Kabupaten Sumba Tengah adalah salah satu kabupaten yang terdapat di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur, hasil pemekaran dari Kabupaten Sumba Barat. Daya tarik wisata yang dimiliki oleh Kabupaten Sumba Tengah cukup beragam baik budaya maupun alam. Tantangan terberat Kabupaten Sumba Tengah dalam membangun sektor pariwisata adalah belum optimalnya pengelolaan daya tarik wisata karena masih terbatasnya fasilitas pendukung yang memadai dan kualitas SDM pariwisata. Peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dan usaha pariwisata sebagai fasilitas pendukung pembangunan pariwisata, sangat dibutuhkan di Kabupaten Sumba Tengah. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilakukan kepada Kelompok Masyarakat Pelaku Wisata Kabupaten Sumba Tengah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini antara lain adalah untuk (1) meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pariwisata berkelanjutan, (2) mengembangkan kesadaran tentang dampak pengembangan pariwisata, (3) meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kebersihan lingkungan dan kebersihan diri serta (4) meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan, diskusi dan demonstrasi. Kelompok Masyarakat Pelaku Wisata Kabupaten Sumba Tengah dapat mengikuti dengan baik kegiatan yang diselenggarakan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan terdapat penguasaan pengetahuan tentang pariwisata berkelanjutan, dampak pariwisata, serta kebersihan lingkungan dan kebersihan diri. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dilakukan untuk menciptakan kondisi yang memungkinkan potensi masyarakat untuk berkembang dan dapat berperan aktif dalam pembangunan pariwisata secara berkelanjutan. Pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan berkaitan dengan upaya menjamin agar sumber daya alam, sosial dan budaya yang dimanfaatkan untuk pembangunan pariwisata pada saat ini, masih dapat dinikmati untuk masa yang akan datang.

Indonesian traditional cake has a taste that is very unique, one of which is klepon. Klepon is unique because the color combination of green and white that comes from dough and grated coconut. Klepon also can be made from another easy ingredients which can be reached by the community, for example taro, cassava, and banana. Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan developed a training program of creating klepon in Woman Prison Tangerang Class IIA. This program was conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday, 19-20 July 2016 with total participants were 70 participants. Training program was led by lecturer and assisted by students of Hospitality Management. The program went very well. Training method used is presentation, demonstration and practice. Benefits derived by the participants through this program are (1) develop knowledge about traditional Indonesian cake, (2) enhance skills of the traditional cake creations, especially klepon, and (3) develop knowledge entrepreneurship. The program is expected to create self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of inmates in Woman Prison Tangerang Class IIA.

Kue tradisional Indonesia memiliki cita rasa yang sangat unik, salah satunya adalah klepon. Klepon adalah kue tradisional yang unik karena kombinasi warna hijau dan putih yang berasal dari adonan dan parutan kelapa. Klepon juga dapat dibuat dari bahan lain yang mudah didapat oleh masyarakat, misalnya talas, singkong, dan pisang. Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan mengembangkan program pelatihan tentang kreasi klepon di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Kelas IIA Tangerang. Program ini dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa dan Rabu 19-20 Juli 2016 dengan jumlah peserta 70 peserta. Program pelatihan dipimpin oleh dosen dan dibantu oleh mahasiswa program studi Manajemen Perhotelan. Pelaksanaan program pelatihan berjalan dengan sangat baik. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan adalah presentasi, demonstrasi dan praktik. Manfaat yang diperoleh oleh peserta melalui program ini adalah (1) mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang kue tradisional Indonesia, (2) mengembangkan keterampilan tentang kreasi kue tradisional, khususnya klepon, dan (3) mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan. Program ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan kemandirian dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup bagi warga binaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Kelas IIA Tangerang.

This research was instrumental in the development of sustainable tourism in Tanjung Kelayang Special Economic Zone. Successful management of tourism destinations is not only measured by the increase in the competitiveness of related destinations, but also the views of the extent to which these destinations can apply the principles of sustainable tourism. Tanjung Kelayang as one of the priority destinations of tourist visits, committed to develop sustainable tourism. Sustainable tourism development will keep meeting the needs of tourists and protection of the area for an opportunity in the future where the community as the main actor. This study aims to measure the community satisfaction of the four dimensions of sustainable tourism,
environmental, economic, social, cultural and institutional. This research is descriptive research. Data will be analyzed using SPSS to test the validity and reliability tests with Cronbach Alpha. The results of this study showed that the four dimensions of sustainable tourism, environmental, economic, social-cultural and institutional influence community satisfaction. These results provide initial support for the development of sustainable tourism in the Tanjung Kelayang Special Economic Zone.

