They are key issues for reconciliation and strengthening democracy in South Eastern Europe (SEE). Hence, the work in this sphere can help ensure long-term stability to the region. The article explains about spread and activities of the History project in SEE region giving the history teaching theoretical framework concerning the heritage, the challenges and the modern interactive history teaching methodology. The second part of the article focuses on the Oral history methodology as a resource of present education and its possible usage in primary and secondary school education.

As such it involves dealing with different contexts, different authorities, and different cultures. The distance and absence of a constant place are among the main issues that multi-living people face. Space and territory, in their interrelation, are essential components of everyday life for all social actors. Territory is a multidimensional notion that needs to be considered in all its meanings: an existential one (life cycles and living experiences), a physical one (frame: it gives the boundary, the definition) and an organisational one (society, public policies, etc.). Therefore, it includes different elements: a) political and administrative, b) economic, c) social (social capital, networking between actors, etc.), and d) geographical and cognitive aspects (symbolic/identity/imagined community). In its social scope, as far as human society is concerned, territoriality is a concept mainly used in planning, architecture, and urbanism, in geography, anthropology and sociology, as well as in law and political science. To a lesser extent, it is applied in other social sciences, such as economics or history. Linked with territory, its meanings range in each of these disciplines and each language. Therefore, we can think of national territories’ territorialities and local authorities or consider the appropriation of space and places.
The present collection results from the international conference “Territorialities of Multilocality,” held on November 25th and 26th, 2021, in Sofia, Bulgaria. At our scholar meeting, we tried to analyse multilocal and multi-territorial practices, their regional and local concreteness differences, and the specifics of an unusual situation of two or more residences instead of one.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic challenges, new fields of study are intertwining and emerging to explore the causes, responses, prevention, coping, and consequences of this worldwide infectious disease affecting all sectors of society at global, regional, and local scales. Analytical frameworks and solutions are inquired through interdisciplinary approaches researching past and present impacts of similar sociocultural, economic, and political phenomena. These efforts contribute to the new anthropological subfield – the Anthropology of pandemics and seek to understand how people experience and respond to pandemics in general and this particular one, but also how pandemics shape society and culture, and how they reveal social and cultural inequalities in our world. As a result of researchers’ joint efforts, people’s beliefs, values, and practices, forming their understanding of disease and their response to it, have been examined. This collection is the result of the International Conference ‘Between the Worlds: Narratives and Notions of Pandemics’ held on 7 and 8 June 2022 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The editors of the volume consider it a serious challenge to integrate and organise together so many different texts, methodological approaches, and the opinions of 24 scholars – philosophers, psychologists, historians, ethnologists, anthropologists, and economists from different schools and scientific traditions.

The new e-collection ‘Between the Worlds: Magic, Miracles, and Mysticism’ presents a variety of viewpoints and analytical perspectives related to magical and mystical perceptions, experiences, views, beliefs, and practices in different historical periods – from Antiquity and the Middle Ages, to Modernity and the contemporary globalised world. The articles are focused on the individual and communal magical rituals, the wonders of nature, sacred places, icons, and cultural monuments, which continue to gather many believers each year in different parts of the world. The analysed magical and mystical practices testify to the fact that people still want to know the unknown and touch what cannot be seen. Thus, the created contact spaces between humans and supernatural forces bring different social and cultural aspects to the fore and in this way directly influence the identification strategies of the communities. As a result, magical and mystical perceptions, experiences, views, beliefs, and practices are becoming more visible today.
