Dark of the Moon novel
After getting a tip off, Colonel Lennox and Willis went to Pripyat where they met with Alexi Voskhod. They were led by Yuri into Chernobyl where they found a fuel rod which had originated from the Ark. While they were still puzzling over it, the ground started shaking and Willis reported a massive energon reading coming up from below. It turned out to be the Driller, which proceeded to attack them.
