    The representatives of the Finnish science and humanities had traditionally good relations with Germany in the beginning of the 20th century. Despite of the politics of the Hitler regime, many (but not all) Finnish politicians and representatives of science and humanities in Finland continued their good relations with Germany. Therefore the University of Turku received as gifts during many years books from Nazi Germany. This book collection of Turku University Library (the German collection) has approximately 1000 books.
