The National Education Policy 2020 recognises the significance of sustainable development in higher education. The focus of higher education is to achieve excellence in learning, skills and competencies. On the other hand, sustainable development involves generation and mobilisation of resources to provide quality of life to the people and resolve complex social issues. COVID-19 pandemic has not only affected the world economy but rather everyone's life, all over the world. Though every Higher Education system (HE system) strives for quality in teaching and research, differences can be noticed between endeavours for social outcome and social development. This research work aims to review the framework of HE system through systematic literature review and identify the priorities pursued by the HE system so far. It will also collect insights from senior faculty members and senior academic administrators of the HE system in Delhi through semi-structured interviews for possible change in their strategic direction. Information collected will be analysed through qualitative techniques and recommendations will be made for Indian HE system to steer their path towards sustainable development. The findings of the study will also be relevant and insightful for the regulatory authorities and higher education institutions to revisit their existing policy framework in the light of National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). The study also draws its relevance from the fact that Indian education system including the higher education is undergoing radical changes in the wake of NEP 2020 that focusses on multidisciplinary education and societal values.

The term transgender is applied in gender studies to refer to any person whose own sense of gender does not match with the gender assigned to them at birth and who may express gender in non traditional ways. Transgender is an umbrella term used to refer to any person who does not conform tothe gender stereotype. People of non-normative gender identities have an established presence in mythology in India. Transgender Indians therefore live a somewhat paradoxical reality; where they form a unique and substantial part of the historical, cultural and social fabric, yet are stigmatized, excluded and discriminated against in many aspects of their lives. The present study provided a context for understanding the experiences of transgender students in higher education institutions in Delhi. The study included interviews with transgender students to better understand what it is like to be a transgender student and the challenges faced by them. The purpose was also to devise strategies for mainstreaming them in Higher Education Institutions based on the suggestions of transgender students.

In this paper, the investigator has analysed the integration of Andragogy in the teaching techniques of the teacher at higher education level. Dissemination of knowledge is not the only purpose of teaching, rather focus on overall growth of a student or learner must be given. Recently with introduction of National Education Policy 2020, the emphasis of teaching must be changed as compare to the old and traditional method which only focuses on the rote learning. The paradigm has been shifted with change in employment landscape and global ecosystem. NEP 2020 focusses on vocational and innovational learning. This wants to make the youth from job seeker to job giver. So, in order to make the realisation of objectives of the NEP 2020, it demands the pedagogy to be evolved in such a way that children not only learn, but rather to inculcate how to learn. This paper explores the integration of adult learning principles in teaching philosophy, so that the ultimate objective of NEP 2020 must be achieved.

Human life is a continuous process of growth and decay, beginning from infancy and gradually coming to old age through childhood and adulthood and it ultimately terminates with death. Old age comes to everyone of us. Old age has been seen and is related to the decline in the physical functionality of a person, it even affect the functions played by different organs in our body. Nevertheless, the other side of getting old is deep knowledge of oneself, serenity and a feeling of wholeness. It is this side of old age, its aspects and its future, on which the current study is focused upon. The enhancement of positive working in old age has been long associated with the spiritual activities. This study aims to nd the effect of yoga on the well being levels of elderly and also comparison of the enhancement of well being through yoga of adolescents with elder lies. Standardized tool (Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scales (PWB), was been used to measure well being in both groups. Yoga classes were undertaken for 1 month by 30 participants each in both groups and a pre and post analysis was been done. Results clearly show an increase in level of well being in both the groups but for adolescents it was much higher.

According to the report, Aging in the 21st Century: A Celebration and a Challenge submitted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and HelpAge International (October 2012), 80% of the world's older people will live in developing countries. It is important to note that in 2010 there were 23 aged economies; by 2040 there will be 89. The report further points out that over 1/3 of world's older persons will live in China and India, and India will be the home to 1 out of every 6 of the world's older persons by 2050. The elderly form 8% of India's population. This translates to over a 100 million people above the age of 60 years. The 2001 Census highlighted the feminisation of the elderly population in India. For women, being female has meant a lifetime of discrimination at home and elsewhere which continues even in old age. Approximately 66% of elderly women are fully dependent on others; 32% do not own any assets of their own. The WHO report further points out that Aging is taking place alongside other broad social trends that will affect the lives of older people. Economies are globalizing, people are more likely to live in cities, and technology is evolving rapidly. Demographic and family changes mean there will be fewer older people with families to care for them. People today have fewer children, are less likely to be married, and are less likely to live with older generations. With declining support from families, society will need better information and tools to ensure the well-being of the world's growing number of older citizens. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to devise ways of taking care of the elderly citizens and situate the caregiving process in Indian context.
