The World Health Organization (WHO) states that smoking is a person who daily for the past month, have you smoked any amount of cigarettes, even one. In recent years it has been recognized snuff consumption as a major cause of increased morbidity of people, partnering directly, respiratory, oncology and other cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of smoking in the working population of cardiovascular Hospital del Niño. Objective: To assess the presence of depressive symptoms in patients with myocardial revascularization belonging to a cardiac rehabilitation program of institutional. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was developed. All patients undergoing revascularization belonging to cardiac rehabilitation program of the institution were evaluated with the PHQ-9 ® instrument. Results: We included a total of 30 patients, of whom 33.3% were female and 66.6% male. Se presenta paciente masculino de 54 anos de edad, diagnosticado con nefritis lupica clase v. el paciente presenta importante compromiso en piel, antecedentes familiares de lupus diagnosticado en hermano y sospecha de lupus en hermana. el paciente presenta adecuada respuesta a tratamiento de induccion y mantenimiento lo cual se ha evidenciado en el seguimiento realizado a los niveles de proteinuria en sangre. Clinical practice guidelines (CPG) are recommendations based on a systematic review of scientific evidence and generally these documents are under constant assess. For this matter, a group of health-professionals which belong to Fundación Centro Colombiano de Hipoterapia evaluated the use and quality of the used CPG using AGREE II instrument. The obtained results evidence correlation between both parameters since health-professionals trust in their acquired experience without detracting from the benefits that can be obtained with the use of guidelines. Among the mentioned benefits, improving the quality of care, effectiveness in clinical decisions, and the optimization of costs related to health care can be mentioned. Nonetheless, health-professionals reflect uncertainty in the recommendations generated by the guidelines because of the barriers presented such as strictness in its elaboration, it lacks in updates, audits and evaluations. Se presenta el caso clínico de un paciente de 3 a ˜ nos con Persistencia del Conducto Arterioso (PCA) tra-tado previamente con dispositivo septal migrado a aorta torácica descendente. El caso fue atendido en nuestra institución un a ˜ no después de presentarse la complicación, por lo cual se requirió del manejo quirúrgico bajo complejas técnicas de resección y reconstrucción aórtica y manejo según protocolos de hipotermia profunda. En este artículo se describen las técnicas y los tiempos utilizados para lograr el objetivo propuesto con una evolución satisfactoria del paciente. a b s t r a c t Clinical case of a three years old male case with persistent ductus arteriosus, previously treated with Septal Occluder Device, migrated to descendent thoracic aorta, this case were treated in our hospital after one year of complication; so it was required under complex surgical management techniques aortic resection and reconstruction and application of deep hypothermic protocol. This article describes time and technics used to get therapeutic objectives with a patient favorable evolution.
