Background: Hospital Information System (HIS) is implemented to provide high-quality patient care. The aim of this study is to identify significant dimensional factors that influence the hospital decision in adopting the HIS.Methods: This study designs the initial integrated model by taking the three main dimensions in adopting HIS technology. Accordingly, DEMATEL was utilized to test the strength of interdependencies among the dimensions and variables. Then ANP approach is adapted to determining how the factors are weighted and prioritized by professionals and main users working in the Iranian public hospitals, involved with the HIS system. Results: The results indicated that “Perceived Technical Competence” is a key factor in the Human dimension. The respondents also believed that “Relative Advantage," “Compatibility” and “Security Concern” of Technology dimension should be further assessed in relation to other factors. With respect to Organization dimension, “Top Management S...

Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, most commonly caused by a viral infection. Supervised data mining techniques have been successful in hepatitis disease diagnosis through a set of datasets. Many methods have been developed by the aids of data mining techniques for hepatitis disease diagnosis. The majority of these methods are developed by single learning techniques. In addition, these methods do not support the ensemble learning of the data. Combining the outputs of several predictors can result in improved accuracy in classification problems. This study aims to propose an accurate method for the hepatitis disease diagnosis by taking the advantages of ensemble learning. We use Non-linear Iterative Partial Least Squares to perform the data dimensionality reduction, Self-Organizing Map technique for clustering task and ensembles of Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System for predicting the hepatitis disease. We also use decision trees for the selection of most important features in the ...

Diagnosis as the initial step of medical practice, is one of the most important parts of complicated clinical decision making which is usually accompanied with the degree of ambiguity and uncertainty. Since uncertainty is the inseparable nature of medicine, fuzzy logic methods have been used as one of the best methods to decrease this ambiguity. Recently, several kinds of literature have been published related to fuzzy logic methods in a wide range of medical aspects in terms of diagnosis. However, in this context there are a few review articles that have been published which belong to almost ten years ago. Hence, we conducted a systematic review to determine the contribution of utilizing fuzzy logic methods in disease diagnosis in different medical practices. Eight scientific databases are selected as an appropriate database and Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method was employed as the basis method for conducting this systematic and meta...

Golden pigments are among the most common colourants used in Persian illuminated manuscripts. In this research, golden pigments were investigated in three eighteenth- to nineteenth-century manuscripts. Initially, scanning electron microscopy–energy dispersive spectrometry analyses showed that different kinds of metallic pigments were present and some of them were ternary alloys made up of copper, zinc and tin, hence copper-based alloys were ascertained as cheap alternatives to gold. Discolouration of the pigment was observable through alteration of the metallic pigments to greenish residues in the manuscripts. Subsequently, the greenish products in the golden pigments were studied by Raman spectroscopy. Copper carboxylates were recognized as degradation products. We inferred that the alteration is a consequence of the interaction between copper alloy pigments and carboxylic acids in conditions of high humidity. Moreover, more progressive degradation has caused the discolouration, br...

The Proxy Mobile IPv6 or the PMIPv6 is a protocol for mobile management as established by the Internet Engineering Task Force or IETF to assist in the intense usage of mobile devices and to lower the overhead of signaling. As the inclusion of the mobile node in the signaling related to mobility is not necessary, this type of solutions based on networks optimize the performance of the handover based on signaling overhead and handover latency. Nevertheless, the PMIPv6 has several disadvantages such as issues of privacy and security. The process of authentication of users is usually needed at the time of connecting to a wireless network. The mobile users might wander away from their home networks and be approached by other network services. These network services would usually require the users’ credentials to authorize the usage of the service. In order to retain a level of anonymity, various degrees of information are required to be safe guarded including the Local Mobility Anchor ID...
