Mr Charles A. Castro is the head of quality assurance and lecturer at ICD (International College Dublin) Business School. He lectures on a variety of topics related to marketing and business. Additionally, Mr Castro holds a Master of Science in Marketing from the University of Bari Aldo Moro in Italy (2020), a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from the University of Limerick in Ireland (2015) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Managerial Processes from the Newton Paiva University in Brazil (2013). He has been awarded important scholarships, such as the Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship (2021), TU Dublin Funding Programme for Graduate Research (2020), Scholarship by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Italy (2018), Scholarship by the Poggiolevante Collegio Universitario di Merito – IPE in Italy (2018) and Scholarship by Kemmy Business School – University of Limerick (2015). To address this main objective, this study aimed to answer the following research question: Who are the five preferred influencers that this young sample follows and what are their motives for following them? To answer this research question, this study analyzed two free-answer questions that were part of a longer questionnaire via thematic analysis using NVivo. This study's sample population comprised 81 participants between 16 and 26 years old, part of the Generation Z cohort and living in Ireland. The results of the analysis indicated five main motives that make this young sample follow their preferred social media influencers. Os seis fatores de personalidade HEXACO, ou dimensões, incluem Honestidade-Humildade (H), Emocionalidade (E), Extroversão (X), Amabilidade (A), Conscienciosidade (C) e Abertura à Experiência (O). Nesta pesquisa, o grau de Satisfação com a Vida (ESV) foi a variável dependente. A população amostral deste estudo é representada por (N=343) participantes, nos quais a maioria dos sujeitos, 28,9%, possui entre 30 e 39 anos de idade, 32,7% são do sexo masculino, 67,1% do sexo feminino e 3% outros. The purpose of this article is to explore the impact of ChatGPT in higher education, covering both positive and negative nuances. A critical literature review analysis was conducted, which included references from reliable sources. The methodology used in this article was based on a critical literature review method. The results of the analysis indicate that ChatGPT might have several benefits in education, including improved student engagement, personalized learning experiences, and enhanced teaching practices. However, there are also some negative implications, such as concerns over privacy, academic integrity, and the potential for bias. Additionally, management considerations have been discussed such as “Fit Notes” and “Presenteeism”. As well as, a focus was placed on additional areas of concern within the U.S.A. in the form of bullying and harassment. Finally, was conducted a survey method within a class at the University of Limerick where 100% of the sample are workers. Divididas em 51 municípios-somando quase 14,5% do total de municípios do Estado de Minas Gerais-há anos vem se tornando um espaço marcado por diversas formas de exclusão social. Partindo da literatura que busca compreender de que forma as mudanças do papel do Estado Nacional após a década de 1990 condicionaram o direcionamento das políticas públicas, em especial, das políticas de transferência de renda, este trabalho procura buscar evidências das mudanças nos indicadores socioeconômicos dessa região. Drawing from the integrated areas of internal consultancy in marketing, advertising budget, and d... more Drawing from the integrated areas of internal consultancy in marketing, advertising budget, and digital marketing, this empirical research aims to examine the company Marcheluzzo`s off-line advertising budget focused on the Brazilian market to combine on-line advertising investments in a new expense budget plan for 2021. A comprehensive analysis of the literature review demonstrates the importance of digital marketing strategies in a B2B-(business-to-business) context within the Brazilian market, covering both their benefits and challenges. The literature review filled and discussed the gaps found, it was also analyzed the past and actual literature within the specific themes in this research. The data used in this research was gathered by a semi-structured one-to-one interview conducted personally with the Marcheluzzo`s marketing and commercial manager. In addition, through the field observation and documents collected in the company more information was possible to gather and have insights about a variety of subjects mainly related to the advertisement budget. It was possible to successfully answer the two main research questions being discussed using the data collected. It was found that Marcheluzzo has been interested in making investments in digital marketing, as well as, there is room for this investment in a new advertisement budget focused on the Brazilian market, combining online and offline marketing strategies.

