Architecture carries in her signs, which by their symbolism, they announce ideas, pictures and even stories, that implicate actions on the mind of the man. Sacred architecture takes so the role of an activity of creative expression of the individual, guided by its spiritual conscience, she is holder of symbolism, churches and cathedrals informed the often illiterate believers by telling by sculptures, painting and stained glass windows, the stories of religion.
The man throughout the history had the will to represent spatially the divine force. The architecture of several sacred buildings (temple, church, mosque...) shows that these builders have sought to build an ideal place to contain them and to separate themselves from the profane world. An orientated spiritual place, charged with symbols (pictures and signification) interpreted by the believer (receiver), these religious buildings are conceivedas the analogical reduction of the cosmos with highly symbolic forms: orientation and geometry (circle and square) , the proportions of the planes and the façades, the cupolas and arches, the ornaments and colors, and the ingenious use of natural light, the aim of which is to shine the sacred spacenot to enlighten it.
