The requirements as a church pastor in the book of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 are very relevant to the life of the church today in determining the pastor of the church. This application by the local church is very useful in finding a qualified church pastor according to Bible values. This article appears based on text research conducted with the method of grammatical study which finally found biblical truth about the requirements for church pastors. This grammatical study uses library research methods that rely on scientific references, credible books and online articles. The author finds that the values ​​that Paul conveyed to Timothy can be a reference for appointing a pastor in the local congregation. The implication obtained based on text research is that a church pastor must comply with the conditions taught by the apostle Paul, physically and spiritually.

Abstract

Offering is a form of reflection of faith in Christianity which is a form of self-sacrifice by giving possessions to God. Offerings can be described as a reflection of the sacrificial model in the Old Testament where a worshiper surrenders his possession to God. In the world of the New Testament Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of an imperfect sacrifice in this Old Testament and He has offered Himself once and for all as a sacrifice perfecting the previous sacrifice. Offering to God, even though there are many variations in Christianity today, is meaningless if it does not come from a heart that is willing to worship God. The demand for offerings in the Church cannot be limited to one tenth or other types of offerings. According to the word of God, believers offer their whole lives to God, because the person of the believer belongs to God.



Abstrak

Persembahan adalah wujud refleksi keimanan dalam kekristenan yang merupakan bentuk pengorbanan diri sendiri dengan memberikan harta milik kepunyaan bagi Allah. Persembahan dapat digambarkan sebagai cerminan dari model korban dalam Perjanjian Lama yang mana seorang pengibadah menyerahkan kepunyaannya kepada Allah. Dalam dunia Perjanjian Baru Yesus Kristus adalah penggenapan dari korban yang belum sempurna dalam Perjanjian Lama ini dan Ia telah mempersembahkan diriNya sekali untuk selamanya sebagai korban yang menyempurnakan korban sebelumnya. Persembahan kepada Allah, sekalipun banyak ragamnya dalam kekristenan kini, tidaklah bermakna bila tidak berasal dari hati yang ikhlas beribadah kepada Allah. Tuntutan memberi persembahan dalam Gereja tidak dapat dibatasi dengan sepersepuluh saja atau jenis-jenis persembahan lainnya. Berdasarkan firman Tuhan orang percaya mempersembahkan seluruh hidupnya bagi Allah, karena pribadi orang percaya adalah milik Allah.
