It brings insight into the function of these grave goods not only through the assessment of the spatial relationship of pottery and human remains but also the combination of individual vessel types. Usage of microtopography method, combines the spatial and qualitative attributes
of individual vessels. On the example of the cemetery in Malé Kosihy, we present the advantages and pitfalls of this method as well as possible interpretative levels. At the end of the paper, the presented procedure is confronted with other approaches to the interpretation of the function of vessels in the grave inventory.

The presented paper deals with the analysis of the burial rite at the burial ground near Bučany, which was used from the late Hallstatt till the Early La Tène period. The main aim
is to highlight certain aspects of the burial rite, which appears in inhumation as well as in cremation graves and confront the findings with a similar situation in the Middle Danube area. For these purposes the
analysis works with elements such as treatment remains, placing and functional combinations of grave goods, dimensions and space modification of graves. On the burial ground were found 36 graves of which 4 were cremation graves. When evaluating the main findings, the significant appearance of women graves in particular, as opposed to the warriors’ graves should be mentioned. Just in this group we can observe
the greatest variability of the funeral ritual. By comparison of burial rite between cremation and inhumation graves some parallels appear in the way how mourners deposited interments in relation to cadavers
and form of grave arrangement.

This contribution deals with the forms which archaeology can use to study the burial rites of the past societies. It presents a hypothesis defining the hierarchic procedure of the analysis and defining individual levels of the burial rite and adequate methods. This universal procedure can be defined as linked analytical process. It includes a scale of relevant expert opinions on the given topic as well as a methodological sequence defining the order and types of individual procedures corresponding with submitted conditions.

Even though it was discovery of pionieering archaeology our re-evaluation brings a new look at the old facts. The work reassesses the significance of movable finds but mainly burial rite elements, that reveal parts of the society of the Tumulus Bronze Age. It is not just a form body treatment and specific interments, but especially a unique grave stone structure that raises legitimate questions. In addition to the historical illustrations, the paper presents a probable 3D reconstruction of the find situation and submit possible interpretations.

for the study of modern-age stove tile production. In this article we focus on an ideal reconstruction of a tile
stove that may have been located in the upper castle. Although the castle has not yielded finds of completely
preserved tile stoves, there are two concentrations of stove tiles from the upper castle which can be use for
the reconstruction. Through a detailed analysis of the stove one tile series and the subsequent use of modern
3D technologies we reconstructed the possible form of a tile stove. In this study, 3D technologies present an
analytical tool employed to answer questions concerning the design of the tile stove, its dimensions and use
in heating the palace.

The paper presents a case study from the research of the High Medieval Peťuša Castle (Zvolen District) in Central Slovakia. Its aim is to present documentation and analytical procedures based on the application of 3D techniques in archaeology. During the archaeological excavation of the Peťuša Castle, several methods were used to document the castle hill, archaeological contexts and artefacts. The aim of the paper is to reference the possibilities of 3D visualization, which serves not only as an interesting presentation of archaeological results to the general public, but also for the work of the archaeologists themselves. The primary goal is to use 3D technology in the analysis and subsequent interpretation in a way that is not common in archaeological procedures. These methods are applied in the interpretation of the architecture of the castle, walking ground level and the surrounding environment. The main
contribution is the clarification of spatial relations, visualization of the examined structures, and the opening of polemics within the interpretation levels.

One of them represents archaeological research of the La Tène settlement with 38 archaeological features situated in the Záhrady site, located southeast of the urban area of Bratislava in the city part Devín. The article is evaluated the burial context in feature no. 74, which represents a common La Tène dwelling, where skeletal remains of a man were found. It aims to reconstruct several aspects connected to properties, existence, destruction, and secondary usage through the method of inverse transformation. Based on interim results, are created hypotheses focusing on the interpretation of such behaviour. Can we join these activities with intramural burial or its only proof of disposal of the dead? Interpretation goes further when taking in count presents of the charcoal layer, which may indicate more deep activities connected with cremation rituals. Those questions are discussed in the context of central European archaeology and the need for rethinking some old conclusions is emerged.
