The influence of the submarine canyon on the spatial temporal distribution of bio- chemical parameters is one of the actual problems in modern oceanography. The com- plex morphology of shelf/slope region in the canyon area, the responses of forcing, both local and remote, and the internal dynamical instabilities generate a wide range of processes over a broad range of scales.
