Circumstances, which could have decided about placing of dead into the settlement features, are evaluated in the study. Their assessment is based on the sites with greater amount of features, with several individuals in their filling and with preserved proofs of violent downfall of this settlement. It is possible to ascribe main portion of untraditional inhumation to various manifestations of unusual death recalled by violence which accompanied fighting actions according to this. These circumstances contributed to the considerable marginalisation of original social status of individuals. Proscribed individuals were laid into the inferior space of settlement features as a consequence of this events. Their bodies were arranged in the flexed position, prone position, their anatomical position was disturbed by intentional intervention on behalf of protection of local community from their negative influence.

Podľa nich boli popisované zákroky vykonávané u jedincov – revenantov, ktorí mohli po smrti rôznym spôsobom poškodzovať zdravie, úspešnosť v hospodárskej činnosti a ďalšie významné sféry života pozostalých.

Graves in settlement areas during the 9th-10th cent. represent a rare way of inhumation. Analysis of finds provided determining traits of all elements of burial rite. Only when further sources of historical character were added it was possible to determine the reasons for inhumation in settlements. The reasons lie with the exceptionality of the deceased. These persons could get into this position after having broken valid law they died and were not able to amend their failures. This second-rate social status of similar character could have been obtained also by other individuals who had died in uncommon way or under unclear conditions. This way of inhumation does not represent some phenomenon of a crisis, but it is evidence for growing legal consciousness of members of the Great Moravian society.

The osteological remains of a juvenile woman, 17-20 years, was discovered in grave number 23/88 at Muzla-Cenkov in the Nove Zamky district of Slovakia. Wound resulting from an iron arrowhead was located in her second lumbar vertebral body. Because of presence of the arrowhead in vertebral body and by the complete absence of any signs of healing processes, we conclude on perimortal injury which probably proved quickly extinguishing the life. DNA analysis was instituted for increased accuracy and reliability in establishing sex of this juvenile individual. An association with the old Hungarian troops who previously occupied this area was concluded, based on analytic evidence.
