For the adoption of any new material or technology, it generally needs proven performance record over traditional materials. Considerable research is carried out in India, towards the technology development so that Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) could soon find a place in the Indian construction industry. In the present work, experimental investigation is carried out on the strength properties of fibrous SCC with triple blending. Fly ash and condensed silica fume (CSF) are both employed as replacement to cement at various percentages to give triple blending. By doing this kind of triple blending it is expected to derive the beneficial properties of both the mineral admixtures. Concrete mixture of grade M40 is designed and tried for the SCC. Steel fibres of different aspect ratios ranging from 10-20 are tried along with polypropylene fibres of 12 mm length. SCC mixtures with various combinations were tested for workability, compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural st...

Asbestos fibers have been widely used in the world but also in Albania. Being in contact with it is a daily risk to human life. Asbestos is also known as the silent killer. There are 2300 Asbestos based products worldwide. In our country the most widespread product is Eternite which has a content of 30% asbestos and 70% cement. Cement mixes very well with Asbestos fibers isolating them. During time cement collapse and losses, its physical properties by many factors including atmospheric ones causing the Asbestos fibers to expose themselves in the surrounding area. As a consequence of being microscopic, they penetrate to the human body endangering our lives. In the 60s and 80s in US, anti-Asbesto campaigns started for the first time, while in the EU it started very late in 1992 and unfortunately also during that period in developing countries this dangerous material was still being used endangering the lives of people. Every year over 100,000 people around the world die from incurable diseases caused by asbestos. In 2012, the use of Asbestos was strictly banned in European Union countries, including Israel.

This paper proposes an LQR controller for the balance and stability of an electric unicycle. Aparticle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is utilizedto automatically track the best solution of the weighting matrices Q and R of` the controller, rather than randomly choosing their weights. It also examines dynamics of the electric unicycle's schematic design, which has a backing seat for the passenger and is analogous to the Segway device equipped with a handle shaft for direction. Command tracking or regulation of some initial state condition were examined and demonstrated by time based simulations of the modelled system. The results evidently indicate that the LQR controller can effectively and efficiently attain attitude equilibrium for the two-wheeled unicycle.

The aim of this study is reported in face of the phenomenon of reindustrialization in Europe, supported by developing a case study as a Company can react to the process adopting a new management model, as the factory was almost disactivated during several years, so the final idea is to demonstrate that is a new reindustrialization movement, but not performing on the same way as in the past. The European Foundation for Quality model (EFQM) and then apply the improvement and management actions in each one of its aspects in order to promote and evaluate the permanent and continuous improvement, for this proposal we use the change and organizational development method. Leadership style, in this process of transformation and in the case in particular through changes in the shareholder body, the change of generation and especially by the inclusion of the professional management team, in consequence of the key performance indicators improvement, including the EFQM score as a all. The implementation of a management model will lead management to a leadership style conducive to value creation and results in terms of quality, human and financial capital based on effective organizational performance. Phased implementation, with the creation and development of pilot areas, is particularly beneficial to the organization's culture.

Experimental investigations were carried out to determine the Tensile and Hardness characteristics of cast AA6063 Aluminium rods produced from sand and permanent cast moulds. Sand and permanent moulds were fabricated and used to produce Aluminium rods. The test samples from cast rods were subjected to Tensile and Hardness tests. The results obtained showed better Tensile and Hardness properties, in the sand cast samples than that of permanent cast samples. The hardness of permanent and sand casting varied from 66.5Hv to 70.0Hv. Also, Ultimate Tensile Strength increased from 108.78MPa in permanent casting to 161.97MPa in sand casting. Conversely, the Tensile and Hardness properties of the cast products improved from those of permanent casting to sand casting. Therefore, sand cast products could be used in as-cast condition in engineering applications requiring better quality parts while permanent casting may be used in as-cast condition for nonengineering applications or engineering applications requiring less quality parts.

When sparse dot-matrix image of halftone dots (printing-quantum-dots image) is used to realize information recording, information hiding, and information anti-counterfeiting, there is a problem of high bit error rate caused by the stain of printed information and the misjudgment of read information. In this paper, a reliable encoding and decoding algorithm of sparse lattice information based on printing-quantum-dots image is proposed. The encoding algorithm use a combination of information encryption, Low-Density-Parity-Check (LDPC) encoding, interleaved encoding and frame synchronization encoding, generating the printing-quantumdots image. The decoding algorithm is the inverse process of the encoding algorithm, and can partially intercept the printing-quantum-dots image for reading. From the experimental results, it can be concluded that the combined coding scheme has better error-correcting ability and imperceptibility, the SSIM of before and after embedding reaches above 0.99, and the PSNR reaches above 54dB. Moreover, it can extract the printingquantum-dots from the cover image, and read the hidden information. Besides, compared to BCH code, and convolutional code, it has high coding efficiency, prominent coding efficiency, as well as faster decoding speed.

