En el proyecto Aurelia Immortal, desarrollado en forma de libro y exposición, Javier Viver reflex... more En el proyecto Aurelia Immortal, desarrollado en forma de libro y exposición, Javier Viver reflexiona sobre la aurelia aurita, un tipo de medusa que tiene la sorprendente capacidad de regenerarse una vez acabado su ciclo vital. Tras una larga documentación, Viver presenta un relato de ficción en el que entra en diálogo con las teorías transhumanistas, que plantean la prolongación ilimitada de la vida humana a través de la teconología. Al mismo tiempo, el artista invita al espectador a plantearse las consecuencias de la aplicación de dichas teorías: ¿Qué ocurriría si el ser humano fuera inmortal? ¿Seguiría existiendo el arte?
Confluencias es la respuesta interdisciplinar a la interpelación del artista. Profesores universitarios reflexionan sobre la búsqueda de la inmortalidad desde puntos de vista muy distintos, como la estética, la literatura, la medicina o la ética.

Las autoras son dos poetas que lucharon por hacer oír su voz en una época que no escuchaba a las mujeres. Y lo consiguieron. Carmen Conde fue la primera mujer que ingresó en la Real Academia Española, en 1978. Ernestina de Champourcin, una de las tres mujeres admitidas en la Antología de Gerardo Diego –por tanto, miembro de la generación del 27– y la única que siguió publicando poesía hasta el final de su vida. Debido a la categoría intelectual de sus protagonistas, el presente Epistolario tiene un doble valor: histórico, pues nos cuenta desde el punto de vista femenino sucesos de la vida cotidiana, cultural y social –especialmente desde 1927 hasta 1932–, y literario, ya que desde los primeros meses de la correspondencia las cartas van aumentando su tono lírico hasta constituir en ocasiones verdaderos poemas en prosa.

Las obras tratadas son Cómo se hace una novela, de Miguel de Unamuno; La intuición y el estilo, de Pío Baroja; El escritor, de Azorín y La lámpara maravillosa, de Valle-Inclán. Tras una primera contextualización genérica, el trabajo se articula alrededor de los conceptos de temporalidad, identidad y ficción. Concluye afirmando la indiscutible modernidad de estos autores, que sentaron las bases de la narrativa contemporánea española.

Estudio de literatura comparada que analiza las relaciones que se produjeron entre el surrealismo... more Estudio de literatura comparada que analiza las relaciones que se produjeron entre el surrealismo francés y español, centrándose en concreto en las obras surrealistas de Vicente Aleixandre. Se analizan aspectos como la recepción de las vanguardias en España, la antropología surrealista, la expresión estética de lo irracional, la influencia del Manifiesto del surrealismo o la trayectoria poética de Vicente Aleixandre antes de la guerra civil.

Partiendo del vago consenso existente acerca de la datación de aquella crisis histórica, se pasa revista al desarrollo de ciertos aspectos de la literatura hispánica entre aquella fecha y el presente, incluyendo, como es natural, el propio 98. El énfasis recae, pues, en los contrapuntos, lo historiográfico; en el “hacerse” de la historia literaria. Interesa subrayar todos los contrastes –de tratamiento, de recepción, temáticos, historiográficos– que una mirada actual y atenta es capaz de descubrir en alguna faceta de la literatura hispánica de los últimos cien años. De ahí el subtítulo del volumen monográfico: "Literatura e historia literaria en e! siglo XX hispánico".
