Dyspepsia is a term that describes symptomps of upper middle abdominal discomfort. The risk factor that often associated with the incidence of functional dyspepsia is dietary factor. This study was conducted to determine the correlation between dietary pattern with the incidence of functional dyspepsia and this research was analytic using cross sectional approach. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling and the data was collected using questionnaire Rome IV criteria for dyspepsia functional and dietary pattern. It was analysed by Chi-Square test. Out of 173 respondents, 62 (35.8%) had functional dyspepsia. Analysis of  dietary pattern and the incidence of functional dyspepsia  for meal schedules obtained p-value 0.039(p <0.05) and for types of food and beverages obtained p-value 0.149(p> 0.05). There is a correlation of dietary pattern for meal schedules and functional dyspepsia, no correlation of dietary pattern for types of food and beverages and functional dyspepsia.

Liver cirrhosis is described as a diffused pathological process which marked with fibrosis and architectural changes of normal liver that becomes an abnormal nodular structure. Liver cirrhosis is caused by chronic liver disease of virus nor non virus. Thrombocytopenia is a hematology abnormality which frequently found on liver cirrhosis patients. Severity level and prognosis of liver cirrhosis can be determined by Child-Pugh classification. This research aims to know the difference of mean platelet count on liver cirrhosis patients based on Child-Pugh classification. It applied analytic observational method with cross-sectional design. The data was taken from medical records of patients at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital in Samarinda of 2018-2020 period. Statistical analysis was using Kruskal-Wallis test. The results showed liver cirrhosis patients in Child-Pugh C is at most. Mean platelet count of liver cirrhosis with Child-Pugh A is 73.250/?l, Child-Pugh B is 126.370/?l, and Child-...

Esophageal variceal bleeding is a complication that frequently occurs in patients with hepatic cirrhosis. Endoscopic ligation procedure  was primary perfomed for esophageal varices. Liver function abnormalities in cirrhosis cause a disorder of hemostasis resulting in a decrease in platelet count. The Limitations of platelet counts for endoscopy are obstacles when the procedure will be performed. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of platelet count to the incidence of bleeding during variceal ligation in patients with hepatic cirrhosis at Rumah Sakit Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda. The study was retrospective analytic with a cross sectional approach using purposive sampling using patient secondary data. Data analysis using Chi Square test (Fisher Exact Test). The results of the statistical analysis shows that p = 0.604 (> 0.05). There was no correlation between platelet count and the incidence of bleeding during esophageal varicose ligation in patients wi...

Liver cirrhosis is the last stage of chronic liver disease that is in the path of the disease can cause damage of liver function and/or portal hypertension. The prognosis of liver cirrhosis can be assessed by manifestations of liver function disorders with Child Pugh score that include the presence or absence of ascites, encephalopathy, bilirubin serum, albumin serum, and prothrombin time or INR, while portal hypertension also occurs in patient of cirrhosis can lead the formation of esophageal varices. APRI score has platelet count and AST serum as its variable is suspected to be related to the Child Pugh score in assessing prognosis of cirrhosis patients. This study purposed to find the relation between APRI score (Aspartate Aminotransferase-to-Platelet Ratio Index) and Child Pugh score. Purpose of this research is to find the relation between APRI score (Aspartate Aminotransferase-to-Platelet Ratio Index) and Child Pugh score and degree of esophageal varices in patients with cirrh...
