However, advocates participating in these studies have also emphasized the positive impact they experience consequent to their work. This study explores the positive impact. Vicarious resilience, personal trauma experiences, peer relational quality, and perceived organizational support in advocates (n = 222) are examined. Also, overlap among the conceptual components of vicarious resilience is explored. The first set of multiple regressions showed that personal trauma experiences and peer relational health predicted compassion satisfaction and vicarious posttraumatic growth, with organizational support predicting only compassion satisfaction. The second set of multiple regressions showed that (a) there was significant shared variance between vicarious posttra...

Results from this exploratory study revealed that principals reported overall satisfaction with counseling services, although satisfaction varied across levels (elementary, middle school/junior high, high school) and service area. Suggestions are offered by principals for improving counseling services. Implications for school counselor training, opportunities for collaborative school counselor-principal partnerships, and the need for additional research are also presented.

All predictors, Including interactions, were significant but showed different relationships for the 2 groups. The mean frequency of help resource utilization was significantly higher for South Asians.

A hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to examine whether gender self-confidence, relational quality, feminist perspectives, and traditional mothering values predict fertility-related distress. Analyses revealed that higher traditional mothering values and lower relational quality predicted higher levels of fertility-related distress. Younger age and lower income also predicted higher distress. Placing women's reproductive struggles in a sociocultural context may help to increase women's sense of agency and authenticity in negotiating their own perceptions of motherhood as they make reproductive decisions.

However, advocates participating in these studies have also emphasized the positive impact they experience consequent to their work. This study explores the positive impact. Method: Vicarious resilience, personal trauma experiences, peer relational quality, and perceived organizational support in advocates (n ϭ 222) are examined. Also, overlap among the conceptual components of vicarious resilience is explored. Results: The first set of multiple regressions showed that personal trauma experiences and peer relational health predicted compassion satisfaction and vicarious posttraumatic growth, with organizational support predicting only compassion satisfaction. The second set of multiple regressions showed that (a) there was significant shared variance between vicarious posttraumatic growth and compassion satisfaction; (b) after accounting for vicarious posttraumatic growth, organizational support accounted for significant variance in compassion satisfaction; and (c) after accounting for compassion satisfaction, peer relational health accounted for significant variance in vicarious posttraumatic growth. Conclusions: Results suggest that it may be more meaningful to conceptualize advocates' personal growth related to their work through the lens of a multidimensional construct such as vicarious resilience. Organizational strategies promoting vicarious resilience (e.g., shared organizational power, training components) are offered, and the value to trauma-informed care of fostering advocates' vicarious resilience is discussed.

Overall, results supported the hypotheses. Gender moderated the associations among variables, notably between mutuality and individual affective experiences of same-sex friendships. Implications for counselors serving college student populations are discussed.

The CEC was specifically designed for use in a counseling training clinic, although its broader applicability is also emphasized. Challenges unique to measuring outcome in a training clinic are presented, and the usefulness of the CEC in addressing these challenges is discussed. Results indicated a 3-factor structure and provided support for the reliability and validity of the CEC with a sample of clients from the community who were receiving services at a university-operated counseling training clinic.
