Abstract: This text is an approach to the complex process that begins with the archaeological research and culminates in making the new knowledge available to the public. In this case, the subject is the Iberian societies of the 6 th to the 1 st centuries BCE. We propose a new way of looking at the Museo de Jaen collections, on this occasion demonstrating that the discourse on archaeological remains is not unique and invariable, but offers great riches and multiple readings. Our interest focuses on manifesting and raising awareness of the female agency in Iberian societies through, in this case, their ritual practices. As such, we build a discourse that favours the communication of our past in a way that is fairer and closer to reality, distanced from the great deeds recorded in the traditional discourses and fostering education in equality.
