Christophe PERRIN
Christophe Perrin is a former postdoctoral researcher of the Belgian National Funds for Scientific Research (FNRS) at the Catholic University of Louvain, where he is today scientific collaborator. After a PhD at Paris-Sorbonne University under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Luc Marion on the meanings of Descartes’ thought in Heidegger’s work, after fellowships from the Thiers Foundation (France), the European Commission (Belgium) and the France-Stanford Center (USA), he is teaching full time and still works in phenomenology and metaphysics. Now philosophy instructor in France and lecturer in some European Universities, he was visiting scholar at Stanford University (spring-summer, 2015), guest lecturer at Kyoto University and Aoyama Gakuin University, Tokyo (spring, 2016) and guest professor at Charles University in Prague (spring 2017). In 2018, he is elected guest professor for two years at the University of Brasilia but must renounce this high honor for family reasons. For the first time in 2020, he participates in the "Mardis de la Philo" in Paris and in the "Matins Phi" in Brussels in 2021, after having passed an accreditation to direct research (HDR) at Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 University. He now devotes himself to writing a few books on general philosophy. On a proposal from the Académie française, the Institut de France awarded to him the François-Victor Noury Prize in June 2021.
