The assemblage is analysed from the metrological, typological, and stylistic perspective and set into the context of other bronze figurines discovered earlier at the site or elsewhere in Middle La Tène Central Europe. Typologically and stylistically, the assemblage is consistent with the small-scale statuary characteristic of the cultural area around the centres of Němčice, Roseldorf, and Nowa Cerekwia. Similar finds are rarely discovered outside this zone. The entire typolog ical category and stylistic group seems to have disappeared with the decline of these centres. We therefore argue that the small-scale bronze statuary of the Němčice type co-defines the Němčice-Roseldorf phenomenon in the same way as the more famous and certainly more important coinage and production of glass ornaments. Their processing does not meet current requirements as there has been no comprehensive presentation consisting of exhaustive documentation of individual objects and sites and their subsequent evaluation, complemented as far as possible by scientific analyses; only this can provide the academic community with the starting point for a further, deeper study of this rich find assemblage. e previous activities of the author of this paper gradually crystallized into the intention to collect and re-publish the material from Moravian Celtic cemeteries, which it has so far been possible to gradually achieve; one small step on this path is mapping the development of research in this field, including a summary of the current state of knowledge.

Znojmo, graves from the La Tène Period and Migration Period, secondarily deposited in older barrows, were discovered besides those from the Bronze Age. Six graves may date to the La Tène Period; however, well dated material was preserved only in three of them. The assemblages date to stage LT B1. The most interesting find is the bronze wire neck ring with mostly glass beads threaded on it.

According to find context, they were part of female grave goods in stage LT B2. The rare occurrence of these items can be widened – with a certain precaution – with fragmentary finds obtained during detector survey. These armrings are a special type of ornament without parallels in Europe. They may be related to the characteristic wearing of two identical armrings on one arm that has been observed in female graves in south-western Slovakia.

In that period, a change of burial rite evidently occurred from the inhumation to incineration; cremated burials are known in a very small number due to bad preservation. Finds from the Býčí skála cave with a number of items of foreign origin represent an exceptional complex in this Late Hallstatt milieu. Now, four other hoards can be added to this until now isolated collection – those from Pavlovice (distr. Vyškov), Brusné (distr. Kroměříž), Loučka and Provodov (both distr.
