
opening.
An study shows that the beam with a circular opening having more flexural strength than a beam with a square
opening. This is because of smooth stress flow around the circular opening and stress flow lines at sharp edges of the
square opening are crowded, leads to an increase in stress concentration and decrease in flexure strength. The opening
should be placed nearer to the supports to have the more flexural strength than at the middle of the beam. The flexural
strength of a beam with a circular opening is same as that of the solid beam if we increase the depth of beam by 6%.

Banking is a demand-driven industry due to different preferences such as providing financial services to
customers. Internet should be taken into account as an important issue for banks to delivery financial services. The internet
is the ideal medium for carrying out banking activities due to its cost savings potential and speed of information
transmission. From a technological and cost-driven standpoint, it may seem quite logical for banks to shift as many
banking activities online as possible. At the same time, the question of how to foster customer loyalty arises when the
relationship between the bank and the user becomes a virtual one. As it is completely necessary to perform a research
studying the quality of services dimension in e-banking and measuring its effects on the customers’ satisfaction and loyalty,
and also lack of examinations previously in this area despite the importance and steady growth of e-banking services in Sri
Lanka, negligible research attention has been given to the interactions among e-banking service quality dimension, ecustomer
satisfaction, e-loyalty,& personal factors in the Northern Province of SriLanka by using survey data and
conceptual model. Quantitative methodology was conducted and Questionnaires were distributed to the internet banking
users using Random Sampling procedure. A survey of 305 e-banking users of 7 selected banks in Northern Province of
SriLanka has been conducted and a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach by employing Smart PLS3 of statistical
data analysis technique has been used to gain what are the interactions among e-service qualities, e-customer satisfaction,
and e-loyalty and customer’s personal factors can be ensured. Based on the result of analysis it can be concluded that
there is a positive interaction among e-service qualities, e-customer satisfaction, and e-loyalty and also additionally there
is a moderating effect by personal factors such as age, education and personal experience & knowledge are impacted the
above interactions. According to the model content, e-convenience are considered more importance by revealing that
customer relies on acquiring the exact service offered (time, accuracy, customization and convenience) and how the bank
is handling customer problems. Also, customers depend on e-responses which mean providing the proper assistance and
attaining customer needs & remedial actions. Finally, e-trust as security measures concerns over the adoption and online
banking transaction is considered important when fighting against the hackers and vulnerabilities in dealing with online
banking.

In today's contemporary society ageing is the most emerging demographic phenomenon. Asia has the largest number of the world's elderly 53% followed by Europe 25%. In 2050, 82% of the world's elderly will be in developing regions of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean while only 16% of them will reside in the developed regions of Europe and North America. Ageing is therefore rapidly emerging as the problem of developing countries particularly in Kashmir. In traditional Kashmiri society, the informal support systems of the family, kinship and the community are considered strong enough to provide social security to its members; including older people. Urbanization, industrialization and ongoing phenomenon of globalization have cast their shadow on traditional values and norms within the society. The many psychological, emotional problems of elderly influence the social functioning and well-being of individuals in different ways. This is evident from the various studies carried out in the area of sociology by various scholars throughout the world. The study has been carried out in Kashmir context and aimed to trace the various problems of elderly people in Kashmir. This paper attempts to examine the impact of conflict/turmoil on elderly in Kashmir and the socio-psychological problems of elderly in Kashmir. The paper is based on secondary sources of data and other relevant literature wherever necessary. The statement will also be supplanted by participant observation of the authors.

One form of the DPR's oversight function is to have the authority to select public officials at an independent state commission, including the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The purpose of this study is first, to examine the authority of the DPR in selecting KPK leaders. Second, analyzing the impact of the DPR's authority to select KPK leaders. Third, the ideal reconstruction ME DPR authority in the selection of the KPK leadership election based Progressive Law. The type of research used in this study is empirical legal research and the data sources used include primary data and secondary data. The nature of this research is descriptive and prescriptive. The results of the study found that the implementation of the DPR's authority brought potential positive and negative impacts. The negative impact of the DPR's authority has the potential to influence the independence of the KPK, encouraging the emergence of deals, agreements and commitment s which has the potential to weaken the eradication of corruption, and because the DPR is a political institution, political considerations are an important factor compared to integrity and competence in determining the choice of who will be elected as KPK Leader. For this reason, it is necessary to reconstruct the Law on the Corruption Eradication Commission, which contains the authority of the DPR to carry out the election selection. The KPK leadership is channeled through the involvement of the DPR elements in the selection committee of the KPK Leaders who are independent and formed by the Government.

