The aim of this study was to evaluate the addiction effects of morphine and its derivatives on rats spermatogenesis. 40 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 equal groups, which were exposed either with intravenous morphine, naloxone, naloxone and morphine, sham (with normal saline injection) and a control group without infusion. Spermatogenesis was assessed after three months via histological sections with hematoxylin and eosin staining, using a light microscope based on measurement of spermatogonia, spermatocyte, spermatid, and spermatozoa. Those rats that received opioids had changes in spermatogenesis function. ABSTRACT A constitutive model for simulation of the behavior of unsaturated interfaces is present... more ABSTRACT A constitutive model for simulation of the behavior of unsaturated interfaces is presented here. The model is an extension of an existing critical state compatible interface model for dry and saturated interfaces that was already proposed by one of the authors [Lashkari, A. 2013. Int. J. Numer. Anal. Meth. Geomech. 37(8): 904–931]. For a proper simulation of the behavior of partially saturated interfaces, the extended model is formulated in terms of two pairs of work conjugate stress–strain-like variables. The modified model simulations are compared with the existing data of dry, unsaturated, and saturated interfaces. For each interface type, it is shown that the proposed model can capture the essential elements of the behavior using a unique set of parameters.
