ABSTRACT The Human Culture and Its Moves Cleide Riva Campelo Taking the Semiotics of Culture as a point of view, this present study starts out from restating several of the Tartu-Moscow School theses and bringing along the proposal to review them out of an authorial perspective and in a dialogical parallel with several contemporary theories. By defining the human culture as a complex communicative system and re-establishing the bridges between nature and culture as a bonding continuum, the author aims to review some issues such as the cultural boundaries, counter-culture, and all the games which nature and culture play in our bodies. There is also an invitation for the reader to start out an intellectual walk on such paths as food and hunting, and other semiotic relations, on a Semiotics of Culture perspective.