This study focused on academic teaching staff effectiveness in mainstreaming disability interventions for students with special needs in public universities in Kenya; a case of the University of Nairobi. University of Nairobi (UoN), like most public universities, has a disability mainstreaming policy, as a requirement and a performance indicator of the Government of Kenya, in accordance with Kenya's Persons with Disability Act (2003) and UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2007), where all Government institutions are required to mainstream disability in their functions and operations. Thus, the university, UoN admits students with varying special needs. This study aimed at investigating how the academic teaching staff has been sensitized and in-serviced in knowledge, skills, and attitudes that can enable them to interact effectively with students living with disabilities in the teaching-learning process. The question is, how many of the professionally trained teaching staff is acquainted with skills, and knowledge of handling and interacting with students living with different types of disability in public universities? The objectives of the study focused on examining the awareness level of academic staff on disability policy interventions, teaching strategies applied by academic teaching staff, utilization of resources and assessment procedures in lessons where there were students with disabilities. The findings of this study were meant to inform university disability policy and practice, identify gaps in the implementation of disability interventions for students with disability and identify further opportunities and practice in-servicing of academic teaching staff in knowledge, skills, and attitudes in handling students living with different disabilities. A case study design was employed, and the study targeted undergraduate and postgraduate students with disabilities. The questionnaire, interview schedule, focus group discussions, observation, and document analysis guide were key tools for data collection. A sample size of 250 academic staff members and 800 students was drawn from the target population of 68,000 students, 2,500 academic staff, and 5,400 administrative and technical staff respectively. Stratified random sampling was employed where students were divided into two strata; those with a disability and those without a disability. All those with a disability were purposively selected for the study and those without a disability a 50% rule was applied.

Employee motivation is considered the key driver of employee turnover and business success. Employee turnover, particularly voluntary employee turnover, has always been a challenge that organisations do not wish to face, because of the adverse effects it has on an organisation's growth and performance. The purpose of this research was to evaluate management styles and their impact on employee motivation and ultimately employee turnover at, a consulting firm in South Africa. The research used a qualitative research methodology approach. The total population of 60 employees was narrowed down to a sample size of 10 participants. The study revealed that the major reasons for employee demonization were lack of respect, non-flexible working hours, lack of communication between management and employees, lack of training programmes, no fringe benefits and flawed human resources policies. These factors ultimately led to the high employee turnover rate at the company. The study recommended that the management needs to reassess their management style and look at the causes of the employee demonization and consider employee needs such as fringe benefits, training programmes and assistance with study loans. The human resources policies need to be reexamined and managers should receive training on how to implement current motivation theories relevant in today's world. It was therefore apparent that management style had a huge influence on employee motivation at the company.

Nursing is popularly viewed as a profession for people who are motivated by altruism and the desire to support people who suffer from illness. When nursing viewed in this manner, being a nurse is primarily concerned with providing better assistance and positive relationships with the patients. The goals of this study are to investigate medical discourse in nurse-patient interactions examining the pragmatic and linguistic aspects particular to that discourse. This paper, which is a case study of the two Saudi students who are doing their practical training in nursing at a hospital in Saudi Arabia describes the linguistic features of the spoken language that occurred between the nurse and the patient in medical interaction. The main findings are to explain how the nurses provide comfort, support and assistance to the patients using spoken language. As the nurses take part in the social practices concerned with doing their job, they construct a relationship with the patient, which goes beyond strictly medical interaction, to include friendlier and more supportive discourse. The study of medical interaction between the nurse and the patient seeks to reveal the linguistic devices being used by both speakers as well as the aspect of comfort talk being used by the nurses to express different social meaning and communicative purposes.

Evaluation of the mechanism of action of Garcinia kola (Bitter kola) as an ant diabetic. Diabetes mellitus is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States and it is now a worldwide epidemic. Currently available drugs are expensive and have side effects that can compromise compliance in patients. There is an urgent need to introduce drugs that are effective and that have less troublesome side effects. The objective of this study was to examine the antidiabetic activity and mechanism of action of Garcinia kola seed used traditionally to treat diabetes. Garcinia kola was evaluated for its ability to inhibit alpha-glucosidase as a possible mechanism of action. In vitro method was used and alpha-glucosidase from two sources, Bacillus stearothermophilus, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae were used. The alpha-glucosidase was exposed to different concentrations of aqueous extracts of Garcinia kola (bitter kola). Our results indicate that Garcinia kola inhibited alpha-glucosidase from the two sources, an indication that it acts like acarbose (that is already marketed for the treatment of diabetes) and may be useful in treating hyperglycemia.

