The COVID-19 pandemic drastically transformed the global education system forever. To sustain the education system, e-learning has been adopted as an alternative teaching-learning strategy in most countries. Due to this sudden transition, teachers had practically no time to prepare themselves for distance learning, especially in developing countries. Consequently, teachers faced numerous challenges while teaching online. The present study aimed to explore the effectiveness of need-based teachers’ training programs to address online teaching challenges faced by primary and secondary level teachers. Adopting a mixed-method research approach, this study was conducted between January and July 2021 at 6 primary and secondary level institutions in 4 different districts of Bangladesh. Primary data were collected through face-to-face surveys, electronic surveys, and one-to-one semi-structured interviews. Descriptive analysis and bivariate correlational analysis were carried out for quantita...

The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between service quality, program quality and student satisfaction in the context of higher education. In the context of higher education, most of the private universities are incapable of upholding the quality of higher studies in Bangladesh. Subsequently, student dissatisfaction has been detected, and institutions have failed to establish a positive image in the minds of employers. Moreover, in depth investigation on student satisfaction is under-researched in respect of private universities of Bangladesh. Past researchers have examined the only direct affiliation between service quality and student satisfaction, ignored program quality absolutely. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to analyze the influence of independent variables and hypotheses testing. The population of this study was fourth-year business students of nine ‘grade one’ private universities in Bangladesh. Data (n=331) were gathered from stud...

The present study has introduced a complete ICT based Mathematics Skill Development Program (MSDP) web service that aims to enhance the positive attitudes of students towards Maths. The entire system is designed and implemented in such ways that students can learn Maths with fun and practical experiences in the classroom rather than only theoretical exercises. For the last 2 years (2018-2019), we have applied MSDP in 4 distinct primary and secondary schools in Bangladesh and followed up the students ' (N = 200) attitudes towards Maths. Findings revealed that through the MSDP program, students have developed a significant positive attitude towards Maths that helps them to overcome mathematics anxiety.

This study examines service climate and service quality through the mediating impact of job satisfaction within a tertiary education level in Bangladesh. The sample size of the study consisted of 140 faculty-members from four different private universities of Dhaka city and a structured questionnaire was designed to assess the service quality of higher education. Several statistical methods such as t-test, correlations and multiple-regression were used to analyze the data. The study discloses that the overall service climate has a significant positive impact on service quality. Finally, the study reveals that job satisfaction is partially mediating between service climate and service quality. This paper makes an outstanding empirical contribution by incorporating service climate and job satisfaction and exploring their relationships with service quality in the context of higher education. The overall results of this study would be valuable to the planners to formulate the pragmatic ...