Purpose: Tourism is becoming increasingly more important in economic development. Aware of this potential, organizations, governments, professionals, and scholars that are involved in tourism development recognize the need and right for stakeholders to be included and involved in the tourism development process. The focus on more stakeholder participation emphasizes its ability to handles multiple perceived issues. The purpose of the paper is to identify stakeholders of Central Sumba who is responsible for the development of a tourism destination and how they have been applied in relation to sustainable tourism development.

Design/methodology/approach: A qualitative research method was chosen. The data are based on the interviews of tourism stakeholders in Central Sumba. Data were collected via semi-structured, in-depth interviews with 25 representatives. In order to capture the widest variety of local, regional and national viewpoints on the implementation of sustainable tourism development situation, local residents, governmental, non-governmental and private sectors were included.
Findings: The level of leadership among the stakeholders in Central Sumba varied, yet still depends on the public sectors which is local government. The public sectors seem to have a greater role and more responsibility in developing the destinations.

Originality/value: The paper discusses the roles of tourism stakeholders.

Purpose: This study will specialize discussion in hotel business sector, particularly the 3-star hotels in Jakarta. 3-star hotels getting tough competition from budget hotels that continue to emerge in Jakarta and surrounding areas. Increased competition in the service industry for causing a company to be very concerned in terms of acquiring and retaining customers. Customer complaints is also the reason research in a 3-star hotels, in addition to the emergence of a budget hotel which adds competition within 3-star hotels. The paper aim to examine and explain the variable service quality, commitment, customer loyalty and influence between these variables.

Design/methodology/approach: The unit of analysis in this research is the organization, 3-star hotels in Jakarta. The data collected data through a structured questionnaire based on the review of relevant literatures and an overview of the theories. Data were analyzed using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling).

Findings: There is a positive influence of service quality on customer loyalty. They have a strong emotional attachment to the hotel that provides the right services, quickly, in accordance with promised and will promote it among friends, family and colleagues. There is a positive influence of the service quality on commitment. Hotel employees who look neat, show sincerity to help make customers feel an emotional bond, being concerned with the success of the hotel, have a sense of belonging, stayed at the hotel because of the need and hard to stay at another hotel. There is a positive influence of commitment on customer loyalty. Hotels that form a strong emotional bond so customers will choose this hotel brands and do not want to stay at another hotel.
Originality/value: Commitment appropriately used in the context of a 3-star hotel to be able to induce customer loyalty, to see the positive influence on the relations to customer loyalty.

Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih is located in Pasir Eurih Village, District Taman Sari, Bogor and since 2012 the village area was introduced as a " desa wisata ". Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih has a natural and cultural attraction that could attract tourists. Tourism activity in Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih designed to allow tourists to feel directly the natural potential and interact with people. Problems encountered in the development of tourism are local community do not have an understanding of the development of community-based rural tourism; lack of cooperation between the local community with external parties for community-based rural tourism development; unavailability of tour packages that collaborate between attraction and tourist activity and lack of local community skills in terms of conducting tours so that tourists who come less get tourist information and travel experience. This can be an obstacle in promoting Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih as a tourism product. Community service is performed in an effort to increase community empowerment group which is a group administrator of the Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih. The purpose of this activity is to (1) improve the quality of tourism human resources, (2) develop service standards and (3) improving the welfare of society. Method of activities carried out in the form of counseling, training, and mentoring. Participants can take part in activities with well. The results of this work show there is the acquisition of knowledge about the management of community-based rural tourism, tour packages, travel brochures and tour guiding techniques. Empowering communities through rural tourism is expected to contribute to the economy, either directly or indirectly to the local community, and increased social life.

Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih berada di Desa Pasir Eurih, Kecamatan Taman Sari, Kabupaten Bogor dan sejak tahun 2012 kawasan desa ini dijadikan desa wisata. Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih memiliki daya tarik wisata alam maupun budaya yang mampu menarik wisatawan. Aktivitas wisata di Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih dirancang agar wisatawan dapat merasakan langsung potensi alam dan berinteraksi dengan masyarakat. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih antara lain masyarakat belum memiliki pemahaman tentang pengembangan desa wisata yang berbasis masyarakat; belum adanya kerja sama antara masyarakat desa dengan pihak eksternal untuk pengembangan desa wisata yang berbasis masyarakat; belum tersedianya paket wisata yang mengkolaborasikan antara daya tarik wisata dan aktivitas wisata dan kurangnya kemampuan masyarakat dalam hal pemanduan wisata sehingga wisatawan yang datang kurang mendapatkan informasi wisata dan pengalaman berwisata. Hal ini dapat menjadi kendala dalam memasarkan Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih sebagai produk wisata. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah dalam upaya peningkatan pemberdayaan kelompok masyarakat yang merupakan kelompok pengelola Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini antara lain adalah untuk (1) meningkatkan kualitas SDM pariwisata, (2) mengembangkan standar layanan dan (3) meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Kelompok pengelola Desa Wisata Pasir Eurih dapat mengikuti dengan baik kegiatan yang diselenggarakan.

Untung Jawa Island is located in the Thousand Islands is an area that requires the jetty for the local community and tourists to reach the islands. The visit of tourists to the coastal areas and islands will increase the value of the social, economic, and cultural communities. One jetty on the Untung Jawa Island in damaged condition. Development planning is needed to support economic activity in Untung Jawa Island. Jetty improvement should be observe to all aspects so as to support the appeal of the tourist attractions in the region. The purpose of the study is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the principles and rules in planning the jetty. This study uses a descriptive study to help researchers in assessing various aspects in the development of the jetty. The results of this research is produce some guidance for stakeholders on planning and coordinating the construction of the jetty in Untung Jawa Island.

Pulau Untung Jawa yang berada di Kepulauan Seribu merupakan kawasan perairan yang memerlukan keberadaan dermaga baik bagi masyarakat maupun wisatawan untuk menjangkau pulau-pulau. Kunjungan wisatawan ke wilayah pesisir dan pulau-pulau akan meningkatkan nilai sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya masyarakat. Salah satu dermaga yang berada di Pulau Untung Jawa dalam kondisi rusak. Perencanaan pembangunan sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung kegiatan perekonomian di Pulau Untung Jawa. Perbaikan dermaga hendaknya dapat memperhatikan segala aspek sehingga mampu mendukung daya tarik wisata yang ditawarkan di kawasan tersebut. Tujuan dari penyusunan kajian pengembangan dermaga di Pulau Untung Jawa adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman secara komprehensif mengenai prinsip dan kaidah dalam perencanaan dermaga. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi deskriptif untuk membantu peneliti dalam mengkaji berbagai aspek dalam pengembangan dermaga. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terciptanya panduan bagi para pemangku kepentingan dalam merencanakan dan berkoordinasi dalam pembangunan dermaga di Pulau Untung Jawa.

Agrotourism is one ofthe potential alternatives to be developed in the village. Agrotourism can be classified into ecotourism activities as ecotourism is a form oftravel that does not damage or contaminate nature with the purpose to admire and enjoy the beauty of nature, animals or wild plants in their natural environment as well as educational facilities. The purpose of this study (1) to identify the potential and development efforts in the Kampung Domba Terpadu, Juhut and (2) identify the obstacles encountered in the development of agrotourism in Kampung Domba Terpadu, Juhut. The method used in this research is descriptive and data collection methods are observation and interviews and secondary data collection. The results ofthis study are (1) Kampung Domba Terpadu, Juhut has the potential to become one of the agrotourism area and the efforts made to potential support include (a) approach advocary in developing agreements with outside parties, (b) an agreement on the division of revenue between the travel agency with the manager agrotourism and (c) develop infrastructure such as roads, shelter, location to enjoy the natural scenery, toilets, and map / sketch tourist area, and (2) there are constraints based on the aspect ofa concept or paradigm, social aspect and aspect ofartifacts or material in the development ofagrotourism in Kampung Domba Terpadu, Juhut.

