Crime an Puinishment (Roushie: Преступле́ние и наказа́ние, romanised: Prestupleniye i nakazaniye, lit. 'prʲɪstʊˈplʲenʲɪɪ ɪ nəkɐˈzanʲɪɪ') is a novelle bi the Roushie author Fyodor Dostoevsky. It wis first published in the leeterar jurnal The Roushie Messenger in twal monthly installments during 1866.[1] It wis later published in a single volume. It is the seicont o Dostoyevsky's full-lenth novelles follaein his return frae 10 years o exile in Siberie. Crime an Punishment is considered the first great novelle o his "matur" period o writin.[2]
