Testing new inexpensive natural products such as mango kernel (Mangifera indica L., Anacardiaceae) may provide alternative and economically viable anti-MRSA drugs. In the current study, we screened clinical isolates from Aseer Central Hospital, Saudi Arabia, during 2012–2017 for MRSA and tested an ethanolic extract of mango kernel for anti-MRSA activity. Brief confirmation of MRSA was performed by the Vitek 2 system, while antibiotic sensitivity of strains was tested for their clinical relevance. The In vitro disc diffusion method was used to test the anti-MRSA activity of the ethanolic mango kernel extract. The antimicrobial activity of mango kernel was compared to that of standard drugs (oxacillin and vancomycin). Of the identified 132 S. aureus strains, 42 (31.8%) were found to be MRSA and their prevalence showed a clear increase during the last two years (2016-2017; p<0.001). MRSA strains...

Immediate implant was used after extraction of lower third premolar in mongreal male dogs. Critical size defects were created in intact proximal alveolar bone to each implant. The defects were divided randomly into four groups of two animals based on biomaterials used for treatment:1 received no treatment (negative control);2 defects treated with nanohydroxyapatite bone graft;3 defects treated with micro hydroxyapatite bone graft; and4 defects treated with a mixed composite of micro and nano hydroxyapatite. Animals were sacrificed at 2 months and histologic and histometric evaluation was carried out. The amount of new bone formed with nano hydroxyapatite bone graft was highly significant than that obtained by micro or mixed composite of hydroxyapatite. Defects treated ...

The sample consists of (62) faculty members and their assistants from (some Egyptian public universities, scientific and humanity specialization, male and female, and married and unmarried). The researcher translated and verified the validity of Psychological Empowerment in the Workplace scale by Spritzer and Type A Behavior scale by Friedman & Rosenman. Data was analyzed using correlation and t-test . The results indicated that psychological empowerment has significant relationship with Type A Behavior, moreover Demographic variables did not have significant impact on the total score of psychological empowerment and Type A Behavior except Marital Status; Where unmarried staff members marked a high degree of Type A Behavior compared to married staff members.

The fundamental problem we address in this paper is the inability of using maximum minimum eigenvalue detection with filtering in time domain where the white noise becomes coloured. The solution we propose here is based on frequency domain rectangular filtering. By

A cross-sectional study was conducted at the University of Gezira, Sudan, on the use of skin-whitening products among a sample of Sudanese undergraduate females (ages 16-33 years). Sociodemographic characteristics were collected, and students were asked whether they had used skin-whitening products in the past 12 months. Of the 348 undergraduate females surveyed in this study, 74.4 % reported using skin-whitening products within the past year. Of this group, 2.7 % reported using injections, 2.4 % pills, 30.6 % bleaching cream, and 76.2 % soap. Illegal sources (e.g., people selling on the sides of roads) of skin-whitening products were reported by 22.8 %. The use of skin-whitening products was common in females who were not satisfied with their skin colors more so than those who were satisfied with ...