Gynecological cytology, which involves microsopic observation of a cervical sample, is the gold standard in screening of cervical cancer even todayand commonly known as the Pap smear. Regular screening for human papilloma virus (HPV) in postitive Pap smears improved understanding of relationship between HPV and cervical cancer, however, not much attention is given to the other infectious agents such as Gardnerella vaginalis, Trichomonas vaginalis, yeasts and mixed vaginal bacterial flora. In this study, we investigated the relationship between these infectious agents and morphological changes of the cervical cells as well as amount of released microbial metabolic products and their possible role in the development of cervical cancer.

This paper presents the numerical simulation results of the hot rolling process of the copper-carbon steel bimetal sheet using ABAQUS software. The response surface methodology (RSM) based on a central composite experiment design (CCD) was used to study the influence of process parameters on the deformability of the copper-carbon steel bimetal sheet fabricated by hot rolling. Researched process parameters include rolling temperature T (0 C), degree of deformation ε (%), the rotational speed of the roll v (rpm). Deformability is assessed through the maximum rolling force P max (tons) and the maximum stress of the workpiece σ max (MPa). The obtained results allow analysis and selection of reasonable process parameter ranges of the bimetal sheet preparation.

Many systems and businesses use cyberspace for online advertising to introduce their products and services, but the emergence of online advertising blockers (adblockers) and the widespread desire of cyberspace users to use these technologies have vastdimensions and implications for the Internet advertising ecosystem that seems to have been neglected by many experts. The present study aimed to investigate the role of Internet advertising blockers on determinants of consumer buying behavior. The statistical population consisted of users in the age range of 20 to 40 years as the most common users of cyberspace. The present study was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM). The data collection tool included a questionnaire with the Likert scale which was validated and confirmed using confirmatory factor analysis (to confirm validity), and Cronbach's alpha coefficient (to confirm reliability). The results confirmed that the widespread use of online advertising blockers, despite their widespread use, had significant effects on reducing customers' purchase intention, consumers' awareness of products and services, brand association in deciding to buy, and consumers' perceived quality of the brand.

Functional foods, which aim to use the existing opportunities effectively to meet the food need due to the increasing population in the world, are still lacking in producing new products to support human health. In this study, functional food components were brought together to produce a non-alcoholic beverage that can be offered to individuals and has a resistance-increasing and immune system-strengthening effect. In the study, extracts containing flavonoids obtained from different plant sources and extraction method were added to the proteins found in liquid form in whey, and the mixture was enriched with casein obtained from milk. Pomegranate, cinnamon and chamomile plants have been selected considering their high flavonoid content and different colors and odours. In the extraction process, it was optimized with the Box-Behnken experimental design by using the classical extraction method in water solvent. Three different beverage samples with different effects were produced by adding casein and whey produced by precipitating the protein of milk with acetic acid and evaporating the acid to the prepared extracts, depending on the amount of antioxidants to be taken daily. It is recommended to prefer chamomile-based drinks for a positive and calming effect on cancer cells, pomegranate flower to neutralize harmful components accumulated in the body, cinnamon-based drinks for a soothing effect in neurodegenerative diseases, and to consume all beverage samples to observe all these antiinflammatory effects is expected to lead.

In this research, an attempt is made to explore into the potential dangers that the practitioners of welding activities are posed to in the welding activities. 200 questionnaires were administered across parts of four (4) Local Government Areas that make up Sokoto Metropolis of Nigeria, Sokoto North, Sokoto South, Wamakko and Dange-Shuni Local Government Areas. This was aimed at collecting data from welding practitioners on their adherences to safety precautions in the practice welding activities. 195 out 200 administered questionnaires were retrieved and analysed. The results of the analysis revealed that, the majority of welding practitioners in the metropolis lacks the basic education about the code of practice in welding and neglect most necessary safety precautions which arose due to lack of regulations and enforcement of adherences to codes by any governmental agency. It was then recommended that government should regulate, enforce adherences to codes and support the practitioners within the metropolis.

