Use of data mining in the healthcare industry is proving to be a boon for attaining speedy, accurate and futuristic results. This paper presents a systematic approach of data mining techniques in healthcare industry and a survey of current techniques of knowledge discovery in databases using data mining techniques that are in use today in medical research and healthcare sector.