Including also, the product idea/concept highlighting benefits and value for customers. Additionally, throughout the strategy is possible to perceive the leading figures of the market analysis, target market, positioning of the product, and the marketing mix strategy. This research was carried out by way of a literature review to support secondary data and facts. However, the main research method was carried out by a survey method and quantitative analysis. This is important to demonstrate, explain, validate, and evaluate the main finding in this research. Furthermore, the data analysis gave accuracy and validation to this research, as it presented many figures and facts collected through the survey. The main findings show a strong possibility to penetrate the brand Chiara Ferragni Collection within the Brazilian market.

Acco rding to the European statistics compiled in 2012, the average differential in pay between the genders was 16% (in favour of men). In light of this statistic, this article critically analyses the provisions effectiveness at European level for guaranteeing equal pay. This research was carried out through a literature review. This is important to demonstrate, explain, and evaluate the current existent literature about this specific theme covered in this article. Furthermore, the literature review gives accuracy and validation to this research. In conclusion, there is a discuss ion on the challenges faced by European legislation to reduce unequal wages. The main finding relies on the evidence that women still earn less than men, even working at the same job. However, women had an efficient development over discrimination, offering them women effective legis lation, although this factor explains only a little part of the pay gap.

Portanto, considera-se como estudo de caso a metodologia deste estudo. Após a consultoria realizada envolvendo coleta de dados, análises e diagnóstico, foi possível considerar como resultado que a organização tem intuito de ajudar verdadeiramente e integralmente os portadores de câncer que procuram suporte psicológico, financeiro, nutricional, alimentício e de tratamentos físicos. Concluindo, o contato com a ONG Beta proporcionou aos envolvidos conscientização sobre valorizar as pessoas que necessitam de suporte, sendo assim, mais do que um projeto de consultoria, mas um trabalho humanitário. Abstract This article aims to expose a consultancy project developed and implemented within a non-governmental organization (NGO) in the city of Belo Horizonte. The purpose of this project was to analyze an Organizational Consultancy implemented in the research observation unit (NGO). The consultancy service was offered voluntarily to specific sectors, such as Operations Management, Corporate Strategy, Marketing Strategy, General Management, and Financial Analysis. Hence, a strategic diagnosis was held by means of establishing action plans and using management tools. The specific objectives are related to identifying the problems presented by the organization's manager and applying selected methods of data collection, such as: interviews and questionnaires, data collection and information analysis in order to develop solutions; evaluation of the organizational and managerial climate; development of recommendations to be carried out; and presentation of benefits regarding possible changes. The case study approach was used in this research. After completing the consulting business process involving data collection, analysis, and diagnosis, as a result, it was found that this organization has aimed to help cancer patients truly and fully, by offering psychological and financial support, as well as nutritional and physical treatments. This article reviews and analyses factors impacting the evolution of the internet, the web, and s... more This article reviews and analyses factors impacting the evolution of the internet, the web, and social media channels, charting historic trends and highlight recent technological developments. The review comprised a deep search using electronic journal databases. Articles were chosen according to specific criteria with a group of 34 papers and books selected for complete reading and deep analysis. The 34 elements were analysed and processed using NVIVO 12 Pro, enabling the creation of dimensions and categories, codes and nodes, identifying the most frequent words, cluster analysis of the terms, and creating a word cloud based on each word's frequency. The review presents updated information about technological trends, marketing, and chronological elements regarding the evolution of the internet and social media.

This report outlines and discusses the insights on how to manage shot-term absenteeism within the... more This report outlines and discusses the insights on how to manage shot-term absenteeism within the workplace, as well as point out themes related to human resource management. Additionally, management considerations have been discussed such as “Fit Notes” and “Presenteeism”. As well as, a focus was placed on additional areas of concern within the U.S.A. in the form of bullying and harassment. Finally, was conducted a survey method within a class at the University of Limerick where 100% of the sample are workers. Therefore, the trends and patterns section outlined a Class Survey, methods for measuring absenteeism and triggers associated with the concept.