Agrowisata adalah salah satu alternatif potensial untuk dikembangkan di desa. Agrowisata dapat dikelompokkan ke dalam ekowisata karena agrowisata adalah bentuk kegiatan perjalanan wisata yang tidak merusak atau mencemari alam dengan tujuan untuk mengagumi dan menikmati keindahan alam, hewan atau tumbuhan liar di lingkungan alaminya serta sebagai sarana pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) potensi yang dimiliki dan upaya pengembangan agrowisata di Kampung Domba Terpadu, Juhut serta (2) mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam pengembangan agrowisata di Kampung Domba Terpadu, Juhut. Metode yang digunakan bersifat deskriptif, ekksploratif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara serta pengumpulan data sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Kampung Domba Terpadu, memiliki potensi untuk menjadi salah satu kawasan agrowisata dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk mendukung potensi antara lain dengan (a) melakukan pendekatan advocary dalam mengembangkan kesepakatan dengan pihak luar, (b) melakukan kesepakatan tentang pembagian penerimaan antara biro perjalanan dengan pihak pengelola agrowisata dan (c) mengembangkan prasarana seperti jalan, tempat berteduh, lokasi untuk menikmati pemandangan alam, toilet, dan peta/sketsa kawasan wisata dan (2) terdapat kendala berdasarkan aspek konsep atau pola pikir, aspek sosial dan aspek artefak atau kebendaan dalam mengembangkan Kampung Domba Terpadu, Juhut. Purpose – The use of green practices in the foodservice industry has become an interest area in in the world of travel, tourism, and hospitality. Many foodservice operators have accepted the importance of promoting environmental awareness to create competitive advantages. The foodservice industry is one of the biggest consumers of energy. The paper aims to examine generation Y' perceptions, sustainability and purchase intentions on green practice in order to help determine strategies regarding the future management of green initiatives. Design/methodology/approach – The study used a convenience sample of consumers of the restaurant. The survey asked respondents to indicate their level of agreement to a variety of statements about the use of green practices, sustainability and purchase intentions in the foodservice industry. The survey also asked respondents to indicate their demographic profile. Respondents are generation Y who were born 1981-2000. The data were analyzed by using SPSS. Findings – The results revealed that generation Y believed that they have the knowledges about green practices and sustainability but they would still like to know more about it. They also expressed preferences related to restaurants that are environmentally friendly and use environmentally safe products. Originality/value – This study found that gender influenced generation Y' perceptions about purchase intentions to the green restaurants.

Taiwan is a country famous night market and has the most attractive snack in Asia. Taiwan snack began to flourish in Indonesia and favored by teenagers. Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan developed a training program of making Taiwan snacks with the taste of Indonesia, called fusion, for students of vocational high school. Students of SMK Negeri 7 Tangerang Selatan selected to attend this training program. This program was conducted on 14-15 Augustus 2015 with total participants were 30 students. The purpose of this training are (1) develop innovation of Taiwan snacks with creation of the taste of Indonesia, (2) introducing Taiwan snacks with creation of the taste of Indonesia (3) increase knowledge and skills in food processing and (4) developing the partnership. Training method used are lecture, demonstration and practice. This training goes well and the success of the program can be indicated by an increase quiz results in pre-test and post-test.

Taiwan adalah sebuah negara yang terkenal dengan pasar malamnya dan memiliki kudapan paling menarik di Asia. Kudapan Taiwan mulai digemari di Indonesia khususnya oleh para remaja. Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan mengembangkan kegiatan pelatihan membuat kudapan Taiwan dengan cita rasa Indonesia untuk siswa SMK. Siswa SMK Negeri 7 Tangerang Selatan terpilih untuk menjadi peserta pelatihan yang diselenggarakan pada 14-15 Agustus 2015 dengan jumlah peserta 30 siswa. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk (1) mengembangkan inovasi dalam kudapan Taiwan dengan kreasi cita rasa Indonesia, (2) memperkenalkan kudapan Taiwan dengan kreasi cita rasa Indonesia yang belum ada di Indonesia, (3) meningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan di bidang pengolahan makanan dan (4) membangun bentuk kerja sama antara Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan dengan SMK Negeri 1 Tangerang Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyampaian materi, demonstrasi dan praktik. Kegiatan ini berjalan dengan baik dan keberhasilan program dapat ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan hasil kuis pada saat pre-test dan post-test.
