Sea urchin is echinoderm that body surface is covered with the spines. Sea urchin gonad has been consumed along time by the people at Wakatobi Archipelago. Sea urhin species is worried will be degraded. On the other hand, there is no study on species composition, density, size and maturity stage of sea urchins on Tolandono Island and Sawa Island, Wakatobi Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the species composition, abundance, size and maturity level of sea urchin gonads. Sea urchin density was calculated with a 10 × 10 m transect quadrate. The data was analyzed by descriptive qualitatively. The results showed that in Tolandono Island and Sawa Island there were 4 types of sea urchins, namely Tripneustes gratila, Echinotrix calamaris, Diadema setosum and Echinoemetra sp. The size of urchin Tripneustes gratilla is ranging between 2.5 cm and 8.5 cm with the density 2 Ind./100 m2. Meanwhile, the gonad maturation stage (TKG) of Tripneustes gratila is at a 4.8 cm and spawned at a size 8–8.5 cm. TKG I is in the size range of 4.8–5 cm, TKG II is at 5.9–6.2 cm, TKG III is 6.4–6.6 cm, TKG IV is 6.8–7.5 cm and TKG IV is 6.8–7.5 cm. V in size 8.5 cm.

Sea urchin is an abundant fisheries resources in Pisou Village, Pagimana District, Central Sulawesi. This abundance is caused by the high productivity of sea urchins and the lack of utilization by the local community. The high density of sea urchins causes the poor quality of gonad and  taste. This is mainly caused by the insufficient availability of food in the nature that can be only improved by aquaculture. This community empowerment was conducted in the Pisou Village for 5 weeks from February-March 2020. The aim of this program is to cultivate sea urchins in improving the quality of sea urchin gonad by aquaculture. Another goal is to educate the local fishers on how to culture and utilized the gonad a seafood and crackers. The result of this activity is the availability of floating net cages at Desa Pisou Village that can be used for sea urchin cultivation.

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran di era pandemi covid-19 membuat guru memaksimalkan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT. Untuk itu dibutuhkan berbagai upaya dalam pembelajaran termasuk penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT agar memudahkan guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan dan memaksimalkan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT sehingga perlu adanya pelatihan dalam membuat dan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT kepada guru. Pelatihan pembuatan dan penggunaan google sites sebagai media pembelajaran dilaksanakan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Boalemo Kabupaten Boalemo Provinsi Gorontalo pada hari kamis, 09 Juli 2020. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru tingkat Madrasah Aliyah se-kabupaten Boalemo melalui penggunaan Google Sites sebagai media pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan pelatihan ini terdiri atas 2 tahapan yaitu pertama penyampaian materi mengenai pembuatan dan penggunaan google sites sebagai media pembelajaran dan kedua praktek langsung membuat dan menggunakan google sites sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab dan eksperimen. Pelatihan ini diikuti dengan antusiasme dari peserta yang diikuti oleh 35 orang guru tingkat Madrasah Aliyah se-kabupaten Boalemo. Pelatihan ini menambah pengetahuan dan kompetensi serta skill peserta dalam membuat dan menggunakan google sites sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstrak Landak laut (sea urchin) merupakan salah satu produk sumber daya perikanan penting karena telurnya memiliki nilai ekonomis dan gizi yang baik untuk kesehatan. Desa Kotajin merupakan wilayah pesisir di Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara yang memiliki potensi yang cukup besar terhadap perikanan landak laut. Sayangnya, potensi tersebut belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik karena minimnya informasi dan pengetahuan tentang pengolahan telur landak laut menjadi penganan. Sejalan dengan itu, pemerintah lokal terus mengupayakan dan menghadirkan diversifikasi dari penganan baru yang bergizi dan bernilai ekonomis tinggi untuk mendorong peningkatan gizi dan perekonomian (pendapatan) masyarakat pesisir. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Kotajin pada tanggal 26-27 April 2019. This work (community empowerment) was conducted at Desa Kotajin on April 26-27 th , 2019. The purpose of this work is to educate the coastal society at Desa Kotajin on how to create meatball from the gonad of sea urchin. The results of this work are meatballs of sea urchins that can be consumed and marketed to the local consumers.