Divididas em 51 municípios-somando quase 14,5% do total de municípios do Estado de Minas Gerais-há anos vem se tornando um espaço marcado por diversas formas de exclusão social. Partindo da literatura que busca compreender de que forma as mudanças do papel do Estado Nacional após a década de 1990 condicionaram o direcionamento das políticas públicas, em especial, das políticas de transferência de renda, este trabalho procura buscar evidências das mudanças nos indicadores socioeconômicos dessa região. Drawing from the integrated areas of internal consultancy in marketing, advertising budget, and d... more Drawing from the integrated areas of internal consultancy in marketing, advertising budget, and digital marketing, this empirical research aims to examine the company Marcheluzzo`s off-line advertising budget focused on the Brazilian market to combine on-line advertising investments in a new expense budget plan for 2021. A comprehensive analysis of the literature review demonstrates the importance of digital marketing strategies in a B2B-(business-to-business) context within the Brazilian market, covering both their benefits and challenges. The literature review filled and discussed the gaps found, it was also analyzed the past and actual literature within the specific themes in this research. The data used in this research was gathered by a semi-structured one-to-one interview conducted personally with the Marcheluzzo`s marketing and commercial manager. In addition, through the field observation and documents collected in the company more information was possible to gather and have insights about a variety of subjects mainly related to the advertisement budget. It was possible to successfully answer the two main research questions being discussed using the data collected. It was found that Marcheluzzo has been interested in making investments in digital marketing, as well as, there is room for this investment in a new advertisement budget focused on the Brazilian market, combining online and offline marketing strategies.

In order to deliver a substantial result, this study gives the reader a brief description of the company and product, referring to the industry that it operates in, its market share, trends in, sales and market. Including also, the product idea/concept highlighting benefits and value for customers. Additionally, throughout the strategy is possible to perceive the leading figures of the market analysis, target market, positioning of the product, and the marketing mix strategy. This research was carried out by way of a literature review to support secondary data and facts. However, the main research method was carried out by a survey method and quantitative analysis. This is important to demonstrate, explain, validate, and evaluate the main finding in this research. Furthermore, the data analysis gave accuracy and validation to this research, as it presented many figures and facts collected through the survey. The main findings show a strong possibility to penetrate the brand Chiara Ferragni Collection within the Brazilian market.

Acco rding to the European statistics compiled in 2012, the average differential in pay between the genders was 16% (in favour of men). In light of this statistic, this article critically analyses the provisions effectiveness at European level for guaranteeing equal pay. This research was carried out through a literature review. This is important to demonstrate, explain, and evaluate the current existent literature about this specific theme covered in this article. Furthermore, the literature review gives accuracy and validation to this research. In conclusion, there is a discuss ion on the challenges faced by European legislation to reduce unequal wages. The main finding relies on the evidence that women still earn less than men, even working at the same job. However, women had an efficient development over discrimination, offering them women effective legis lation, although this factor explains only a little part of the pay gap.

