In this paper, the description of the process of creation of learning content is addressed. A group of students in the first year of an engineering degree collaboratively constructs a blog that covers the real-life applications of the physical concepts that are studied. We identify the characteristics that define meaningful learning during the development of the task and analyze the advantages and problems related to the use of Web 2.0 applications and Internet as learning tools.

Specifically, the main goal is to define a Code of Good Teaching Practices based on quality criteria. The work is being developed for a two-year period. The teachers involved have become more motivated in their

However, teaching EMC concepts faces several difficulties like the fact that several subjects are concerned with it, the lack of time for it or the troubles to realize the effect of interferences. After reviewing the main textbooks and literature, the authors have believed desirable to complete the teaching material with a list of practical cases. In this way, the authors want to improve the efficiency of the teaching-learning process and to show real world problems, identifying the most important EMC concepts that can be left out of engineering curricula. The proposed cases show interference effects on professional equipment or on prototypes of electronic systems but always focusing in practice and with minimal mathematics. Each case is accompanied by questions for students and comments on the way to overcome the problems. The document has been released under an open license...

This field is rather limited when the beam lies on the recording plane but much bigger when it lies outside the recording plane. For the second case, following Syms' work (1985 Opt. Acta 32 1413-25), a simple form of the coupled-wave theory is

Polarization and intensity holographic gratings have been recorded by irradiation of the films with blue incoherent light and simultaneous or subsequent illumination with the red light pattern generated by the interference of two properly polarized beams from a He-Ne laser. The influence of temperature

This universality is a consequence of the analytic properties of the ...