The need for improved performance of the huge investment in industrial plant particularly electrical generating machinery in recent times necessitates the application of condition monitoring techniques in its maintenance. This can provide early warning of potential failure with the opportunity of organizing avoidance strategies to minimize lost in time and unexpected costs. This may greatly improve generation and production efficiency. This paper presents a methodology, which is useful in preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PDM) when applied to Afam Thermal Power Station in the Rivers State of Nigeria. This has lead to some proactive approach to maintenance because the action is triggered by the unscheduled event of equipment failure. With this kind of maintenance policy, the maintenance cost is high due to equipment operating under crises condition, secondary drainages and penalty associated with cost production. It shows a paradigm shift of knowing when things are starting to fail and how to prevent failure. Hence two failure perspectives are in focus-functionally and component failures. The functional perspective expresses what the component does, the component perspective shows how it deteriorates.

In this paper, we present a new dynamic road traffic routing algorithm, for enhanced clearing out of traffic from congested areas of the traffic network. The main objective of designing this algorithm is to implement a system that optimizes the rate of flow of traffic throughout the road network by minimizing traffic congestion rates. By cross-correlation analysis the system analyzes the relation between lanes, in particular, the rate of flow of traffic between lanes. It is used to compute the Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), which in this context estimates the amount of time a fleet of traffic takes to travel from one intersection to the next. These time estimates are then used together with traffic counts at each intersection, and traffic weights which depict traffic flow patterns between lanes, to compute link scores and path scores for each road link and path, respectively. These scores are then presented as a network model based on the concerned road part of the road network. After all this, the algorithm uses this network model to compute an optimized sequential opening of the traffic lights in within that particular area. This algorithm is a dynamic model that mimics the operation of a police officer who controls traffic flow at road intersections during bad traffic congestion, the practice which is common here in Botswana and other third world countries.

The objective of every electrical power producer is to meet its customers' supply demands at a reasonable cost. Therefore plants and equipment in these stations must have availability, reliability and predictability life-cycle cost (LCC). Due to maintenance problems and poor supportive systems, Nigeria electric power generating stations are not able to meet their customers' requirements; these are the major causes of customers' dissatisfaction in power supply requirements. Often it is traced back to expected failures leading to unexpected losses and costs. However, with proper consideration of reliability, availability, maintainability, and supportability (RAMS) in maintenance systems decision policies, the number of failures can be reduced and their consequences minimized. Based on experiences of the industrialized countries, an approach for integration of RAMS and risks analysis in maintenance system can be developed as a guide for appropriate maintenance policies. This paper discusses the importance of failure mode effect analysis (FMEA). Failure mode effect criticality analysis (FMECA), LCC analysis, use of feedback information, supportive systems risk analysis, with the integration of various information sources to facilitate easy RAMS implementation in maintenance decision policies. This approach is suggested for implementation in Afam electric power station for the maintenance decision policies as a management control to reduce risk and uncontain costs.

The objective of this research is to develop an innovative design strategy capable of handling the temperature variations in the asphalt concrete layers. This strategy handles weak soils specific to Pennsylvania using a wide variety of variables consisting of standard deviations, traffic, MR, Delta PSI, surface course, base course. and subbase materials. For all designs, the surface course, and the base course contain minimum thicknesses as a function of traffic. The efficacy of expansive soil-limestone as subbase material was evaluated by designing and estimating flexible pavement thicknesses. The modified strength coefficients were used for designing the pavement sections in Pennsylvania. Based on this paper, it can be concluded that the subbase thickness has (i) a linear relationship with the structural number, and (ii) a nonlinear relationship with the change in serviceability index and the resilient modulus. In this innovative design strategy, the effect of temperature is built into the structural number. This is achieved by appropriately modifying the strength coefficient for the asphalt concrete layer.

Present work is an optimized lipolytic activity of sonicated defatted Prunus Avium seed lipases. The characterization and the stability of P. avium lipase were assayed at incremental steps of pH and temperature. Comparison of fat liberation potential of the Lipases treated and untreated poultry wastewater and mutton fat showed the importance of Avium lipase towards fat hydrolysis. A 300W sonicated waves in 30 minutes made meal clear for enzyme extraction by removing all interference of seeds fat, evidenced by the images of scanning electron microscope.10 % olive oil emulsion ; a substrate, one-hour incubation time and 4000rpm agitation speed were the optimal variables for extraction of enzyme amongst the 9 runs of experiments suggested by orthogonal L9 array design. Substrate concentration was found the actual contributor to facilitating the lipase for complete hydrolysis. A 43.19%contribution (ANOVA result) of olive oil: substrate was found responsible for maximum lipolytic activity (1.52µU) of Avium lipase at pH 6 and 40 0 C.Best stability of lipase was observed in n-heptane. A release of 6 times more poultry wastewater fat as compared to acid hydrolysis was the successful application of P. avium after 180minutes of the incubation period. Degradation of lipids as increase the %age of monounsaturated acid as compared to polyunsaturated acid (GLC analysis) speculating that P. avium enzyme can be utilized in oil/ fat, detergent and wastewater industry due to fat degradation property.