A consultoria em questão foi oferecida de forma voluntária com foco em setores específicos, como a Administração de Operações, Estratégia Empresarial, Gestão Estratégica de Marketing e Orçamento Empresarial. Assim, foi elaborado um diagnóstico estratégico, estabelecendo planos de ação e utilizando ferramentas gerenciais. Os objetivos específicos discorreram sobre identificar os problemas apresentados pelo gerente da organização e aplicar métodos de coleta de dados escolhidos, tais como: entrevistas e questionários, coletar e analisar informações de dados para definir soluções, avaliar o clima organizacional e gerencial, desenvolver recomendações a serem trabalhadas e apresentar benefícios sobre possíveis mudanças. Portanto, considera-se como estudo de caso a metodologia deste estudo. Após a consultoria realizada envolvendo coleta de dados, análises e diagnóstico, foi possível considerar como resultado que a organização tem intuito de ajudar verdadeiramente e integralmente os portadores de câncer que procuram suporte psicológico, financeiro, nutricional, alimentício e de tratamentos físicos. Concluindo, o contato com a ONG Beta proporcionou aos envolvidos conscientização sobre valorizar as pessoas que necessitam de suporte, sendo assim, mais do que um projeto de consultoria, mas um trabalho humanitário. Abstract This article aims to expose a consultancy project developed and implemented within a non-governmental organization (NGO) in the city of Belo Horizonte. The purpose of this project was to analyze an Organizational Consultancy implemented in the research observation unit (NGO). The consultancy service was offered voluntarily to specific sectors, such as Operations Management, Corporate Strategy, Marketing Strategy, General Management, and Financial Analysis. Hence, a strategic diagnosis was held by means of establishing action plans and using management tools. The specific objectives are related to identifying the problems presented by the organization's manager and applying selected methods of data collection, such as: interviews and questionnaires, data collection and information analysis in order to develop solutions; evaluation of the organizational and managerial climate; development of recommendations to be carried out; and presentation of benefits regarding possible changes. The case study approach was used in this research. After completing the consulting business process involving data collection, analysis, and diagnosis, as a result, it was found that this organization has aimed to help cancer patients truly and fully, by offering psychological and financial support, as well as nutritional and physical treatments. This research was carried out by way of a literature review. This is important to demonstrate, explain, and evaluate the existing literature about this specific theme covered in this article. Furthermore, the literature review gives accuracy and validation to this research. In conclusion, there is a discussion on the challenges faced by Irish legislators and Irish companies. The main finding is a recommendation showing that the Irish labour legislators and companies should work together to create a flexible, proactive, and responsive regulatory system that can deal effectively with current and future health and safety challenges. O presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar e revisar o impacto da crise financeira global sobre ... more O presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar e revisar o impacto da crise financeira global sobre a gestão de recursos humanos nas empresas multinacionais na Irlanda. Foi realizada uma revisão da literatura, tomando-se como referência o estudo de Gunningle, Lavelle e Monaghan (2013) e os dados coletados em jornais, revistas, livros e periódicos científicos. A grande contribuição do artigo está relacionada ao fato de trazer um caso, a Irlanda, para demonstrar que em momentos de crises, os gestores da área de RH podem e devem ser vistos como key-players dentro das empresas, atuando de forma estratégica. Torna-se necessário que os gestores de RH, para se comunicar de forma eficaz, construam boas relações e estejam atentos a difícil tarefa de equilibrar os anseios individuais e organizacionais. Tratar o caso específico da Irlanda traz limitações do ponto de vista das generalizações, mas funciona como uma ilustração de alternativas conhecida como '"Global Financial Crisis (GFC)''.

As the influence of social media on consumer behaviour continues to expand, understanding the rol... more As the influence of social media on consumer behaviour continues to expand, understanding the role of social media influencers (SMIs) in marketing communication strategies has become essential. This study examines the correlation between the time users spend on social media platforms and their likelihood of following brand recommendations from SMIs. Utilising a quantitative research design, a questionnaire was administered to 91 social media users to collect data on their engagement with social media and their interactions with influencers. Descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were computed to analyse the relationships between the variables. The results indicated a statistically significant but weak positive correlation (r = .250, p = .017) between the time spent on social media and users’ tendencies to follow influencer brand recommendations. While a substantial number of users regularly engage with influencer content, a moderate influence was observed on actual purchasing decisions. The study highlights the complexity of influencer impact on consumer behaviour, suggesting that time spent on social media is one of the multiple factors influencing this relationship. It underscores the need for a multifaceted marketing approach that goes beyond mere presence on social media to include strategies that foster authenticity and resonate with consumer values. These findings contribute to the digital landscape’s strategic planning and optimisation of influencer-led marketing campaigns.