Sociology, as a scientific resource and constitutional theoretical paradigm, is, through its micro-and phenomenological-humanist component, increasingly requested, in contemporary social assistance. The sociological scientific foundation of the policies and practices of the new types of social assistance, in accordance with the realities of the beginning of the millennium, being a necessity. Under the conditions of shaking structural or universalist solutions and paradigms, advancing postmodernist paradigms and social solutions, sociologists must increasingly resort to visions, concepts, theories or methods such as existentialist or personalist-humanist, often marginalized in periods of economic and social well-being. , when redistribution policies and universalist-solidarity mechanisms automatically solve many social problems. That is precisely those paradigms that highlight the valences and role of the small group, the small community, the context and the person in social determinism, in the explanation of the social vulnerability and problem.

In the present study, an attempt has been made to comprehensively investigate the bearing capacity characteristics of shallow strip footing, placed on a geogrid reinforced granular soil and underlain by a soft clay deposit. A finite element limit analysis (FELA)approach has been used to obtain the upper bound value of the true collapse load. Investigation of several critical parameters, such as thickness of the sand layer, friction angle of the sand, and number of geogrid layers are investigated under a parametric framework and the results are presented in the form of charts. Based on the results obtained, the efficacy of installation of geogrids has been established and subsequently, their optimal spacing has been obtained. Present study would be highly beneficial to the practicing civil engineers while designing a shallow foundation over a granular soil, underlain by a weak clay soil layer.

With the rapid proliferation of wireless technologies and the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) empowered wireless devices, the demands for high data rates, low latency, massive connectivity, and ubiquitous coverage are continually increasing. Since 5th Generation (5G) of cellular networks offer relatively lower data rates and latency than the requirements, therefore, world's giant companies and academia have started working beyond 5G and conceptualize their vision about the 6th Generation (6G). This paper envisions the need to move towards a new generation by carefully observing three primary aspects. Firstly, the technological gaps that the current 5G standards are facing are highlighted by specifying the prerequisite for 6G. Secondly, exploiting the newly adopted AI-based potential services such ashologram, self-automated vehicles, 3D connectivity, etc. are discussed. Thirdly, investigating the new frequency spectrum resources for 6G, i.e., Terahertz (THz) and Visible Light Communication (VLC), that ensure high transmission rates across the networks. Furthermore, the key issues and challenges are also highlighted to explore the grand 6G vision.

The aim pursued in the development of the case study design is to create a school center with "almost zero energy" (nZEB) through the use of methodology (BIM from 3D to 6D) which, on the one hand, reduce the risk of errors in the design phase and, on the other hand, prevent subsequent time and cost extensions in the construction phase and allow for a detailed and updated energy analysis. This last point is essential for both the design phase and the facility management phase. These objectives are fully achieved through the construction of a high school of first degree, located in the historic part of the city of Teramo (IT), which will replace the existing one but damaged and rendered unusable by the earthquake of 2016. Below of this will be installed a car park for public use which will increase the availability of stalls in an area that has a shortage. The site where the project will be built is that of the old municipal stadium, located within the historic center of the city of Teramo, around which it will be appropriate to modify the road network aimed at solving some small problems.

The total ankle arthroplasty (TAA) is an alternative procedure to the arthrodesis in the treatment of advanced arthritis in the ankle joint. And for the ankle joint replacement if damaged or destroyed. The main objective of this project to determine if the destroyed human ankle can be replaced by an artificial ankle joint, which can be suitable for all type of people with more success rate and less failure rate by doing Finite element simulation on the CAD model. Which will give us the basic idea of an impact of different forces on the artificial joint and what it does to it. We must design an artificial ankle for different kind of people depending on their height, weight and model. The main goal must be that the artificial ankle must be an exact replica of the damaged bone. It should work just like the original bone. Firstly, there will be brief description of the ankle joint and how it works, by that we can create an artificial joint CAD model. Then using Finite element Method, the simulation is done for it.

The vertical design spectrum was defined in modern seismic design codes as a ratio from horizontal response spectra for different levels of seismic intensity. These spectra are important for some special structural systems which are indicated in the seismic design codes. In this study, 268 sets of shallow crustal earthquakes in three magnitude levels of earthquakes were selected to evaluate the characteristics of the vertical design spectrum in the Egyptian design seismic code (ECP-201, 2012). The database records of strong motions were taken from Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) for diverse areas in the world. Four types of soil (A, B, C and D) based on ECP-201 are used in the evaluations. The first type of elastic response spectrum for shallow crustal earthquakes was recommended according to the ECP-201. The evaluation indicated that significant differences between the mean vertical spectral response spectra and individuals derived from the ECP-201 code for different seismicity. The V/H ratio is sensitive to both earthquake magnitude levels and soil types.

