The purified enzyme was homogeneous on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The band of enzyme was visible around 20 kDa on SDS-PAGE while around 80 kDa on Native-PAGE, showing its homotetrameric nature. The enzyme was optimally active at pH-6.0 and 50 °C temperature. It was fully stable at 50 °C for 2 h. The activity was strongly inhibited by Hg2+, Zn2+ and Co2+, while Mg2+ marginally enhanced the enzyme activity. The enzyme was able to hydrolyze the raw starches of potato, wheat, rice, maize, and Trapa natans, with the highest degree of saccharification of maize starch. The K m and V max values for this enzyme against boiled soluble starch were found 2.7 mg/mL and 2,100 U/mg of protein, respectively.

Energy management of microgrid refers to the optimal sizing and scheduling of the distributed energy resources to reduce the generation cost and pollutant emission. A recently developed crow search algorithm (CSA) is implemented to execute the optimization. The proposed CSA imitates the crows’ memory and tactics of hiding and chasing their food. Six renewable integrated microgrid test systems and a total of eighteen different cases are considered for this study. Various practical complexities such as valve point loading effect, combined economic–emission dispatch using price penalty factor method, modeling of the renewable energy sources and energy storage systems are taken into consideration for energy management of the microgrid systems. Results obtained are then compared to a number of different soft computing techniques such as genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization and the likes to justify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. A statistical analysis, viz. Wilcoxon signed-rank test, is performed to prove the superiority of the proposed approach over the various other optimization techniques used in the paper.

Ammon " s horn (the principle region of Alzheimer " s pathology) has been found to be involved in neuronal loss however the exact nature of neurogenesis is unknown. Insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF-1 are associated with an increased risk of developing AD) stimulates neurogenesis to produce major change in hippocampal plasticity and seems to be involved in Alzheimer " s pathology. Allopregnanolone, a neurosteroid, aids in continued neurogenesis in the brain. Levels of allopregnanolone in the brain decline in old age and Alzheimer " s disease Allopregnanolone acts by reversing neurogenesis impairment thus preventing cognitive deficitis of AD disease in various mouse models. Ephirin signaling pathway has been shown to regulate neurogenesis in the hippocampus and have been studied as potential target to treat some symptoms of AD. Molecule associated with the pathology of AD, including Apo lipoprotein (ApoE), presenilin genesPSI,PS2 and APP have also been found to impact adult neurogenesis in the hippocampus. Detection and diagnosis of AD is done by variety of neuro-psychatic and imaging techniques. Psychological, behavioral, cognitive, holistic and humanistic therapy approaches are used for its treatment.

Farmers cannot compare the characteristics of crop and the property the soil due to rain for the cultivation. The issue of cultivation of crop arises according to the rainfall in the area. Methods/ Statistical Analysis: In that case there is a need for effective analysis and suggestion is needed. Thereby it provides the spirit of encouragement and more profit in cultivation. This journal portrays the flood hazard mapping, crops and settlement vulnerability assessment in a low laying reverie flood prone area for different flood magnitudes. This system is used for analyzing the best crop that can be used by farmers, which need to be cultivated easily in given prone areas. The analysis of frequency has been carried out to determine the level of water for the years of different return periods flood. By using this system, it is able to develop a system to find the flooded region, and also the cultivation system which is adapted to the region based on the monsoon for the month in that year. Findings: Vulnerability functions of risk elements and flood hazard maps are analyzed based on the detail which is stored data in the database like region/state/Location, Month, Rainfall, Crop cultivation, based on the dataset user can find the flood areas and crop cultivation recommended in the location based on monsoon. Application/Improvements: This flood hazard vulnerability map can be used for selecting the typeof crops and area of cultivation during the monsoon period on the basis of magnitudes of inundation of different flood zones.

Keeping in view this idea, the crude aqueous extract of two medicinal plants were subjected to in vitro antimicrobial assay against human pathogenic Escherichia coli ,Pseudomonas putida (bacteria) and Malassezia furfur (fungus) by employing disc diffusion method. The zones of inhibition, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) were also determined. Among the plants tested Oscimum sanctum (Tulsi) was found to be the most effec tive against fungal strain in comparison to bacterial strain. Trigonella foenum graecum (Methi) extract showed maximum effect on E. coli. Trigonella and Oscimum both were found ineffective against Pseudomonas putida . Largest zone of inhibition (12 mm) is obtained with M. furfur at 100% conc. when treated with tulsi. In case of methi, largest zone of inhibition (14mm) is obtained with E. coli at 50% conc. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) value of 5 mg/ml was...

The mutated strain M40 showed a higher antagonistic activity than wild strain of B. subtillus against the plant pathogens Erwinia carotovora var. carotovora. The mutated strain was inoculated in three different liquid culture media CPG, CPM, CPMCa ++ to study the level of production of inhibitory substances & CPMCa ++ was found best culture medium against plant pathogens. The antagonistic strain M40 was more active than wild strain and obtained metabolite was thermostable, protease resistance and classified as producer of antibiotic of metabolite group.