Microalgae require a wide range of chemical and physical factors for their growth, proliferation, and differentiation. These factors affect the morphology, physiology and metabolic activities of the organism. Therefore, in the present investigation, lipid producing microalgae were isolated and identified, abiotic growth factors such as different autotropic media, pH, nutrients, and media optimization studies were carried out to obtain highest biomass and lipid from microalgae which have the potential for effective biodiesel production. Growth studies were carried out of the isolated algal strains, the optimum temperature for all the experiments was kept at 25 ± 1 o C and light intensity of 1.2 ± 0.2 klux was maintained. Four strains with highest percentage wise Biomass : Lipid ratio were considered for studies, these strains are Chlorella vulgaris AS-3, Chlorella pyrenoidosa AS-6, Scenedesmus dimorphus AS-13, all 3 strains were isolated from unkal lake and Scenedesmus quadricauda AS-18 was isolated from Rayanaal lake. Out of the four isolated strains Chlorella vulgaris (AS-3) showed a significant increase in lipid content by 3 %. The organism was found to grow well in the optimized BG-11 media with the pH of 6.5 and culture age of 6 weeks and concentration of sodium nitrate, FAC, potassium bicarbonate and magnesium sulphate of 2, 0.24, 0.3 and 0.8 g/L respectively. The data obtained by the by the above growth studies can be used for mass culturing of the organism in invivo conditions in open ponds and furthers studies can be done using different media compositions. Hence, AS-3 was found to be an ideal candidate for biodiesel production and further characterization of the microalgae was carried out.

The globalisation of international trade has significantly changed the world economy and increased mobility, thus considerably affecting maritime transport and liner shipping in particular. This paper assesses and analyses the level of the container ports in the East-West trade route for the period between 2001 and 2016. In doing so, Concentration Ratio analysis, Hirschman-Herfindahl index technique, and Shift Share analysis were used. The analysis of the market reveals a tendency towards deconcentration and increased competition among ports in the market in the period of study. Accordingly, the market can be segmented into two main categories, the present hub ports, and the potential hubs. The ports of the first category have a competitive advantage in their strategic location, while those of the second category are trying to utilize their resources more effectively in order to enhance their competitive position and increase their market share.

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa the great saint or rather a prophet gifted to the nation. A universal religion, that is the religion of oneness and tolerance, which is accepted by the people even today. To quote the words of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, " Greeting to the feet of jnani! Greeting to the feet of the bhaktha! Greeting to the devotee who believe in the formless God! Greeting to those who believes in the formless God! Greeting to those who believe in God with form! Greeting to men old who knew Brahman! Greeting to the modern knower of truth! " These words show that he accepted one and all, irrespective of caste, creed, status and wealth, alike. His heart and mind were open to receive all kinds of material and spiritual philosophies. He lived only for fifty years but had the spiritual experiences and attainments of five thousand years. His life is itself an open book filled with truthful and be seen that Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa began from just as any other ordinary devotional experiences. When compared with other Indian thinkers, it can man, but his spiritual fame grew and spread its wings to the whole world.

Tamarind powder was obtained by tray-drying of juice squeezed from tamarind pulp by using drying aid mixture. Popular drying aid namely Gum Arabic (AG) was added to tamarind pulp (20 °brix) at 1:10; 1:7.5; 1:6 ratios. The mixture was dried in a tray dryer at drying temperatures of 80, 90, and 100 °C till powder obtained. The results indicated that the optimal drying temperature for drying tamarind pulp powder is 100 °C with gum arabic. The yield of tamarind pulp powder was best at 100 °C. The physicochemical and sensory scores indicated that samples with ratios 1:7.5 at 90 °Cand 100 °C were revealed as best samples.

