Gempa bumi menjadi salah satu bencana yang sering terjadi di Indonesia, tidak terkecuali di Jawa Timur. Bencana ini juga biasa menimbulkan dampak yang serius, mulai kerusakan bangunan hingga korban jiwa. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya upaya untuk meminimalisasi adanya dampak tersebut dengan upaya mitigasi di lingkungan sekolah dasar (SD). Namun, terdapat beberapa SD yang belum memiliki fasilitas mitigasi gempa bumi. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk menambah pengetahuan mengenai literasi mitigasi gempa bumi dengan melakukan sosialisasi, simulasi, dan pemasangan rambu-rambu evakuasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini dimulai dengan menganalisis kebutuhan, dilanjutkan dengan perencanaan desain pra kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, hingga pasca kegiatan pengabdian. Balai desa Supiturang merupakan bangunan multifungsi yang digunakan untuk mewadahi aktivitas warga desa Supiturang, kecamatan Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang. Bangunan balai desa ini merupakan satu-satunya fasum yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat desa. Namun demikian, balai desa ini masih minim perhatian untuk pemeliharaan sehingga saat ini ada beberapa kerusakan di balai desa membutuhkan renovasi. Hal ini melatarbelakangi dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi desain zonasi (zoning) berdasarkan analisis konsep sustainable architecture, desain gambar kerja 2D dan visualisasi 3D. Abstrak: Strategi pendinginan pasif pada bangunan menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam memperoleh kenyamanan termal dengan meminimalkan konsumsi energi pendinginan bangunan. Posisi Indonesia yang dilewati oleh garis khatulistiwa mengakibatkan terjadinya penyinaran matahari sepanjang tahun. Hal ini memerlukan sebuah perlakuan khusus terhadap bukaan pada fasad bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan melihat pengaruh tipe internal shading pada interior bangunan terhadap variabel solar gain bangunan. penggunaan tipe shading berupa venetian blind, roller shades dan drapes akan diaplikasikan pada bangunan. hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa penggunaan roller shades mampu menurunkan level solar gain sebesar 55 persen. Sedangkan penggunaan venetian blinds dan drapes memberikan hasil penurunan sebesar 31 persen dan 25 persen. A glass facade is commonly used by modern building nowadays, even in the tropical area with its characteristic. Thus, buildings often face a problem with thermal comfort. Passive design strategy supposed to be considered by the architect in order to avoid inconvenience with the heat. This strategy utilized the architectural element as the tools to reach the comfort level. The aim of this study was to optimize the thermal behavior of the building itself by the modification of solar shading types and materials. EnergyPlus was used as a simulation tool in this study. The results show that solar gain exterior window can be reduced by 52,73% by using concrete louvre and wood louvre.

The use of natural ventilation strategy in a building is currently encouraged by the emergence of a pandemic Covid-19. In addition to its advantages in minimizing the use of electrical energy, the natural ventilation system is believed could reduce the possibility of spreading the virus. One design approach to this system is by using the window's design properly. Air movement inside a building should be utilized well to allow the movement from inlet to outlet. The position of the window was one of the variables examined in this study besides the types of the window. This study found that the use of a combination of 300 awnings produced the highest airspeed in the living room (R1), while a combination of horizontal sliding windows resulted in the highest air velocity in the bedroom (R2). Still, the airspeed generated from the two combinations less than the minimum level of it is generally required, 0.75 – 0.9 m/s.

Building facade plays significant role in building energy efficiency and sustainability. Double Skin Facade (DSF) strategy comes as one of solution in advance building facade design technology. The aim of this study is to observe the performance of DSF configuration (air gap width) and materials in terms of reducing cooling energy for energy efficiency in case study buildings in hot humid climate in Taiwan. DesignBuilder- EnergyPlus was used as simulation tool in this study. Two scenario based on the placement of DSF strategy were conducted. The results show that combination of 1.2m air gap and double glazed Low E could reduce the cooling energy demand up to 31.28%. This study proved that DSF strategy is possible to be applied on hot humid climate such as Taiwan.
