The Quran is regarded as both the spiritual and behavioural guidance for all Muslims. This narrative study was designed at examining relevant health promoting verses in the Quran and to identify the affected community with illness. These suggested that the Quran could serve as an influential medium for culturally competent public health practioners in diverse populations, particularly in Muslim communities, for improving and maintaining healthy behaviours: The Quranic principle of: (Those should only be sought from your physician or appropriate healthy provider), and in many of the prophet’s Sunnah. It is narrated that one of the great commanders dispatched an expert physician to Medina to treat the patients for free. The physician stayed in Medina for a while, but either no one or only a very few people came for a visit…. Practitioners are expected to explore and find ways of spiritual reform, the practical deterrence measures, and the remedies once an offence has happened! We should emphasize the health aspects of society, and how The Quran, and humanity pointed at it from families, world, and institutions and in government agencies. These gave rise to structural and relational developments and experiences that continue to influence nation building, but may also account for the state of health and peace in Uganda. Therefore, Batenga Foundation (BAFO) and Uganda Muslim Youth Transformation Association have organized a medical camp to provide space for stakeholders from community and other sectors to reflect specifically to offer free medical services with the view to building consensus on sustainable management of different community stakeholders in Uganda.

Pro-justice and anti-Zionist Apartheid demonstrations are held on this day in most Muslim and Arab countries and by Muslim and non-Muslim communities around the world, including the United States. It is held each year on the last Friday of the Muslim month of Ramadhan.

Attempts at explaining revolutions have revolved around three main questions: Why do a great number of people act collectively against a regime? How do a large group of people mobilize themselves against the armed power of a regime, making their social power capable of defeating it? And what has been the outcome of revolutions? Sociological studies have focused mostly on the first two questions, with the last question receiving scant attention. The aim of this article is to offer a tentative analysis of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran in the light of the third question, that is, what has been its outcome? In order to answer the question, I rely on certain presumptions in sociology known as ‘rational choice theory.’1 According to rational choice theory, a revolution’ is not considered to be a blind collective reaction to different and painful conditions. Rather, the revolutionaries are posited as self-aware individuals who voluntarily seek the means to change and improve their own situation and that of society. It is mainly because of this aspiration that people follow them. Of course, the conscious acts of revolutionaries, like all acts, can have both intended and unintended consequences.

The students were very prepared for that day. The female's branch of Al-Mustafa located in Mbuya reached at the males compass at 8:30am in their mini-bus, but because they were less in number, some males joined them and occupied the vacant seats together with the camera man. The females vehicle left at 8:45am to Mbale while the other males remained behind waiting for the bigger vehicle because they were more in number than the females. It arrived at 9:00am. As soon as the students heard it, they rushed outside the gate; the weak ones couldn't enter immediately because there was a lot of pulling and pushing fearing that the vehicle might not be enough for all of them. A third year student known as Senkungu Anwar urged his classmates to let the first year students occupy the front seats because that was their first trip at Al-Mustafa. With Allah's help we all sat in the vehicle comfortably. Our food was brought and loaded in the vehicle. The director, his daughter, the registrar and the secretary also took their vehicle and left at 9: 50am then followed by the male's bus. A Du'ah for the journey was recited by Lwanyaga Yasin, then the vehicle first stopped at shell Bugolobi and we filled the fuel, and from there we continued until Mukono municipality where we were caught up in a tough traffic jam. Sheikh Mukasa gave some highlights about the Trips calendar as we moved. With the emergence of new religiosity in the 1960s and 1970s and the revolution which occurred in the name of Islam in Iran, a new discourse began around the relationship between modernity and religion. The fundamental question brought forth in this area is whether the development and spread of these new outlooks on religion as opposed to modernization are in reaction to it, or vice versa, are they the logical results of a process which has influenced various social, economic, educational, and cultural areas? Can one talk of ''religious modernization'' in Iran? Or in sociologists' lingo, can one say that modernization and religion are opposed to each other, or whether there is some kind of accommodation and congeniality between the two?
