In addition, the evaluation of travel-related services by clients is also conducted online and constitutes electronic word-of-mouth communication, which is a kind of advertising with an impact on future tourists’ behaviour.
The present research focuses on the evaluation of accommodation in three destinations in the prefecture of Thesprotia through travel reviews posted on an online platform by clients from 2005 to 2016. The aim is an in-depth study of the data collected, in order to propose an innovative tool for measuring customer satisfaction meant to be as objective as possible and independent from other existing rating systems. The ultimate goal is to provide reliable information for the development of the tourism business strategy and the improvement of travel-related services.
More specifically, in order to achieve this, we begin by quickly referring to some consumer behaviour theories, as online reviews reflect behaviour and thus have a psychological basis. Then we have a look at the literature concerning the multiple features of electronic word-of-mouth communication, focusing on online travel reviews which is the object of our study, with emphasis on the advertising aspect of this kind of communication.
Subsequently, our main concern is to develop the theoretical background of our double methodological approach for the qualitative analysis of the online reviews. For this purpose, first we refer to Sentiment Analysis, which constitutes a major approach to the extraction of data from texts, Second, we overview the wide and complex field of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), which studies the ideology of discourse, the relations between power and language, as well as advertising discourse.
Then, we present the sample of the online reviews under study and discuss the methodology and results of both the quantitative and qualitative analyses. We also explain the way data have been processed with the use of tools of computational linguistics and statistics, and finally we discuss the results.
The study outcome has shown that the tool proposed by the research team can easily identify and analyse comments which, if taken into account, will help tourism entrepreneurs improve their services.

It dwells upon the legal issues of providing audio description, comparing national legislation on media accessibility and Declaration on the Rights of Disabled Persons, and their impact on the development of media accessibility services in these countries. Special attention is focused on describers' training both as degree training and further education courses. It also highlights insufficient financial support of accessibility services as one of the reasons for the slow development of Audio Description in Russia and Greece. The article analyzes the new opportunities for providing media accessibility, such as mobile applications and voluntary projects. It also presents an example of a service which can be viewed as a best practice to be shared and spread across other countries – an application Искусство.Вслух (Art.Vocally) with audio descriptions of theatre plays voiced by prominent actors and ...

According to many film critics, the particular movement was a milestone and despite its political comments, it was directly related to the American Cinema of that era. Many american film genres, as for example, the film noirs, the historical drama and many others made their entrance in the French society and had an immense success. On the contrary, the American society was also influenced by this new French movement which was closely related to fine art. So, one might wonder: Is the American Cinema the one who influenced the Nouvelle Vague or vice versa? This paper shows, through a detailed analysis, the close relation of Nouvelle Vague with Hollywood, taking into account aspects of aesthetics and political history.

In fact, their theories constitute a framework for the comprehension of gender issues. It is commonly accepted that the reflection of womanhood in contemporary art has undergone various changes. According to these two french feminists, women have been always struggling against male superiority and male vision of the world. This inequality of the genders is apparent from a very early age and it is obvious even in language issues. Both of them mentioned the deep relationship between body and language but also the need for a female discourse. This paper shows, through a detailed analysis, this eternal struggle in Voulgaris' film Brides where the audience experiences the many faces of womanhood during war times. This film achieves to deconstruct the image of the woman as an inferior human being. Through the script, the photog...

It is known that interlingual mediators are playing a huge part in the world of Information and Communication with the involving difficulties of common core theory and training. Moreover, technology can be the ideal tool to enhance accessibility. The boundaries between translation – in its widest sense, including communication and mediation – and other disciplines have become blurred; with the new millennium, we have witnessed the emergence and development of new forms, including media interpreting, free commentary, audiodescription, live subtitling, written interpretation, theatre or opera translation, all forms of localization, hyper-text and hyper-media translation, to name just a few (Gerzymisch-Arbogast, 2005). At the same time, interlingual and intercultural mediators switched from using pen and paper to using more sophisticated technological mediation tools for accessibility.