Background
As dimensions of malnutrition have a complex association with social Status. Nutritional status of an individual
also depicts of quality of life. Malnutrition among the low-wage workers causes a direct impact on economic growth and
development as a healthy workforce to create a healthy nation with a strong economy. Objectives: To assess the social and
nutritional status of salt cultivators (Agariyas) engaged in organized salt works. Study Design: Advance mixed method of
study (both qualitative and quantitative). Study Setting and Target Population: Salt cultivator working as the contractual
workforce in organized salt industries in Bhavnagar, Gujarat for more than one year in salt works. Subjects/Methods:
Field research had an integrated approach where qualitative data comprises in-depth interview, observation, audio, and
video recording and focus group discussion (FGDs). For the quantitative aspect of the study pre-tested standard modified
questionnaire tested as per the local region setting having both structured and the semi-structured questionnaire. Socioeconomic
and demographic profile, Health Symptoms, Nutritional assessment (Height, weight, Mid Upper Arm
Circumference-MUAC, Basal Metabolic Index-BMI and Waist and Hip Ratio-WHR) was recorded. Hemoglobin was
analyzed using digital hemoglobin analyzer. Field Survey was conducted in semi-urban villages located near Bhavnagar
city of Gujarat during the beginning phase of salt cultivation season. Results: Total 166 salt cultivators participated in the
field survey and research, of which 102 were male and 64 were female. The research found the about 24.1% ofsalt workers
are under-weight/ Chronic Energy Deficiency Category I & II. While small proportion (1.2%) of salt cultivators was
severely underweight/ Chronic Energy Deficiency Category III. Mid-Upper Arm Circumference of the salt cultivators was
24±3 cm. The mean hemoglobin of the salt cultivators in the present study was 10.7± 2.0 g/dl. In focus group discussion
and in-depth interview, other information regarding their health hygiene and sanitation were recorded.
Conclusions
Prevalence of under-nutrition and underweight high among the low wage salt cultivators. Both male and female
salt workers have low mean hemoglobin level (lower than the standard level). Poor and monotonous diet, low income,
poor housing, migration, lack of education, poor hygiene and sanitation make them more vulnerable. Integrated and
comprehensive social security policy is obligatory for nutritional and social insurance for the salt cultivators and their
families.

In this paper, we are investigating the clustering behavior of end-grafted polystyrene chains with zwitterionic end groups. Our model system offers a unique direct look to the case of clustering behavior upon the change of solvent conditions of semi-irreversibly end-grafted chains. We measured three different types of PS chains with different architecture: one, two and three end groups. We aimed to find whether these end groups are affecting the layer of the adsorbed polymeric layer as well as the distance between two anchoring points and thus the thickness of the adsorbed polymeric layer. We measured both dry and liquid phases. In liquid phase, we used measurements depicted from SFA technique while in the dry condition we used AFM measuring mainly the formed clusters after drying. AFM allows the direct observation of clustering behavior, while AFM images analysis allows the measurement of the statistical distributions and averages of the individual sizes (laterally and vertically with respect to the substrate surface) of the aggregates and their separation distances. The results are rationalised in terms of the competition between adsorption energy of end groups and clustering/aggregation behavior of chains and shows the same behavior either by SFA and AFM techniques, presenting neither significant increase in the adsorbed amount nor significant changes in the layer thickness.

The Analytic Hierarchy Process is used for port selection, along the East-West trade route from the perspective of a shipping company. Six criteria and eight ports are identified. The hierarchy of the problem is constructed and pair-wise comparisons of the elements of each level are made using a nine-point Likert scale. A questionnaire was designed to suit to a newly proposed Analytic Hierarchy Process procedure which contributed to reducing the number of pairwise comparisons and establishing perfect consistency of all matrices. The current results show that cargo volume and port infrastructure are the most important criteria, thus reflecting the dynamic nature of the container shipping market and addressing the need for continuous monitoring of the changes that take place and for corresponding flexible port management plans capable of accommodating the consequences of such changes in order to keep their market share. Based on these criteria the ports were ranked.

Pulpectomy of the primary tooth is indicated when the radicular pulp is necrotic and the tooth needs to maintain the arch length and integrity. This study aims to access the knowledge, awareness and experience of specialized dentists through a validated questionnaire related to various obturating materials and their antimicrobial properties, toxicity and biocompatibility with the surrounding tissues. The success of obturating material depends upon complexity of tooth canal system, formation and resorbtion of the primary tooth root, the obturating material and technique used to provide a tight seal from the apical segment and cavo surface margin to prevent reinfection. 53 % of the post graduate dentists were aware that overobturation with zinc oxide eugenol remnants cause anterior crossbite, palatal eruption and ectopic eruption of the succeedeneous teeth.