In this paper we first review of the digital multisignature schemes using elliptic curvers and elliptic curve version of the multisignature scheme with distinguished signing responsibilities. Then, we propose a new multisignature scheme with distinguished signing responsibilities. In this scheme, each group member has distinguished signing responsibility and partial contents of the message can be verified without revealing the whole message. Our proposed scheme is more efficient than the scheme reviewed and capable of application in practice.

This paper presents a comprehensive one-dimensional, equivalent-linear dynamic response analysis of river sand mixed with shredded tire chips, based on a rigorous numerical modelling technique. Due to substantial increase in urbanization and consequent increase in the number of vehicles, a large number of wastetires are accumulated each year. An improper management of the tires generated in this much significant quantity may become hazardous for the environment and therefore, some sustainable techniques to reutilize the waste tires should be given due consideration. In this regard, addition of shredded rubber tires to enhance the dynamic properties of weak or poor soil in seismically prone region may be given due consideration. In the present study, influence of addition of shredded rubber and its consequent impact on the seismic ground response has been studied comprehensively based on a finite element analysis. Results are presented considering different strong ground motion. Parametric study has further been carried out to and results are presented to quantify the influence of significant parameters, such as rubber content (RC), thickness of rubber-sand mixed deposit (H). Acceleration-time history plots are presented at the bottom and top of the rubber-sand deposit. Maximum shear strain and its distribution has also been plotted. The efficacy of addition of rubber on sand to mitigate the seismic hazard has been illustrated.

In this paper evaluates the possibility uses of recycled fine aggregate (RFA) obtained from C& D waste a substitute of natural fine aggregate (river sand) for development of sustainable concrete. For this, an experimental investigation of M30 grade of concrete is prepared by using of 20, 30, 50, and 100% replacement of NFA by RFA and compared their results with conventional concrete (0% RFA). Target strength 30 MPa and slump value 100 mm is set for each series of concrete mix. Flow properties of concrete such as workability and harden properties like compressive strength, flexural strength, split tensile strength and modulus of elasticity evaluated. Results shows that compressive strength, flexural strength, splitting tensile strength and modulus of elasticity reduces 8.63%, 6.32%, 6.25% and 8.75%, respectively in concrete made with 30% replacement of NFA by RFA at 28 days than that of conventional aggregate concrete. In terms of rheological and mechanical properties, the trend displayed by concrete is also very much similar to the conventional concrete. Finding from this experimental study suggest that the RFA has enormous potential to considerably reduce the cost of concrete.

The parametric generators (PG-s) are high-efficient frequency dividers, that are often used in frequency mixing and modulation. The application range of PG-s is very large, e.g. in the quantum phase devices that are capable of receiving signals of lower intensity than noise, and storing of information for both phase information or quantization of stable phase states. PG-s are also present in many other applications.

The recent strategies for creating machine learning algorithms require experts with significant information on machine learning. This outcomes in preparing wide scope of people who can educate machines. The discipline of machine teaching is placed on generating the optimum training set that can direct a learning algorithm with the most proficiency. The vital advantage of machine teaching is that it put computerization devices under the control of common consumers with no software engineering foundation-that is, subject specialists. The idea is to empower business clients to take machine teaching tools and apply them to issues explicit to their industry divisions. In this paper, we review the various machine teaching paradigms that is useful for the machine learning algorithm to perform efficiently and effectively. The suggestions and directions for futureinvestigation are likewise proposed.

This work aims to analyze the thermal fluid flow in a stationary plasma arc cutting operation under the plasma gases argon, air and nitrogen. COMSOL software was utilized to solve multiphysics phenomena, including the laminar flow, the heat transfer, the electric and the magnetic field. The validation of the procedure was confirmed against papers found in the literature. The comparisons showed a good match. When the plasma behavior of the plasma arc cutting operation is investigated, one can see that physical plasma constriction causes plasmas to flow faster in greater temperatures. The highest plasma inlet velocity makes the most stable arc in argon plasma arc whereas the lowest plasma inlet velocity causes the same result in air plasma arc. Plasma arc torch design can be performed with the proposed method in this work.