Permasalahan yang ada saat ini adalah masih banyak orang yang belum memahami cara pengutipan dan penulisan referensi APA style dengan menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley. Atas dasar tersebut, kami melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan ini untuk mereka yang memiliki kendala penulisan referensi APA style dan penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley. Tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan informasi dan skill kepada peserta mengenai cara penulisan sitasi dan referensi jurnal sesuai format APA style menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu, 27 Juni 2020 dengan melibatkan 95 secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom Cloud Meeting. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dibagi menjadi 3 tahapan yaitu tahap registrasi peserta, tahap edukasi, dan tahap praktik. Adapun hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta mendapatkan informasi dan pengetahuan tentang cara penulisan sitasi dan daftar pustaka sesuai format APA style. Selain itu, peserta juga memperoleh skill cara membuka akun dan mengoperasikan software Mendeley di Word Microsoft Office. Due to that reason, we perform this empowerment to those who interested to learn APA style format in citation and references, including how to use it in Mendeley. This work was conducted on Saturday, June 27 th , 2020, with 95 participants by using the Zoom Cloud Meeting. The method of this activity was divided into three phases; registration, transfer knowledge, and exercise. The results of this work show that all of the participants get enough information and knowledge on how to cite and write references in APA style format. Including how to operate the software management of citation by using a Mendeley Application. Besides that, participants also have got skills in how to create Mendeley's account and how to operate the Mendeley in Microsoft Office Word.

Sea urchin is one of the fisheries resources products where its gonad can be consumed either in fresh or processed. Unfortunately, sea urchin has not been consumed due to society suspicion that may cause death if sea urchin gonad consumed. Thereby, we need to educate the society by instructing them in a participatory way on how to consume and cultivate sea urchin cultivation with a floating net cage. This work was conducted at Desa Lambangan Office (February 2020-March 2020) by involving 25 fishermen and 30 students from Gorontalo State University as the fellows of the society. The results of the counseling and practicing that conducted at desa Lambangan had been switched the paradigm of society that was formerly assuming sea urchin as a marine organism that has toxicity to be an organism that could be consumed and traded. Furthermore, the fishermen have overcome and able to handle how to build a floating net cage for the cultivation of sea urchins that they have learned in simulation on how to make floating net cage of sea urchins.

Landak laut Diadema setosum merupakan salah satu biota laut ekonomis dan dikonsumsi secara luas di Pulau Taliabu, Kabupaten Taliabu, Maluku Utara. Telur landak laut Diadema setosum ini telah secara luas dikonsumsi terutama secara segar (mentah) maupun olahan berupa kukure. Pemanfaatan telur landak laut D. setosum di Pulau Taliabu masih dilakukan secara rekreasi dan tradisional dengan menggunakan alat tangkap seadanya seperti parang dan karinda. Penggunaan alat tangkap ini masih digunakan sampai sekarang, karena dianggap lebih efektif. Meskipun penangkapan telur landak laut D. setosum sudah dilakukan sejak lama. Namun, sumber daya landak laut D. setosum masih melimpah dan tidak mengalami overfishing.

The blue-black urchin has been widely known and utilized as food in the world, including Indonesia because sea urchin gonad can be consumed. However, the utilization of sea urchins in Gorontalo has not been performed. On the other hand, natural resources information is needed as the database for natural resources management in Tomini Bay. The aim of this study is to document the blue-black urchin Echinotrix diadema. This study conducted at Blue Marlin Beach, South Leato, Gorontalo, from November 2019 to December 2020. Sea urchin density was calculated with a 1 m × 1 m transect quadrate that positioned at interval 5 m in distance along 15 m of the transect line at the coral reef ecosystem. In parallel with the measurement of the density, sea urchin test diameter was measured with a Vernier caliper (0.01 mm accuracy), and the water temperature was measured with a thermometer. The results show that the average of sea urchin density is 3 ind. m–2 in November and December and 1 ind.m–2 in January. That density has no significant difference among the month. Moreover, the average size of the sea urchin test diameter is 60 mm in November, 63 mm in December, and 66 mm in January. The seawater temperature is 34 °C in November, 37 °C in December, and 33 °C in January. That results show that sea urchin density in the blue marlin beach is very low.

Sea urchin Tripneustes gratilla is one of an economically important fisheries resource product for localities at Wakatobi archipelago. High demands for sea urchin gonad have intensified high fishing activity. The hypothesis of this study is that sea urchins in Wakatobi have been overfished. To answer that hypothesis, the density and its test diameter size were measured at two different sites. Those two sites are Pulau Tomia (resident area) and Pulau Sawa (nonresident area and very distant from the localities). The results show that sea urchin density and its test diameter are significantly different. The densities (mean±SE) T. gratilla at Pulau Sawa and Pulau Tomia were 10±0.6 (ind.m-2) and 2.7±0.9 ind.m-2 , respectively. Moreover, the test diameter at Pulau Sawa and Pulau Tomia were 69.7±2.1 mm and 58.5±1.7 mm (mean±SE), respectively. These results have shown that overfishing has occurred. Therefore, sea urchin with test diameter 66-75 mm, 76-85 mm, and 86-95 mm have disappeared at Pulau Tomia. The Conclusion reveals that fishing of sea urchin Tripneustes gratilla at Pulau Tomia has been overfished.
