This paper aims to provide a general overview of Greek studies in Italy from the end of the 1920s to the promulgation of the Italian racial laws at the end of 1938. The focus is mainly on the relationship between Greek studies and fascism, isolating some crucial figures such as Ettore Romagnoli, Giorgio Pasquali and Gennaro Perrotta, in order to reflect on the weight of the ideological conditioning exerted by the fascist regime in the field taken into consideration.