Based on the actual production requirements, this paper studies the key issues of the mixed flow production line scheduling in the digital machine shop. Considering the shift constraints and machine state constraints, a robust scheduling algorithm is proposed. For the shift constraint, that is, the process must be arranged to the corresponding shift time of the machine, a time slice mapping mechanism is proposed to improve the efficiency of the algorithm. The algorithm considers the availability of the machine and the currently determined machine load in the machine allocation for the deterministic state constraint. The deterministic state requires that the current machine state be considered when arranging the machine. There are mainly three states: good, damaged and time-limited maintenance. Only when the machine is in good or nonmaintenance state at the current time, the processing can be arranged on the machine. Non-deterministic state refers to the uncertainty machine load. Uncertain machine load refers to the load caused by the arrival of random orders, machine failures and scheduling changes. The uncertain machine has a non-negligible effect on the scheduling results. The efficiency of a robust scheduling algorithm that considers shift constraints, predicted non-deterministic machine load components, and deterministic machine load components is verified by the simulation. Applying the scheduling method proposed in this paper to the actual machine shop mixed-flow production line scheduling, it can adjust the production cycle, rationally assign tasks, balance production load and avoid bottleneck machines, realize efficient operation of production lines, maximize resource utilization and meet the actual production management needs of manufacturing enterprises.

Today's energy systems increasingly rely on renewable energy sources. However, the energy potential of these solutions is not stable. This means that there will always be a supply and demand imbalance in this respect. Therefore, it becomes extremely important to create a hydrogen supply chain system that stabilizes the operation of the electricity network in the long term. The article shows the possibility of converting energy into hydrogen, which has many potential utility properties, including the possibility of changing it back into electricity. The assumptions for the integration of renewable energy sources with the power grid through hydrogen supply chain have been presented.

Conductive polymer as Polyaniline (PANI-ES) prepared by chemical oxidation polymerization method at room temperature and studied the effect the dopant sulfuric acid on the structure of the polymer, which prepared with molarity of sulfuric acid (1M), the changes taking place were follow-up by the following measurements: FESEM, FT-IR, I-V character. The diagnosis of the output polymer films by using infrared spectroscopy FT-IR, for doped samples with 1M of sulfuric acid observed change in the intensity of emission opposite the wave number corresponding to each bond, while not noticed any change in the position of the bonds with appearance anew peak return to SO 4 compound. By the FESEM properties of the surface study using the topography FESEM (Field Emission Scanning Electronic Microscopic) and calculated the particle revealed, that the compound has micro granular affected with the presence of acid. Electrical characteristic study by using the two-probe manner, it found that the samples had ohmic plots in which high linear coefficients. The doped samples of polymer had a highest conductivity of 2.98x10-4 S.cm-1 at 383 K, which observed for the H 2 SO 4 doped sample, which shows that was more prominent of localized salt in polymer.

Electric vehicles (EV), including Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV), are becoming more commonplace in the transportation sector in recent times. As the present trend suggests, this mode of transport is likely to replace internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles in the near future. Each of the main EV components has a number of technologies that are currently in use or can become prominent in the future. EVs can cause significant impacts on the environment, power system, and other related sectors. The present power system could face huge instabilities with enough EV penetration, but with proper management and coordination, EVs can be turned into a major contributor to the successful implementation of the smart grid concept. There are possibilities of immense environmental benefits as well, as the EVs can extensively reduce the greenhouse gas emissions produced by the transportation sector. However, there are some major obstacles for EVs to overcome before totally replacing ICE vehicles. Industrial Motor Drives mainly deals with operations at base speed of motor. Electric Vehicle Motor Drives deals with operations that require sudden start and stop, low speed operations and base speed operations as well. The system should meet the objective of variable speed, variable torque applications like Electric Vehicles (EVs). As per studies, BLDC motor is found to be a suitable motive element for EV application based on its suitable torque speed characteristics. The system needs to implement with a suitable control mechanism that will help to operate the motor in an efficient manner.

The methodology was used to obtain new normal probability and extreme value distribution functions through Bayesian inference and stochastic mixture of Gaussians. The proposed methodology is oriented to data with Gaussian behavior and consists of fitting the normal distribution function to the time series data of the porosity data, transit time curves and the curve of the gamma geophysical record, to find the probability of the Minimum or estimated values to find areas of interest, then we use Bayesian inference for normal data, in this case they are looking for behavior and trend with new Gaussian and extreme value functions. To validate the model we use the following statistical estimators, measurement of the root of the squared error, squared error, coefficient of determination and prediction approximation.
