Bezugnehmend auf neuere Arbeiten zur Soziologie der Moral analysiert der Beitrag eine Auseinander... more Bezugnehmend auf neuere Arbeiten zur Soziologie der Moral analysiert der Beitrag eine Auseinandersetzung zwischen staatlichen und zivilgesellschaftlichen AkteurInnen (Stadtverwaltung/LokalpolitikerInnen und Anwohnendeninitiative) um den Neubau einer Anschlussunterbringung für Geflüchtete. Von zentraler Bedeutung ist dabei die Zuschreibung von Verantwortlichkeit sowie die Annahme eines exzeptionellen moralischen Status des Staates. In dem Konflikt findet sich die Bezugnahme auf zwei moral metagoods: Verhaltensregeln mit den Topoi Anstand und Fairness sowie die Anwaltschaft für die Sprachlosen mit dem Topos Altruismus. Die Moralisierung des Konflikts führt dabei nicht zu einer Klärung desselben oder zu einem ›besseren Leben‹, sondern bewirkt vielmehr eine Eskalation des Konflikts.

Die reflexive Wende der Migrationsforschung führt, ansetzend an den Kritiken des methodologischen... more Die reflexive Wende der Migrationsforschung führt, ansetzend an den Kritiken des methodologischen Nationalismus (Wimmer/Glick Schiller 2003) und des Paradigmas kultureller Differenz (Sökefeld 2007), zu einer Dezentrierungsbewegung. In ihrer Folge wird Migration als ordnungsgenerierender Teil größerer, teilweise grenzüberschreitender sozialer Zusammenhänge verstanden, innerhalb derer die Bedeutung des Migrationsmerkmals variiert. Reflexivität entsteht durch ein gesteigertes Kontingenzbewusstsein hinsichtlich der theoretisch-methodologischen Perspektiven, die von der Migrationsforschung eingenommen werden. Sie ermöglicht ein Verständnis der Wissens-und Machtzusammenhänge durch die Migration als Phänomen in Erscheinung tritt. Die reflexive Wende in der Migrationsforschung In der Migrationsforschung, die zuletzt durch den ‚langen Sommer der Migration' (Hess et al. 2017) einen Aufschwung in Deutschland erfahren hat, zeigt sich immer deutlicher eine schon seit den 1990er Jahren vollziehende Vervielfältigung von Forschungsansätzen. Diese Pluralität regt zu Auseinandersetzungen darüber an, was spezifische Perspektiven zu leisten vermögen und wo ihre Begrenzungen liegen. Dabei arbeiteten sich Migrationsforscher*innen vor allem an dem lange Zeit dominanten "Integrations-und Ungleichheitsparadigma" (Bommes 2003) und der Defizitperspektive auf Migrant*innen und deren Nachkommen (Mecheril et al. 2013: 17-18) ab. In diesem Rahmen erlangten u.a. die Kritiken am "methodologischen Nationalismus" (Wimmer/Glick Schiller 2003) und am "Paradigma kultureller Differenz" (Sökefeld 2007) an Gewicht innerhalb der Fachdiskussion. Einerseits wurde es im Angesicht einer "Transnationalisierung der sozialen Welt" (Pries 2007) als zusehends problematisch erachtet, den territorial begrenzten Nationalstaat und dessen politische Problemdefinitionen als quasi-natürlichen Bezugsrahmen für die Analyse von Migrationsprozessen vorauszusetzen. Andererseits wurde die Migrationsforschung mit dem Verdacht konfrontiert einer im 1 Reflexivität bezeichnet einen Modus der Selbstbeobachtung; in unserem Fall die Beobachtung migrationswissenschaftlicher Wissensproduktion aus dem Feld migrationswissenschaftlicher Wissensproduktion. Gleichzeitig beziehen wir uns damit auch auf das sich institutionalisierende Feld, innerhalb dessen die Konsequenzen von Selbstbeobachtung für die Gegenstandsbeschreibung diskutiert werden. Die von uns verwendete Formulierung Paradigma soll weder bedeuten, dass es sich um einen hermetischen Ansatz handelt, noch, dass wir anderen Migrationsforscher*innen ihre Reflexivität absprechen. Wir möchten aber performativ die Institutionalisierung von Reflexivität in der Migrationsforschung unterstützen und vorantreiben.
